Ragwort everywhere this year, just spent all yesterday at the same. I can honestly say i’ve never stood in a turf bog in my life but if i had it i’d use it
Fair play Gavin often spent from 8 to 8 on the bog hated ever min of it and that was in the late 80's early 90's when i built my house still went for solid fuel but mostly timber and odd bag of coal your getting to be a trend setter i farm we farm following you in the fencing post fair play to him for given u the credit for it 👍👍
I think an ibc tank with the top off would be ideal for drawing the turf in a wet bog like that. Easier and faster than filling a plastic bag one handed instead of two into an IBC. You could even use the winch in the worst parts.
In the honor of jaysus will you stop giving out about the bog and turf. You should be encouraging more people out into the bog so the government get annoyed with us. I do enjoy the bog,I have to admit. A place of tranquility and reflection all while providing warmth for the winter. Serious job on the ragworth Gavin,I've noticed the past two years it's gotten very wide spread.

Was thinking of making some sort of sled like with a old bonnet or sheet to bring it out but luckily just dry enough to travel
The roof off an old car best sled or float
Cracking video as always lad
Cheers boss
could you not have put the turf into the quad trailer with putting it into the fert bags ?
Would usually but we keep them in fert bags and had to transfer to bigger trailer easier in the bags
Good stuff
Cheers padraig
