I think this is the only person that actually knows what happened in the fight he’s right on every detail of the fight. Awesome commentator he should do both jobs.
I remember hearing Robert McCracken telling Joshua to jab jab right hand, and Joshua didn't land a jab just loosely chucked out his left hand.. Something was wrong with Joshua in that fight..
Everything! He didnt look right at all! He needs to get back to his destructive early days! I think he needs to drop back to about 230lbs max, will have better speed , I also think he has a back injury!
@@kirbi888 Nothing boxing wise. Something wasn't right though. AJ wasn't 100% himself, hopefully the rematch we'll see him in his prime condition meaning a first or second round knockout.
I have always been a critic of Kevvy..but he made me eat my words listening to his summation of Andy Ruiz's win and style, excellent expert observations and succinct opinion.
I believe his , and Whyte , Chisora , Allens opinion that something was off with AJ is correct They would have a feel for it better than us I also think AJ and Eddie are just not going to address what that was .. But I do wonder Why ?
Firstly joshua is a champion and has a champions mind so he is never going to blame anything. That being said i believe the story that leaked of the concussed in sparring/panic attack. There is that much money involved that things like this would slip through due to pressure. A number of pros/trainers all said he looked and fought like someone who had been concussed.i know panic attack symptoms when i see them as i have had them 10years. And the thing with panic attacks are nobody talks about them- especially in sport so how that came about unless its true spesks volumes. Ajs dad going off at hearn in the ring after and aj saying no no its me i'm the fighter i wanted to fight sums it up.
Ro Fall do me a favour yeah, since u say all the "evidence" is all over the internet, go to AJs YT channel and watch his vid on addressing these stupid rumours, his said it him self buddy the better man won.
@Ro Fall there is no evidence he took a sustained beating by a hungry more experienced fighter.its possible the nerves got to him especially his first big fight in USA but please stop talking nonsense it's clear from the wk and povetkin fight that aj is very vulnerable the difference being ruiz was young enough to finish the job.aj is beast with great power but he is actually inexperienced compared to ruiz who has a far superior amateur pedigree
You know, if AJ did indeed get a concussion in sparring, I see why his dad went off on Hearn. At the end of the 6th AJ asked Rob why he felt the way that he did. That is a straight up red flag. He needs to take a year off and let his brain heal up. If he takes this rematch right away that could be real bad news for his health. We know how vulnerable AJ is to punches. Some fighters can take big shots for years and be just fine, and some have just one bad fight and become a vegetable.
People need to stop making excuses, That was a solid left to the temple in the 3rd and Joshua didnt recover. Of course he wasnt in the best mental shape no doubt. But that shot is what did it period.
The best analysis of the fight I have heard. Also, probably the most qualified to do so amongst all the others. Joshua pretty much confirmed Barry's when he admitted that his loss was entirely his fault. This makes me believe that he already knew what went wrong. Which also means, to me at least, that Andy isnt gonna have an easy a night as in their first meeting. I still believe that Joshua at his best will defeat Andy. Having said that, huge credit to Andy for his skils and his heart.
Yup, And Parker did exactly what Joshua didn't do against Ruiz and fight from the outside. Joshua underestimated the situation after he knock Ruiz down and didn't follow the game plan.
Tall guys find it hard to land jabs on Ruiz, his high guard, head movement and parrying make him a difficult target. Of course Joshua should have jabbed him, but Ruiz has skills at deflecting the jab, that's the problem. Bring on the rematch, heavy weight boxing is coming alive again.
Observant, logical, clear and concise with his words. Takes nothing for granted in any fight. I like Barry. He and Joe are too nice for boxing. They sound like tennis players. But then that is actually a very good thing. I'll be looking out for his analysis on more fights from now on. 👍👌
tactically and technically, Kevin is light years ahead of McCracken, if I was Joshua, I would leave no stone unturned in trying to get Kev as his trainer
Great analysis of the fight, this is one intelligent, honest dude. I suspect that Joshua was not right on the night but he and his camp thought that if they could get it over with quick it wouldn't matter. Hence he rushed into finishing it in the third but found himself in a pit of trouble. Because he wasn't right on the night he couldn't fight his way out of the pit.
I thought Joshua beats Ruiz based on watching Ruiz against Dimitrenko. Good to hear Barry talk about that. Unfortunately Joshua rushed in in round 3, but it has worked for him in the past, now he knows different. Kudos to Ruiz, he,'s got a fighters grit for sure. Tough guy.
I was one of them, because he hasn't been able to take Parker to the jab, jab, BANG! with the right hand mentality, and that's 2 stiff jabs to the face I'm meaning, or even follow those jabs with a right cross then left hook, a 4 punch combo which in my opinion is pleeenty f*&^%$n hurt...just saying.
I said straight after the brazeel fight this would change Joshua's mind set if he was close to finishing Ruiz . Under pressure to look good and for all of led to a great fight. He got careless and Andy finished him well
