Completey unrelated, but I must say, Nigels cameras are really good, especially the close-ups look so smooth and professionel. Same goes for the audio. Equipment is important.

I don’t think “I’m fat and I’m on TV” lacked empathy. There was no “what’s wrong with you” dig there. It’s totally encouraging, and you’re a great example of a person who respects herself and does what she wants to do, regardless of body type. Honestly, we hold ourselves back so much because of projected fears of what others will think of us.
Evelyn is a gorgeous woman. Period. So smart and charismatic as well. :)

I'm with Nigel on the staying alone part! Growing up, me and my younger sisters shared a small room, then at one point in uni, I had to live in a 30-person dorm (imagine the drama). Then I moved out, had 10 housemates and that was even worse. Once after a semester holiday, I came back to an empty house with maggots crawling around -- in the kitchen, in the living hall, even in rooms!
So when I got my own place I was like heeyyllll no housemates, thank you. I LOVED STAYING ALONE. I am now married and tbh sometimes I do miss the good ol' days :)

Nigel's wine glasses story reminds me of my picnic from last week.
I went there, well dressed. And I brought 2 pretty glasses for my blue wine, and a nice glass bowl to put in the blue berries. But everyone else was super casual and sporty. Girls are not wearing makeups. We didn't even have a proper piece of cloth. Instead, we had some one-time plastic picnic pieces which will stick to your skin when you try to stand up...
Everything is fine, but it's just not the picnic I picture in mind🤣And the fact that I put so much effort into it made me look like a weirdo...

Nigel gets so few messages ( aka complaints ) because he doesn't acknowledge them. Evelyn does because she acknowledges their complaints. Acknowledgement for their complaints is what they want - Validation, in other words. There are better ways to get validation than that. It's like rewarding a child every time they throw a tantrum.

Regarding the wine glass discussion, I think both of you are right. If you are drinking an inexpensive wine where you are not focussing your attention on the nuances of the experience, but rather romance and being with someone special and neither are wine devotees, at least at that moment, plastic or a generic glass will do. If you are drinking a wine on which you are going to be focussing your attention, like an Amarone (one of my favorites, too), then the proper glassware is essential as it permits the wine to express itself fully.
