I can't tell you just how happy it makes me to see so many drivers and fans alike the world over that love the gem in my own backyard. We try to be good hosts in Wisconsin, and we have a huge motorsports history of all sorts. Road America, Milwaukee Mile, Slinger Speedway, Madison International, Eagle River snowmobiles, Crandon off road races, and a ridiculous amount of both asphalt and dirt short tracks all over the state, and in the past couple decades, that has really shown in Nascar as there are a lot of drivers from here like Kenseth, and few sent here to learn like Mark Martin. Unfortunately, despite over 100k fans last year and I think 80+k this year, Nascar is still pulling the Cup race, even though we pull more fans than some of the other tracks on the calendar. I'm glad we have so many series here. I'm glad we DON'T have Formula 1 here, because this track is known for its unprecedented access to everything. And by in large, we are often mocked for being too nice here. I'm good with that. Come for the weekend. The food is great, the people are great. The scenery is God's country with a race track, and you can bring the whole family and have plenty of breathing room and plenty to do. Sorry for the book, but I'm extremely appreciative of everyone that makes this track and this state great, including the drivers and fans from everywhere. As a life long Wisconsinite, thank you. All of you. It's an honor to have something so special, so accessible and close to home. ❤🏎🏍
One of my absolute favorite tracks, and always nice to see a GT-class car on it. Meeting Oliver was the cherry on top of it all. Here's to hoping for a good day of racing ☝☀🏁
My wife and I are Canadian but SCCA MARSHALL we have worked a fare number of IMSA RACES, this track is on our list of races we have not been to YET. Looks awesome here. We are working on fixing this situation to be here for a race......and yes I will be requesting to work Canadian corner.........Cheers thank for the race lap.......
I love IMSA! I love IMSA! To all employees of NBC and USA Network, can we, the audience, please, have the info graphics, of the Cooper Mcneil's lap around one of the greatest race tracks in the world? Do it when you air the race on Sunday afternoon!
Dude, in know the track...most excellent course. Love you took your dog with you man...it's a very cool temp. day or does this Merc. have A/C.? Curious lmk...
So, if this track layout is not great, the venue isn't great, doesn't have charm or a good atmosphere, what track does? Because this track is top of the charts in all of those categories you just listed. Drivers from all different series (cars. open wheels, bikes) praise this place and for some, is their favorite track to race. You can do so much more here than at any other venue. What other track can spectators roam around the entire venue and watch from nearly every angle on a 4-mile track? Every corner you can watch from inside or outside of the turn. Along the entire front and middle straights, you can also spectate from. Some spots you can get a few feet from the track and be right up on the action. The venue has everything and then some to offer. I camp at the track for IndyCar and IMSA every year from Thursday thru Sunday afternoon, and it is the highlight of my year each and every year. Best track food in the country by far and some of the best and nicest people I've met are while camping at Road America. The layout has been the same since 1955 and some people have been coming to the track for 40-50 years. Absolutely there is charm to this place and the atmosphere is amazing if you've ever been to the track. Just the buzz you can feel walking or driving around from the crowd on race day can give you goosebumps. Counting every minute until the green flag waves. Walking thru the paddock/garages and watching the teams work on the cars up close is a sight to see. Seeing and meeting drivers scooting thru the paddock is cool to. I've met Michael and Mario Andretti back in the Champ Car days, Juan Pablo Montoya recently along with Chip Ganassi, Colton & Bryan Herta, Markus Eriksson, Jimmy Johnson, Felipe Nasr, Jordan & Ricky Taylor. Just a few off the top of my head. This track holds a special place in my heart for all of these reasons I listed, and I question how you came to the conclusion of this track is no good, no charm and no atmosphere. I would highly suggest you attend a race at RA and experience it first-hand. Your mind will be changed the first day you are there, Guaranteed.
Ok, now it’s only fair. WE NEED TO SEE OLIVER’S LAP TIME. 😜
Road America is a great design. Very flowy.

Drivers love racing in the rain!
Odd that the solution to understeer seems to be..... more steering angle?? :/
Love Cooper
Poochie nose smudges all over the windows!

Leh Keen Road America in car laps videos are better.
👍
Please tell me you didn't actually film this lap with a dog in the car
Are you blind? Just watch the video ffs.
Genuinely hope you didn’t do that without securing him?
Big daddy coop, fastest driver in the field
Good thing his daddy owns weather tech, I doubt he have a ride otherwise.
Not a great track or racing venue. No charm, very sparse atmosphere.
Ha! just one of the best tracks in the world. You must be someone who enjoys the bland flat F1 style tracks
