Your doing such a great job and all by yourself. Would of liked to see more wide shots. What did you paint the underbody with? Did you sand it lightly back by hand and more for rusty spots. Or the painted on treatment deal with rust.bvheers great stuff.

All the black paint is POR -15. Underbody was degreased and scuffed for paint. This car only had small patches of surface rust from sitting for so long. Some spots I used a rust remover and then painted.

Hello, what size bolt did you use to fasten the shock to the lower mounting point, also did you use a lock nut or washer and lock washer to secure?

The bolts were factory, most likely a M10 X 1.25. Used a nylock nut to hold them. Washers are good to use.

Shouldn't the suspension be under load before you crank down on the upper shock absorber bolt?

I had to jack up the suspension to get the shock in the tower, and my fat ass hanging in the trunk was all the load I could get on it.

Do you have a video on replacing front driver shock. I cant seem to figure it out.

I don't have one specific to front shock removal. The shock tops are inside engine bay inner fender. The bottom bolts are bottom side lower A arm. Shocks drop though the hole in the A arm. See links below for the front suspension videos.

Where did you purchased your bolts for the rear end?

All the bolts where original. I just cleaned and painted them, POR 15, then Krylon chrome.
