  • This short shows a spark gap transmitter circuit that once revolutionized worldwide communication in the early 20th century. These type of transmitters were used all around the world, for instance on board of the Titanic, to send wireless messages around the globe. It is a great example of a damped harmonic oscillator and can be built using just a handful of electronic components, such as a resistor, a capacitor and an inductor for the LC resonant circuit.

    The gap is too large make it smaller and it will sound more like a beep instead of a buzz
