Why not be informative and practical. Being a Yorkshireman why not show the people how to make Yorkshire puddings. Don’t say I can’t do it, it’s too hard. It’s not, it’s quick, simple anyone can make em. Get a jug, crack 3 eggs in, add the same amount in milk, 4-4 1/2 dessert spoons of plain flour some salt and whisk. Get some pudding trays. They sell em in Morrisons and B&M. Use beef dripping not oil your a Yorkshireman. Preheat Oven at 220 for 20 mins don’t open the oven door until done.
Back in Australia now but Marks and Spencer lasagne and chips were amazing, can't remember if you tasted these before, think it was part of a meal deal, totally worth the money
Nothing wrong with microwaving it half the time, it saves a fair bit of time and electricity with minimal difference. This looks decent. People turn their nose up at pollock but there's nothing wrong with it - same family as cod, more sustainable and economical to catch. It's even higher in omega-3. Tastes very similar too.
Looking at the Aldi website they have two options. The one you tried and a gastro version, 90p more but it looks sounds really nice with three different fish. Well worth a try I think. Will it be better than home made? However for the price the crestwood one looks epic. It is time for a comparison review?
Try the Sweet Chilli Skewers from Iceland with Rice & Veg.. filling, healthy other rhan a few carbs and won't disappoint. Wish we could post pics on here ❤
It doesnt do well on the traffic lights because its got Cream and Butter in it, but thats why it taste nice. re microwaving and air fring. If it works for you do it! before i had the air frier i used to oven everything because things were soggy if you cooked them in the microwave. These days i tend to air fry things for 1/2 the time it says to oven cook them.
Price for two packs for 2 peoplw bargain - today spotted morrisons v small fresh fish pie mix costing £4 then you've got to make it, salt content might be lower but know which one I'll be buying x
the pie looked tasty af mate - pity theres no aldi handy to me here in NIreland or id be all over that like a rash :) also for 2 fifty... winner, anyday of the week
Deano, you cannot always take the quick route! If you just microwave that, you will end up with slop! Always oven bake anything that has a potato or crumb topping; especially this as it has both. You microwave it first to cook the fish then give it a quick blast under the grill but that is a bit of a faff. Despite your strange way of cooking it, it did look decent, so fair play to you Mr Deano. 👍 There is no way I would laugh at you Deano but you seriously scolded your mouth at 08:25! Let the food rest and cool a bit after cooking. I know from all your videos, you are a genius at editing, so taking out the gaps and delays should not be an issue for you. £2.49 is actually not much cheaper than the main manufacturers like Bird's Eye or Youngs. I am surprised as I thought Aldi (and Lidl) were low budget places.
it is only 80g of fish vs 184g of potato. £2.49 is more than buying a 400g of basa fish or even a bag of mix fish from Morrisons. if you get the fish in the bags as you said in the video you can take that as base and add some potato to the top of it.
Deano be more patient when you review, tasting the food to hot does not allow you to taste the food let it cool down a bit it's not a race, also those fish in a bag you can put the fish in a dish and then top with Knorr potato mash and cheese and make a good fisherman's pie. Yuka score for this dish 69/100 good.
Any other recommendations let me know (doesn't have to be new) 😁

One of my childhood favourites was similar to what you had the other day. Cheese on toast with Heinz tinned ravioli on top.
Just try the basic frozen one Deano about £1.20 just as good.

Yes you can, as a chef there are no rules in cooking as long the food is 75+ quality would probably be better the way you cook it 😜
cant beat a charlie bingham fish pie expensive but well worth it
Do lots of food in MICRO THEN put under GRILL for a few mins to crisp off
I've never seen the catch method on a package!
i have had 1 of these and enjoyed it alot

Friendly tip. Let the food cool for a few moments and then show us ! Looks scrumptious.

Microwave then air fry jacket potatoes, oil them up between the micro and frier and they come out a treat.
Pollack one step up from basa
You gastronomic renegade 😂
Actually quite a clever way of reducing energy costs 🤘 some of these foods benefit greatly from a roasted top.
Get yourself a collab going on 😅
Who would of thought WE ARE EATING ALASKAN POLACK
Is there anything wrong with eating pollock though?
Pollock is crap! Love the videos though Deano!
It tastes quite strong to me but it's not so bad in a pie with other types of fish 🐟
More Pollock is sold in the EU than cod we are the only fish snobs in Europe and eat the least.
@@grahamjohnson4702 Call me a snob, but you can't compare cod or haddock to pollock!
@@1982maxgill SNOB
POLACK is just okay in fish PIES if you like some tomatoes sauce .
Shame there was no prawns in it ! 🤷♂️
By the look of your t shirt the girls are home
Not yet.
Looked like 🤢 but for £2.49 i wouldn't expect less
Total rip off!320 grams of gloopy mush and 80 grams of Pollock which is less than 3 ounces of fish .
He's back fishing again
