Nothing like sinning a road movie during winter, am I right? I originally didn't want to sin the Long Haul, but I went with it anyway. In the process of studying for finals, I wanted to pick a movie to sin after the end of finals. I ended up picking this film due to time constraints. The video took me 6 days to work on (writing, recording, and editing), and I finished this on Christmas Eve. See you all next time.
You should have sinned that fact that the corkys image (the one at the entrance) is Greg’s design in the books, does Greg not question why the restaurant logo looks just like his drawing stule
Missed sin: When Susan reports a missing citizens case to the police, and then changes it to a double murder, somehow she has no repercussions for falsely reporting a crime, which is what the police would think she’s doing
Missed sin: In Dog Days (The Third Film), Susan tells Frank that "a person cannot take something that someone else loves", yet she does so in the film.
Usually when CinemaSins does one of those “Oh, how fucking convenient!” sins, it makes absolutely no sense since every movie basically rides off of conveniences or else there wouldn’t be a movie then. 5:50 though, actually makes sense… We don’t need a pig to make this movie worse.

Why wasn't there about 50+ extra sins for this movies existence? In the original 3, Rodrick was not super dumb and he was funny, in this he is a stupid idiot with no intelligence, not to mention that this cast is horrible. Why did they try mixing like 5 DOAWK books?? 75% of the movie didn't happen in ANY of the books. 0/10. Edit: I just remembered, as of right now (15 books) Greg has NEVER had a phone. The last 12 YEARS, the last 15 books he has not had a phone!
If i gotta be honest, I know many of you couldn't stand Rodrick's character in this film, but for me the character I couldn't stand is Susan; compared to the other films Susan in this film became more annoying and conceited
Idk why corny's is a sin cause it is in the book. And why couldn't they keep the mom, dad, and Rodrick? They're barely changed. Not that the new cast is bad, its just that it could have been better and only Rowley, Greg and Manny needed replacement and Manny isn't really much different cause he only says like 1 or 2 sentences.
This movie sucks, through and through. I finally have a chance to rip this movie a new asshole and I’m not pulling any punches. First of all is the timing, what I mean by that is when this movie was made, it should of been made in 2013 when the original cast was still young. Re write the script a lot better and this movie would actually be good. That is a minor nit pick compared to the rest of the movie itself. I’ve never read The Long Haul myself so I might be talking out of my ass here. Rowley was literally on screen for the first 10 minutes of the movie and was never brought up again, not once. I know the whole point of the movie was to go see their grandma and all, but the whole “meeting a UA-camr at comic con” subplot goes nowhere. It’s literally mentioned once and that’s when there in Indianapolis itself. Not to mention the numerous continuity errors in this movie too. So there destination is in Indianapolis and they have to stay on the road 47 hours. There is no one city you can drive to Indianapolis from that takes you 47 hours. The most I’ve found was Indianapolis to Seattle and that’s 35 hours. When they are at the motel, how does Greg mistake the other families room for his own? Aren’t the rooms numbered? Another thing, probably the most stupid one of them all. How does a radiator go bad in a Toyota Sienna? You don’t run over a few hay bales and boom, the radiator is gone. Either no one knows what coolant is in this family or I’m just stupid. The recasting is probably the most fiercely despised aspect of this movie and for good reason. The recasting could of worked, but it’s the actions, characterizations and dialogue of the characters that makes it bad. Roderick had devolved from a mean but caring older brother into a stupid dumbass with no curtesy towards anyone, basically the opposite of what he was in the older movies. The parents have no funny or memorable dialogue from which they had in the older movies besides constantly fucking telling their kids that they are misbehaving little brats. This movie could of been one of the greatest but a combination of timing and horrible writing made this movie suck.
I honestly loved this movie, so... For people who didn't see the other movies, this is a fine one to start with. It's not like they're as chronological as the MCU

Yall keep complaining about the cast like as if u don't know that they are too old for long haul and i admit maybe they should done better casting in the long haul like srysly Rodrick looked kinda weird
