Hello everyone. I just got my chair a few minutes ago. Some 35 kg to handle and I ordered this chair because I have pain in my back. Ha ha! This Chair is a marvel. Neither too hard nor too soft it perfectly fits my body. As a composer like you I presume I have to sit some time more than 10 hours a day. So it is a must have. Now in October 2015 it is much easier to assemble than what I have seen on your tutorial. There's only 4 screws to fix. If you measure more than 1.95 meter, the headrest is a little too low. It's the lonely cons I have. The price is pretty good comparatively to Aeron. And it looks pretty robust. 5 years later it's still like new. And I use it more than 6 hours a day. 👍👍👍
+Philippe Heritier : Congratulations on your chair! I am glad they changed the install process to make it easier to install. It was a bit of pain hahaha!
Thank you! I've spent all weekend trying to settle on what to get, and I think this is the one! All the features you showed off really have me sold on it. With all this work at home due to social distancing my back has been getting really sore due to my poor home office set up. This should help a ton!
@@yacek1234 So I actually ended up with a different chair =P For the last year I've been using the Herman Miller Embody, and would never go back to any other ergo chair. Just avoid the gamer edition of the Embody. It has this terrible foam in it.
August 22, 2018 ... Greetings to all, I want to express and give my opinion of my experience with this ergonomic chair very complete in mesh your back and seat, independent that it is not a cheap product but it is worth your purchase, because I have it already now 6 years from Germany that came to me on ONLINE purchase and I bought it because I had to undergo spinal surgery and fused several lumbar vertebrae with total success and at that time I was wondering which would be the best desk chair and I chose this one after an analysis of the best world chairs; today after these years using it every day is phenomenal, I finish each task without exhaustion and no problem in the positions that as you can see is multipositional and versatile; I am delighted and I plan to buy another one for my daughter at her desk soon, I have not had to replace parts either, it is very durable, although I would like to replace the right arm support my daughter was very small and she gave her a bite as it is soft rubber, she gave it interest, hahaha, I hope to find a right arm support in these times and so it looks cute as always ... Thank you all.
I keep coming back to look at this chair and your videos in regards other ergo office chairs. Would you suggest the leather seat over the mesh seat model, or have you tried the mesh seat? There is no nearby store that is near where I live which has the ergohuman to try out for myself. I also have a bad back and the seat is just as important for me as the lumbar support. Thank you.
nomane bear : I have the leather because I like the feeling of the padding which is very comfortable. The mesh doesn't have the padding. I have not tried the mesh, but I hear that it is a lot cooler as you have ventilation. The leather offers very good padding and I don't get too hot from sitting on it for hours on an end.
Hi . Great video . I have a question : is the lumbar support adjustable ? I know you can adjust the height of the back plate and the lumbar plate, but can you independently adjust the lumbar height or spring tension ?
Yes and No, the lumbar is adjustable up and down. The spring tension, unfortunately, is not adjustable. If looking for very adjustable lumbar, look at the Steelcase Leap. The Leap is both height and spring adjustable
Which one did you end up buying? The Embody is like almost 3 times as expensive as the ergohuman. Three times as good? Highly doubt it, and it's not like you're purchasing garbage getting an ergohuman. I would therefore go for the ergohuman.
@@uyso6045 hey, I actually got this one, except the mesh version, and it's not bad, sadly the other one was not locally available so I never tried it :(
Can sit with your logs crossed comfortably on this chair? cause i tend to site crossed leg on my chair. I really want to buy the ERGOHUMAN LUXURY LEATHER but not sure if one can sit on it comfortably if crossed leg thanks . How has your experience with the chair been 7 years later if you still have it? has it been durable. thank you
I found the chair to ber quite good apart from some things: the seat height doesn't go low enough. I'm 173cm and my feet are just touching the ground flat without shoes on. Although I find it fine, it might be a little too high for shorter people. Second is the lumbar support - good for sitting upright but once you sit at an angle or recline, it arches into you, and it can't be adjusted back, only up and down. Third is the top edge/frame of the lumbar support is quite hard and digs into you. I also have a different type of arm rest to the one pictured - it has a round end. Would anyone know if the arm rest that I have is a newer or older version? and can it be adjusted to slide forwards or backwards like the one in the video?
+moogoogaipan1999 This isn't the V2. The V2 has 3 buttons/levers to adjust it instead of the single paddle, and has an all metal bottom and legs. There is no plastic on the bottom or legs of the V2.
I noticed you also had a review for the Embody as well. I'm trying to decide between this Ergohuman and the Embody... I feel like I would like the head rest on the Ergohuman because I often sit back when on my computer. Which do you prefer?
Has anyone had this chair over a year or so how’s it holding up? Would you consider someone that has lower back pain problems buying this chair or just I just go ahead and buy the Herman Miller Aeron chair? Please help my chair is killing my back.
I've been using his for several years. No complaints. But I have a little backache today so decided to check I had everything adjusted properly. It looks like the lumbar support is lower than it needs to be for me, even though I've got it in the highest position and I'm not very tall. Do you find the lumbar support fits nicely in your lumbar area? Also, I noticed the manual says the headrest should fit in the back of the neck. I've always rested the back of my head. But I can't seem to get it far enough forward to fit in my neck area,
Great job on all the chair reviews? On the Ergohuman, how is the the lower lumbar support for you? How tall are you? If you had to pick one chair to use full time which would it be? Thanks!
The Lower Lumbar is pretty good. It rises a little higher than most, but I'm 5' 8''. I am currently using the Steelcase Leap and Herman Miller Embody for my main chairs.
Hello i've noticed this video is more than 2 year old how do u consider having using this Ergohuman chair for this time? is it good so far ? any new features?
Hi I'm tossing up between the the mesh or leather model. Just a it concerned about the leather being too hard to sit on and also too slippery. How did you find it? Any particular reason you chose leather over mesh? Thanks :)
(Just for the record for new visitors, I know this is old as hell) Mesh is also WAY dirtier - that's something to consider. I'd pick a leather base and a mesh back.
I would totally get the seat without the headrest and with the mesh version. The headrest was really uncomfortable for me so I took it out at the end. But, everyone is different and you might like it. I would suggest trying it out first. If you like your head pushed forward, you might like the headrest. The leather got really hot and uncomfortable after a couple of hours
Well, I know that there's a significant difference between the leather and mesh, in terms of feeling. The Mesh version doesn't provide that type of cushioning.
Thanks for your review, maybe you said somewhere during the video, but how much tall are you? Seems people shorted than 1,80 mt has issues with this chair. Also, after so many time, your idea about this chair is the some?
I'm having trouble deciding between the Leap, Embody and the Ergohuman. I'm from Australia, the Ergohuman can be had for $520 Australian dollar (mesh version), shipping included and comes with 10yrs warranty, the Embody almost triples that, the leap doubles that amount, lacks a retailer, and a 4 weeks waiting period so I can go pick up that chair myself. I'm 5 feet 9, do you recommend this chair? How is the build quality?
The Ergohuman is a great chair for the price. I personally like the Embody the best, followed by the Leap, then the Ergohuman. If you are 5ft9, then I would suggest going for the v2 of Ergohuman as it sits lower and won't stress your thighs.
how to i adjust the dynamic lumbar? after a few years of use the lumbar is pushed back and no longer supports my lower back.. any way to re adjust? (nmot talking about the back height adjustment, just lower lumbar part)
i have the same one. it looks like shit after use 2 years. if you post yours condition im sure its same. lift doesnt work. leather peeling. bottom slides itself often. worth 100$ max
Pictures or it didn't happen. Chair is genuine leather, not synthetic, nothing should be "peeling". If it's indeed the case, you have warranty, don't you?
@@urbantwilight I'd be willing to bet that if it is indeed peeling, he didn't use leather conditioner, which is essential to the longevity of a leather chair.
all right, I found your review after the construction. it seems you're quite satisfied. until you review a new one it seems you find better. But I still like this one more for the headrest, because I use it also to lean back when I watch movies on my home office pc. thanks far all your reviews. and wow, what a fine car you have, I love that one. even if I find that for quite less money you can have a mazda mx5 witch I find not worse at all. but yeah, of course a BMW is much more cool and fashion. but when we have nice weather here I prefer to ride my Ducati, and have a covered car for winter. I see two monitors here, you should have really a good job. what do you do, work with finance or what? I'm not from the revenue office anyway, I'm italian. a typical italian lazy guy looking for a smart beautiful rich american asian girlfriend to feed me. sorry, just stupid crazy jocking, lol... :-)
the ergohuman chair sucks, the back rest is weirdly designed so you have to totally push your back and butt to the back to get the lumbar support. it tires you pretty fast. definitely do not buy.
If you make hundreds and hundreds of thousands of $$$ by sitting in front of the computer screen as your daily grind, spending $600+ USD for a chair is not is worth talking about.
