  • So, I'm ill, not a lot really to talk about. So I thought, let's have a little look at Laurens Sweeck. The big man has hit some rather unprecedented form and looks to have little intention of slowing down over the coming weeks.

Sweeck has always been one of my favorite riders bc I always knew he had huge potential. Little glimpses of excellence…matured and mentally there has paved the road for huge future success. Love it. We have a new Belgian super star.

Going to a team where he is the main man, and valued probably helps, especially with confidence. And it's good to see.

He's won me over... glad he changed teams or it could of been a bit of a snore with the exception of Lars who's always up there.. when I saw the bingoal boys trying to work him over I was rooting for him to beat them.. He beat them mentally as well as physically.. hope he continues the form

Iserbyt always seems to start the season on top form, no doubt due to his virtually singular focus on cyclocross... But, it seems that as it gets colder, wetter and harder, he fades... Whereas the more sturdy riders like Sweeck seem to continue to develop their form throughout the season. I've got to admit that I'm enjoying seeing his success this year!

Pretty sure the front of the race will be closer. I think the full time crossers have put more thought into their seasons and their training - TP is coming off a bit of a mixed summer and same for MVDP. WVA went well but it will be how soon he gets that cross feel back. It’s going to be interesting at least!
