There’s that distinct twin cyl odd fire Saito sound. Congrats on getting her running properly I love the sound these engines make with just exhaust headers.
Thank you very much for your comments ! I'm really feel happy after all mess with cleaning, adjustment and mounting, dismounting, assembling and lot else. But I like to do so, this makes a big sense to me - to make things better ☺ Thank you and have a nice day !
Congratulations..im glad you found the magic touch to tune this brilliant engine..i shall be taking to the air tomorrow with my fa90t .. And new to my collection a brand new fg60r3 updated version.... Will wait to see your next video..
Thank you very much for your kind comments ! Really, much appreciated ! Wishing you a great flight with FA 90T and a soft landing ! What is interesting, that I've plans to work with Saito FG60R3, there is a few ideas about experiments I want to provide. Congratulation with a new gem in your collection ! Saito FG60R3 is an excellent engine, but it needs some precautions: mount should be very sturdy, due to increased vibration level. As far as I understand, this engine is deigned to produce max power, so the timings are oriented for max power at top RPM, so at low idle engine (mine, at least), shows increased vibration levels. Thank you and have a nice day !
@@crazyengines88 your welcome..and i appreciate your words of help.. It will be great to see what mods you have planned..i will keep mine in the box for now..
@@danielhitchens4407 Thank you very much ! Hoping that weather will be better tomorrow, so I can jump all over the engine mount. Every time it need more time, than you're planning and to predict, what could happens, practically impossible. So, stay tuned ! 🙂
Thank you, I like it too much. It may seem surprising, but this sound relaxes and calms me. I can listen to it for hours, it's a pity that the fuel is expensive to listen to it for so long.
@@crazyengines88 Small engines don't burn too much fuel. A friend gave me 5 gallons of methanol to mix my own FAI fuel. The oil is still expensive. My Saito 1.80 with spark ignition runs good on it.
Your high speed assembly portion is fun to watch and makes it look so simple and easy. I used to own a Saito 100T. I found it to be an exceptional engine. (as most Saitos are) I didn't keep it for long though because I just never could find the perfect model for it. Thank you an enjoyable series on this fine engine. Here is where my 100T went. ua-cam.com/video/zDmqlx3AXxo/v-deo.html
Thank you very much for your comments ! It's really important for me, at least, as a feedback of my work. Definitely, most of Saito's are excellent and beautiful engines, I love them so much. But nothing could be extremely perfect, and this FA 100T isn't so perfect for me. I don't like few things in its design, first of all, its single throw crankshaft and its firing sequence, which is follows from single throw design. First cylinder firing, than turns on 180 degrees, second cylinder fires, than turn on 540 degrees (1,5 turn), etc. Such big pulses, I think, and it could be directly connected to engine's reliability, especially in the air, where you're remotely. So, I'm still thinking about this engines. I've some plans to run soon similar design Saito FA 182TD, which is more late version, and it is still in production, probably, less problematic engine and more successful on the market. Thank you for video link provided ! Have a nice day !
@@crazyengines88 that 182td will be great to see this video!! So the uneven fire twin same fa182td..as the fa80t onwards basically..but the dual plugs and even the remodelled carburettor will add smoother running and reliability.. But in saying that..my well used fa90t is a favourite little engine..it will pull a 4.5kg cub through the field at good pace..and once those carbs are tuned well enough it is very reliable..and i just love its odd fire design..its not built for power in mind..but good scale realism.. ..cause i like gas engines..i want one of the fg41ts boxer engines..it would also be awesome if you got one of those to video along side the fa182td..even though there different fuel and ignition type the are also different crank throw..but close in cc,s
@@danielhitchens4407 Thank you a lot for info ! I was never think about FG41TS or similar, probably, due to some prejudice and caution about gasoline running model engines. I've some experience with FG60R3 engine, and I should say, that vibration level was unacceptable. I even can't imagine, how sturdy, heavy and hard should be an engine firewall. That was the reason, why I experimented with glow gas ignition, With glow ignition (on OS G5 glow plugs) vibration level becomes more acceptable. Aggressive timings on FG60R3, I think, is a key reason for such behavior. Ok, we'll see soon, I hope. 🙂 Have a nice day !

Bravo! You made the engine healthy. 👍👍
