    It appears towards the end of the video i actually managed to catch a couple of Coalfish. It's been years since i caught one and i couldn't tell the difference. Good to know for future reference the Coalfish has a straight, white lateral line, whereas the Pollack has a distinct curve in its. The Coalfish has a blunter jaw line, whereas the pollack's lower jaw protrudes further. The Pollack also has bigger eyes, relative to its size when compared to those of the Coalfish. Pollack are also generally have Brown to Golden backs and Coalfish have dark to greenish backs.

    Blue therapy aka the blue mind is a real thing. Fishing and being around water is very therapeutic. Tight lines out there!

      Yes I know it is a real thing and a very good thing. I shall at some point do something to support it.

    Great video , jigging with bfs tackle is fun
    Snags though hurt like hell especially if you loose a leader lol
    That last jig from allblue is daiwa replica and it works great , also try xesta micro slow bee ( allblue should have that too )

      Cheers mate. Leaders are a buggar to tie on the bank. Currently using an Albright knot unless fishing on the bottom, then it’s an FG.

      @@TheConstantAngler with my medium setup i always run Away with loosing the palomar clip knot and save the leader but on bfs 0.3pe it is always the leader broke off even fg knot cant overcome clip knot

    Great video! With the last metal you used, I'd have attached the line to the opposite end of the lure. Do you find a better hook up rate attaching to the end that you did?

      To be honest I was a bit tired and didn’t notice I had put it on the wrong end. Daft I know but it did seem to work well.

    Great fishing again just if I 2as to get into this with not alot of money what would you reck amend in Rod and reel from ailexpress as an all rounder what your doing and perch, trout, nice rod and reel you have all so thanks for the video 😊

      I would definitely go for the new Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra or a Fishband PW100 pro reel. The Kuying Teton range of rods have plenty with lure weights to suit your needs. You could get a cheaper rod from Acehawk. There Double tip rod has an UL and Light tip. It’s not expensive at all but well recommend

    Do you do this literally all year round? Do you ever catch keeper Pollock?

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  5 місяців тому

      They seem to be mostly small these days. Once in a blue moon they are bigger. Depends where you live. Some places I wouldn’t use this light a gear as they are too big. Mostly the Autumn through to late Spring

    • @TheConstantAngler

      @@hesalovelybuoy5944 it does help but is not essential. Pollack like a bit of deep water and it is easier to work your lures in deeper water

      I got the Ryobi ranmi rod you recommended and need to give it a go on the Pollock up here in south Northumberland. I would like to know more about how you basically catch all types of fish on different lures all on bfs lures, all year round

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  3 місяці тому

      @@hesalovelybuoy5944 just do what you would normally do for LRF but with BFS gear instead. Use 0.6# PE braid to 8-10lb Floro leader and scale up or down to suit the ground you are fishing over.

    Dark wolf salt water ok?

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  2 роки тому +1

      Yes fine. Use it all the time. Make sure to wipe it off, particularly the spool rim and the level wind, real seat. I tighten the drag and lightly spray the reel off with warm water after each trip. Every so often take the line off the spool and wipe it off with a damp cloth so as it doesn’t corrode. Drop off oil in the bearings and spot of grease on the level wind should be good.
