    I replaced my plastic shocktowers with selfmade Carbon ones thx to your Video. My FTX Hooligan is so much more stabile when driving curves.

      Me 2 . I want a new MT. and with so many options out there it's tough to decide. I really like the chassis and the rest of the plastics on this one as well as electronics.. However you got the Kraton out there thats super tough and a lot less doh. But I do really like Kyosho stuff.. I'm going to wait n see what else you have to say about this one.

      I will be taking it back out bashing on 6s this coming Friday and I put a 20T pinion in it. After that run I'll tune the diff's and take it back out to see how that work and I'm really hoping it's worth the $700 after all that

      Seriously tho.. Too many RC's out there are wayy over priced. IE anything from Traxxas and some others. I appreciate you and others showing us some real world feedback on these rigs! Good luck. I'm subbed and notificationated.

      Thank you bro. I agree man it seems to me like the more you pay the crappier the Rc is. I have had the Nero Big Rock, E-Revo, X-Maxx and didn't like any of them and now this truck seems like it might fall in with those trucks and I was really hoping that wasn't going to be the case

      Sorry to bug you, I wanted to ask you about this. So I put a 20T pinion in the Psycho is that what you were talking about or should I put a smaller one in like a 14 or 15T? It came with a 17T. Thanks very much

    • @Sandra_RCs
      @Sandra_RCs 7 років тому +1

      If it come with a 17T u cant put a smaller one in or it will go Slower... so put the 20T in , when u do the first run, now its not that big step but, u should always check after like a few jumps or mins to see if the motor or ESC is much hotter then it use to be, and then do a check when u think u run 50% of the battery , and then do 1 more check when u replace the battery. just to make sure they are not on a dangerous level....
      Now if the Tags increase had been more u should put ur fingers or hands over the Motor and ESC b4 u touch them , coz they can get reallly really really hot...
      And remember this Truck was not made for 4s but 6s

    Hey Gary. I would fill the diffs before running that truck again. My Mad Force just had light grease in the diffs. The way that one jumps with three diffs is telling me it also has just grease. It will handle much different once the diffs are filled, especially in the air off the jumps. Too much power bleeding to front to control your jumps. Awesome video on making your own shock tower! Great job! Also I would thicken your shock oil in the rear, another reason she is nose diving in the air, probably slapping the bottom near the rear on the jump ramp.

    • @DragonfireRC
      @DragonfireRC 7 років тому +1

      Good starting point for a racing Truggy like this one would be 7k front, 20k center, 3k rear diff oil. Should make it handle very well.

      You are welcome. I would not give up on this truck. The Inferno 1/8th scale series that it is based off of have won 8 IFMAR world championships. The newest MP9 has new 3mm thick shock towers...lol. Guess they noticed what you did. Many of the parts are interchangeable with the Inferno series of buggies/truggies, so some heavy duty upgrade parts should fit it from the Inferno series. Funny, lots of Infernos are shown with carbon fiber shock towers installed. Known weak point. Once dialed in these handle very well on a track, not sure how suitable it is for bashing due to the race heritage.

      I guess we will find out if bashing can be put on it's list lol thanks again

    not removing the cut outs should add strength to the shock tower I think that was a good call will be interesting to see how it works

    I just converted a Kyosho Inferno neo St 2.0 to brushless and i never even ran it before i decided to order sone 3mm carbon fiber and do this. If it doesn't hikd up then i will give 5mm a try.

    Hey Gary. Just thought of something. Make sure your fail-safe is set from the factory. Kyosho has a habit of not having it activated! Turn on the truck and radio with it up on a stand and then turn the radio off, default on mine was full throttle upon loss of connection! Not good....Instructions in the manual walk you through turning on the fail-safe for their radio system.

    • @killeroffroadhobbyz

      Right on man I'm working on it right now so I'll do that

    I dont want to put you off but I did the same thing for my VORZA and I tell you I bumped into the wheel of my sisters car and it just cracked, you might want to try 4MM carbon or better still do what I did and use 4MM aluminium, after 6 months it still has not broken and I give my cars a really hard time

    Hi, the carbon towers also might crack on hard impacts , might need to look for some kind of protection for the towers like the kraton has wing/wingmount

      The motor only has 1500kv, so you haven't got very much rpm on 4s.
      On 6s you should have power.
