Hi Amy, try using a plastic straw to make the holes in clay. Put it in the clay and slowly turn the straw it will cut the hole out and most times the clay stays up in the straw, leaving a clean hole in the clay to put hangers in etc.
Hi Amy! Loved your diys! So clever to use that egg tray and revamp it. You would never know what is under those craft sticks! The flower sign is adorable. I would like to find some larger flower dies now that I know it works on felt! You and the decoupage are a perfect match! Love how you kept going to achieve the look you wanted. I think adding water was maybe the problem? I used torch pasted on a Crafterday, and we had an industrial heat gun. God bless you for your patience using your embossing heat tool. We made stencils and put it on cutting boards. They turned out pretty neat. Can't wait for your next video!! Thank you, Amy.
Cute farmhouse projects! The bird sign with the napkin turned out beautifully! But I think my favorite is the flowers sign. Those stamps are very nice. I have wanted to try the scorch paste and I think your first try turned out nicely. I am trying to use what I have on hand...which is a lot, it's embarrassing! 😉😁😃 Thank you Amy! And about the crackle effect, use Elmers glue and put a thick coat for bigger cracks and thin coat for smaller ones. I think the main issue was that the glue was a little watered down and thin. When you do the top coat try to go over an area one time with the top coat. If you use too many strokes it will affect the outcome, too. I am not sure if you let the glue dry before painting on the top coat or not.
Thank you for the tips Denise, I truly appreciate it! I’m hoping for success next time! I’m trying to keep in mind that April showers bring May flowers. This weather is not fun, oh well! Hugs to you ❤️
Hi Amy beautiful projects! An idea for the word to put on your bird sign. “Bleu”; French for blue. 😆Just a suggestion when you are trying to get the crackle effect it won’t work when mixed down with water and also you can’t brush over it more than once or twice. You want to paint it on thick and don’t go back over it. On the torch paste it needs to be brushed on a bit thicker, and yes you definitely need a heat gun. 😊 Hope that helps. I just started following you. I love your stamping projects you do! ❤
Hey Amy, Love the projects. Totally in love with the birds' napkin how that came out so good. The flower sign was perfect for spring. I have also been wanting to try the torch paste. I think it came out really well. I have watched a few too doing it and I think you are right you have to have a high-heat gun. Thanks for all the inspiration. Hope you and your family have gotten settled into your new home and had a happy Easter.
Hello Dena, just getting back to my comments, sorry it took me a while! We are packing and getting our house ready for sale, we are moving a couple hours away from my current town to Farmington MN. My daughter and her family live there and I’m missing out on too much. During this transition, I won’t have any Craft videos but I plan on doing other types of videos of places we will see on our vacation. Thank you for watching and checking in, it means a lot ❤️ Take care my friend and we’ll talk again soon! Hugs!
I love your videos. I love making crafts but I'm not always great at actually getting them done. You give great instructions and really cute but simple ideas. Thank you ❤ P. S. If you could do any boho inspired decor/crafts, that would be awesome 😊
Hello Holly! Thank you for the kind words, it’s nice messages like yours that keeps me motivated! I will definitely do a boho video, your wish is my command! Currently, we are living in our camper because we moving closer to family in the twin cities (MN) and don’t have a house yet. Crafting is difficult and trust me, I miss doing videos! Things are happening however and I’ll be back in my craft room pretty soon. Thanks again and we’ll chat again soon, have a great weekend! Amy ❤️
Great projects. You crackle project did you happen to water down the glue. It looked pretty thin. And another hint do try not to keep moving the glue with your brush. Try one long line then go to the next then same with layering the top paste on. With a true crackle medium you want the base coat let that dry layer the crackle let that dry then top coat. Using as little brush strokes as possible on the medium and top coat. I had a happy accident last month. I thought I was putting mod podge down and it happened to be wood glue. It dried then I put paint on it and I cracked so wood glue works also lol. Hoped that helped and hope I made some sense lol. Have a great day 😀 PS if you have a Harbor Freight near you, you can get a stronger heat gun for $10 on sale which is often and I also purchased the attachments for $6 to use the one novel that gives a more direct shot of heat.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for the information! I didn’t know I was supposed to let the glue dry and yes, it was watered down. I love that I can get a nice heat gun at Harbor freight, I like their prices a lot better than what Amazon sells them for! Thank you kindly, Jennifer! ❤️😊
Hi Amy? New subbie here. I did enjoy watching your video. Lots of great creations. If I had to pick a favorite I would prbly pick the napkin deco podge ❤😊
Number one you put water in your glue and that's what deactivated the glue to work number to you should have waited till the paint dried some before you put the top coat on the glue can dry completely and then you can go back and put your pain on and it will Crackle
when you put the top coat of paint on , do no go over the area again . Add only one layer of paint on top, little bit at a time. Look on UA-cam for tutorails.

Excellent tip! I love it! Thank you ❤️
I like all the projects today. My favorite is the bird picture. It turned out so pretty. No need to add anything to it.

I love that idea! Thank you!
I worked in Austin for a year and a half on assignment and everyone hated me on snow days. I was the only excited one. I’m from the south btw!

Pretty❤
Thank you!
I would suggest you get a spatula type tool to scoop up the clay rather than rolling up your clay after you have shaped it.
Thank you for the tip!
Where did you get your bird napkins, if you don't mind my asking? TFS Nice crafts!
I bought them from an Etsy store. Mine are guest towel size. Here is a link: www.etsy.com/listing/1199289646/

Here is an Etsy link. I used the Guest towel size, the cocktail napkin will be smaller. Thank you for watching!

I'm loving your creations but trying to help you out. Why not go ahead and just glue down the cardboard with sticks right onto your wood egg circle?
I was afraid it would peel up later 😊
Why not use a wooden round?
@@sarahrenfrow9795 I wanted to use what I had on hand. 😊
