Not sure how i missed this useful vid of yours since I'm new to the Hot Toys hobby and I've watched/rewatched 50 or so of yours! Lots of Neco's too. My self-taught knowledge with premium figures has been 95% UA-cam binging from many & going back 6+ years to pick up trends. These "Figure 101" style vids are SO valuable and even have a dozen or so YT Playlists to categorize the hobby's tips and trends & obviously demos or genres, etc. Crazy algorithm I suppose. Thanks Will.
Great video, really helpful for new collectors. I started collecting hot toys in 2020. now I have 10 figures. I have the same approach from the beginning. Only buying figures I really love. No lines just characters I care the most.
I've always liked this sections you've made in other streams, great idea to include it your own channel. Very informative and well resumed even for veterans collectors. Greetings !!!
I've been in the sixth scale hobby since 2008. And I still don't know why I continue to collect Hot Toys! Realistic appearance? Of course! But there's something else about it, that keeps in interested.
Really good video, or videos if you include the one on tier based collecting. I haven't had a problem so far with choosing the characters I want represented, but a lot of the time I have a hard time choosing which version of a character I want as I am trying to stick to a one figure per character rule.
@@WillFoxification Yeah, you are right. Trouble is I like the IW/NWH look for Doctor Strange, but the new headsculpt for Multiverse of Madness looks so good. 😄
Thanks for the vid. It gave me a bit of an introspective view into myself, why I collect Hot Toys figure and what I like about them. I do not collect anything Star Wars but in a year I have bought lots of DC and Marvel Hot Toys figures. I like the fact that unlike statues, I can pose them if I want to. They are expensive mind you and I think that I went a bit overboard with my first year spending (about 2 figures per month in 1 year plus I preordered another 3) so I will look at calming myself down a bit. But I love the figures, I love the colours, the way they feel, they look. I love looking at the clothes feel the material, looking at the folds and creases. Shame about the Bane faux leather coat flaking though :(
awesome! Yes, I've been there myself. It becomes easy to improve when you take an objective look at your collecting habits. Yeah the pleather peeling sucks :(
@@WillFoxification After all all my talk of restraing myself I went and ordered another 3 figures last night (Falcon, Black Widow and Red Skull) My wife will kill me in my sleep.
Flawless presentation! If you need a TLDW: See what KēCo does and do the opposite.
Hahah thanks, bro! Nahhh Mr. Keco of House of the Horse has a wonderful collecting philosophy too
Great video! Even for experienced folks!
thanks, Xander!
I’m stoked you’re expanding past just live streams, listening now!
Thanks, Sunamo! Hoping to do more unique stuff soon too!
Great primer on Hot Toys collecting Will. Smooth presentation.
Thanks so much! :)

Great video and solid guidance. I’ve bought Hot Toys since 2000 and been collecting for over 40 years.
Damn, nice! That's some experience!
Really enjoyed it! Wish I had known all this when I started. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way. 😂

That can be tricky. It's a matter of determining the iconic look for you.
