One of the simple speed parts from the early days of hot rodding was to have a pressurized fuel tank with a small hand pump. When the driver wanted to go fast they would pump the the air pressure in the fuel tank before making a “speed” run. With proper tuning and fuel pressure you should easily be able to cut your 0-60 times to ~ 30 seconds.
Very respectable. The high comp head, twin ignition & modern gearbox are really helping. A stock Zenith could have given more fuel for this. I once took my Fordor up to about 55 which was way more fast than she wanted to go. Cheers.
When I used to play with VW's you could get a simple little electric (12V) fuel pump that could mount just about anywhere safe. It has a fuel line inlet on one side and outlet on the other. Perfect for when someone would change the factory fuel injection to carbs. Provides 3.5 psi and I used it with 2 2 bbl Webers and always had fuel pressure. You can use a 6-12V inverter if you are running 6 volts.
@@ModelAForAday I actually own a hot rod / carburetor shop and it sounds like a lean misfire because of the header and probably needs a small fuel pump as mentioned. No matter..........keep these old cars running
@@ModelAForAdayThe song is just fine. Switch it to the outro instead and make the intro sound the car starting up or do a Car-Toon like Max and Dave Fleischer.

I agree! Since that video I installed a fuel pump and need to do some more tuning. Thanks for the comment

It was a fun video to make. Thank you for commenting.
I got my Model A up to 60 miles an hour and 20 seconds on the back of a tow truck.
That one way to do it lol!

Excellent suggestion! I did end up installing a low pressure fuel pump in another video. Thanks for watching
Thank goodness for the 5spd trans. If double-clutching the stock non-synchro 3spd., you may have run out of road before hitting sixty.
Thank you for checking out the video!
That's a beautiful car!
Thanks!
Okay, thanks for the education on Suzie.
Thanks for watching!
a model a Ford with a down draft carburetor needs a fuel pump
Agreed!
I have a '29 Tudor. It may reach 60 downhill with a tailwind. It's stock but runs like Henry designed it to do.
Tudors are my fav! Thanks for commenting
So basically a little faster than a new Chevy. Gotcha.
I would say just barley lol
Oh wow!!
Pretty dang cool
What kind of cylinder head is that? Distributor? Carburetor?
The cylinder head is unknown, still trying to figure that out. Dist is out of a early 80s Datsun, and the carb is a Holley 94
I work on quite a few of these and 0 to 60.......that's a maybe on some days
Susie might be a bit of a hot rod lol. Thanks for commenting

Agreed! Good advice
I am surprised it does 60.
I was too lol!
Top speed in mine was probably 45 with the stock 3 speed. Plus I was afraid to go any faster.
Yes! It was a bit scary. I don’t recommend it lol.
Why do people name their cars?
Hmmmmm, good question. People often name their cars as a way to personalize and form a connection with their vehicle.
was great aside from that stupid song
I will probably shorten up the intro song. Thanks for watching though!

I like that idea! Thank you for the suggestion
Awesome 👍
