1. Usually for first timers, it’s the ‘wham’ on first bite as the taste and texture hits. Your body will have a first reaction trying to make sense. I recommend trying and give the chance to the whole piece. It’s the later bites that tell you the story if you like it or not. Some would opt for a milder version first like ice-cream to slowly ‘acquire’ the taste. 2. I observed that for first timers, too much emphasis on how it smells and some may already have negative thoughts about it, it’s the preconceived notion that putting the pressure on. 3. I’ve seen an experiment where if you put a first timer in a room, who’s able to eat/like durian, the other person/partner also will react the same, liking it too. But if one acts negatively, the other one follows suit, so both ended up not liking it. Try to observe it the next time you see these type of durian first timers vids. Some very interesting experiment on how we human perceive taste and experience. We are not independent to thoughts and direct influences.
Thank you for the detailed suggestions on trying Durian and also the mental side of our experience. I totally agree with your breakdown of the situation. My wife and I plan on trying Durian again and this time we plan on keeping a bit more of a clear and open mind. Having smelled the fruit all over Malaysia there was a bit of a “build up” getting to actually taste it and we def had preconceived notions on how it would taste. We appreciate you showing us LOVE and taking the time to watch our content! Blessings from my family to yours!🙏🏿❤️
@ I hope I don’t put pressure on you to try again. It’s okay to not like durian, many don’t. Some like it, can eat it but don’t love it. It’s always fascinating social experiment on the subject of durian to me to see first timers eating it.
You guys are great, love the intro music and reactions to the fruit! “Like a she turnin into an asshole”😆 Looks like a funky experience Durian for $23. Thank you for tasting it for me because I’ve always wanted to try it.
😅🙏🏿Man thanks for the love, and thank you for taking the time to check out our content! The durian was just a bit too funky for us but we’ve heard we need to give it another chance😩. Thanks again and please like and subscribe when you get a moment! Blessings!

It is what it is. Like Durian or not is built into our DNA. And for the most part, you can't do anything about it to make you like it if your DNA tells you that you're the type that can't have Durian, no matter what you do. That's why I appreciate those that tried. Better to know whether you're in the Hell Yeah or Hell No than to stay not knowing in my book.
If u wanna try u should get the normal durian like D24, because the musang king durian is for advanced people who like durian so much and it's expensive too.
Thank you for the recommendation. Yes we heard we need to crawl before we walk! We plan on trying Durian again! We will keep you updated! Blessings! 🙏🏿

when first eat the durian, don't bite, sip it, then u can have the tastes around your mouth and its getting even tastier if you keep it for a while in the mouth...

No worries for not liking it. There’s always something that we don’t like or hate about food. If you really feel let down by the durian, try a ice-cream durian first. Built up the tolerance for the taste. It takes awhile to get used to durian. I haven’t eat durian for years sometimes I do miss it.
Thank you for the kind words and the suggestion of the ice cream! We will give that a shot and see if it helps us ease into our next round of Durian! Blessings from my family to yours!🙏🏿
Hello good sir! Thank you for checking in on us! 😁🙏🏿Yes as he said in the comments I believe it stains everything really bad! I’m not trying to pay for nothing extra that gets stained 😩. I hope all has been well with you and yours! Blessings
It's okay if you don't like it..... But here in Malaysia, there is a saying that if you try durian 3-4 times, eventually the taste will be better ..... Some Japanese, Koreans or even Europeans said it was delicious..... Whatever, thanks for trying..... !!!
Thank you for the feedback! We have agreed to try it a 2nd time😩😅🙏🏿. We are very open minded and would love to learn to enjoy Durian! Thank you for checking out our content and please like and subscribe when you get a moment! Blessings!🙏🏿
@@TheWrightDestination go for durian kampung, d24 or udang merah the next time you try, see whether you like it. These has less bitter and alcoholic taste. Musang king or black thorn are for advanced people.
Great idea! We just stopped at the first location we saw. We would have loved to try it with a real local! Thank you for taking the time to check out our content! Blessings 🙏🏿❤️
Don't start with the premium first. There are many varieties of durian in Malaysia. You may start with the basic durian, i.e., durian kampung, or the sweet ones like D13 or blackthorn. Musang King is too gassy at times, and only those who have familiarized their palate with durians will enjoy Musang King or any other varieties of durians. Pls try many times, you'll enjoy eating durians after this.
Ok thank you for the info and positive comment. We thought maybe the better one we got the better it would taste. We had some backwards thinking😩. Thank you for taking the time to check out our content!🙏🏿❤️
Bro.. that's Musang King, top of the line.. the Ferrari of durian. It's ok, come back later, some people acquired the taste 5 or 10 years later. No worries 😂
Thank you for the love! We appreciate you breaking that down for us. We wanted to make sure we got a “good quality” Durian! Maybe we should have crawled before we walked!😩😅. Thanks again and please like and subscribe when you get time! Blessings!🙏🏿
lol I know, I totally get it. My pallet just could not handle the taste. We heard we need to try it a few more times so we plan on giving it another shot with a different variety of Durian. Thank you for checking out or content and taking the time to comment. Blessings from my family to yours!🙏🏿
