For those who are shopping these against the 1723S towers I have tried both and let me tell you I could not tell the difference. These are big monitors and they play like towers. I mean exactly like towers. I ended up keeping the towers and returning the monitors because we couldn’t find stands my wife was happy with.
Got them in matte white for our main living room and after a year of use they still look brand new.
Highly recommend.
I think you’re on point. I also started with these as a left and right and upgraded to the towers and there was very little difference except I didn’t like the look of the monitors on stands. However, they do make this known. The crossover on the bottom two woofers is super low so if using a crossover then they are basically the monitors in a bigger box. Only actual reason for the towers is if you wanna let them run full range, but I’m still happy bc the towers look awesome.
Towers will play louder through,
@@andreasmoller9798 - I cranked them both and I just didn’t notice a difference even well past comfortable listening levels (105db+). These monitors are absolutely massive and really do hit like towers.
You're right in keeping the towers. The monitors on stands will be scary. With how heavy the monitors are I can just imagine what happens when someone bumps into the stands.
I own the 1723 Monitors with the 1723 2S subwoofer. These things are fantastic. Definitely my end game speakers
Thank you for the thoughtful and well-presented review. I purchased these with the 1723S center a couple of months ago and have had a similar experience - the soundstage, detail, and dynamics have blown me away
Beautifully shot video and nice review of a great speaker. Congrats.
You’re too kind, my friend.
Their 1723 subwoofers are beautiful monsters as well. The 2S, paired with these monitors, is a great combo for a musical and incredibly powerful set-up.
Nice review, Randy. I picked up a pair of these in White Gloss 2 months ago and have really been enjoying them for 2.1 channel music listening. One of my favorite things about Arendal is the 60 day in home trial period along with the 10 year warranty, those type of terms I think helps buyers have less trepidation when making purchases.
I added their 1700 center channel to a pair of LSA -20 towers. The way the center reinforced the bass was impressive.
Yup - I LOVE my 1723 THX Towers. As a 2 channel system on Rotel power amps, they are very enjoyable leaving nothing to desire. The balance and articulation is superb.
Great review. When you see the other reviews and measurements they are extremely linear with low distortion and compression. Hard to go wrong with these.
Thanks for the well rounded review. Above my $$, but operational.
How do these compare to another large bookshelf speaker...the Linton?
Great Review Randy!!! Thank you for sharing the Arendal's with us. 👍👍👍
I just bought the center speaker to replace my klipsch c52 center i notice you plug you wires to the 4ohm side should i do the same ? I have a class D amp
.thks..great video
Cool to see you get genuining excited about a speaker. You’ve listened to so many speakers by now, maybe it’s hard to find something 10/10 that’s truly cheap now. Nothing wrong with that.
me getting used to rare items wont end well
$2k is cheap now? Cool
Hey randy rocking out to my Desktop rig, Sony SSCS5 Fosi Audio BT10a and Aiyima dac / headphone amplifier. Killing it. Thanks for your reviews
Prey, that's a killer movie... loved it.
There's that scene in Ruthless People where Judge Reinhold takes a young guy into the big-speaker room and hits a button and these huge, monstrously ugly things pivot out of the wall and Reinhold yells, "CAN'T AFFORD IT?!? F_CKING FINANCE IT!!!"
Every time an influencer starts to say nice things about these speakers, I'm reminded of that scene.
Not everything is about you? Maybe some people can afford it and this is aimed at those people. They’re not even 2 grand, come on dude. You know how many people splash 2 grand on features for their car? There are people out there who fucking clearly have the means but either don’t have any kind of education in audio or just find reviews interesting. I’d rather CheapAudioMan peddle this to those people than Chinese junk amps that clip & distort well short of their stated output wattage.
@@ChrisStoneinator You didn't get the reference but I'm more concerned that a person who probably applauded the extinction of editorial gatekeepers in favor of vanity-published content like this, would then turn around and appoint himself the arbiter of which editorially un-vetted public responses are "all about you." Bit of a contradiction there, n'est-ce pas?
@@CinemaDemocratica I did get the reference. The Dominators exist to rip off people who are in a lower income situation, want to splash cash they don’t have and don’t know any better. I doubt these have a 5x markup.
I didn’t applaud the death of proper publications and dealers, in fact I think these channels have a lot to do with the death of really good information in HiFi in exchange for making the viewer “feel” like they’ve got it all figured out. I don’t really like CheapAudioMan because most cheap audio is Chinese junk or Schiit and he hypes it up. Which is why I find “this shouldn’t be that expensive” entirely the wrong criticism to level against this channel. I’d much rather he hype up products like this if that’s his thing.
Excellent video...what were you using for your rear speakers?
Nice clear sound. But i just got a speaker to use with my Cell phone at work,& it is so good I often use it alone with my Cell phone & Blueray DVD player in my Bedroom. For $400 I got a on sale Powered 15" Mackie Thump 215 with a 1" Titanium Horn driver. The Thump is real & gets the Job done in the way I like it. Go 15" or go Homy.
My mains are the Arendal 1723THX floor standing speakers, in satin black, on an Emotiva XPA-TWO...and I'm DONE! This is my endgame. Other speakers & amps might as well not exist to me. That's for the best, too, because I can't afford to "out-do" this.
Preamp: Schiit Audio Freya+ w/ LISST quad
Source 1: Eversolo DMP A6 Master Edition w/ Pioneer USB disc drive, 2TB Samsung 990 internal SSD & on-board linear PSU upgrade from Beatechnik
Source 2: Fluance RT85 w/ Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge/stylus & Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 phono preamp (also have a "no-name/Chi-Fi" DUAL 18v linear PSU for the RT85 & Tube Box S2)
Power Amplifier: Emotiva XPA-TWO
Subwoofers: Pair of Emotiva XS12 12" ported subwoofers
I'm happy....but I'm going to buy one of the new Shanling CD players eventually. Probably the EC3...because I'm happy w/ the Eversolo's DAC & streaming...which negates the need to spend more $$$ for the Shanling ET3 over the EC3 model.
I'd recommend Arendal Sounds to anyone/everyone. It's a bit pricey, and that's unfortunate...but I genuinely believe the product is worth every penny. The speakers are certainly worth saving for.
how much of the cost is related to the build quality vs sound mechanics? If they sound great and have great build quality couldn't we find something cheaper that has less build quality and the same sound? I don't care about build quality, I don't care if I had two fridges sitting there.
@@trauma50disaster1 I've not been in the hobby long enough, or heard enough fancy gear, to be giving folks recommendations.
...but no, you don't have to spend $4,000 on a pair of speakers to have something that sounds good. I came into this w/ the intent to put together a fancy system (fancy for me anyways) that will last the rest of my life.
I did swap out the Schiit Freya+ and Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 for a Black Ice Audio Fusion360 & Fusion9 MKIII, tho. I prefer the look of the Black Ice Audio stuff...and once I saw the full-sized phono preamps I was sold.
@@trauma50disaster1 I typed out a long reply about how I'm too new to HiFi to really give recommendations & go into vivid details..but youtube saw fit to auto-delete it for whatever reason. No swears. Nothing inflammatory. No misinformation. I don't get it.
...but anyways...I think a good chunk of the cost of the Arendal speakers is because of their build quality. They use high density fiberboard rather than MDF, and there's a TON of finishing work involved with sanding when you want to paint a woodworking project.
Also, the crossovers in the Arendal 1723 series speakers are humongous.
I don't think a person NEEDS to spend $4k on speakers to have something that sounds good, tho. There's a ton of awesome budget friendly gear...depending on what your budget is.
I have Arendal 1961 1s subs and 1723 1 s bookshelves. I lobw them. Nice too see more ppl discovering them. Im happy. Sounds great! For the money... hard to het better I think. No middle man. That is huge. Retail for these would be double if so. Of course its a matter of tsate . I like the no nonsen approach. Just good sound👍🏻
I almost bought these for LCR but ended up going with a Kef R2 Meta LCR set up instead. It came down to not wanting ports due to limited speaker placement.
Did you notice any difference between driving them with the Pioneer vs the Emotiva XPA?
Great review. Much appreciated!
Great review Randy! While I'm not likely to spend that much on a pair of speakers (if I even choose to upgrade what I currently have) it's still fun to hear about speakers like these.
Steve
Another great video. Thank you.
Looking to pick these up to listen to all my records. Anyone have any experience or recommendations for types of amps etc…to pair with these. Also, I noticed a lot of people use em to watch movies, what about mainly listen to records.
Anyone who has heard the Weezer Africa cover, which is barely different than the original IMO, needs to check out Leo Moracchioli’s Africa cover. It’s actually good.
how would you compare them to the brx?
Cheap audioman discovers what more expensive speakers can do❤️.
How many speakers in this price point have you reviewed?
Try more
Thanks for your review. Arendal makes great speakers. I had the 1723S towers and upgraded to the 1723 towers. Best speakers I’ve heard in my listening room. Better than the Polk R700, B&W 702 S2, KEF R3 even when paired with my SVS SB 1000 Pros and other bookshelves and towers. I didn’t need a sub for music but once I heard one and then 2 subs I couldn’t go back. My opinion in my listening room. My speaker of the year. Their customer service is excellent with a buy and try for 60 days program and a 10 year warranty. Paid $3699 for the pair at the beginning of the year. They are big black satin monoliths that weigh 111 lbs each with the strongest speaker grills I’ve seen. The build quality is top notch. Highly recommended.
If they can surpace 702 s2 its really impressive, i currently own 702 s2 and i think they are good speakers, they might lack a bit on spl side and punch side, intrested to try Arendal speakers my self in the future, i have 1723 1s sub and its really good so would not be supriced if their speaker kicking ass to
@@andreasmoller9798The Arendal is considerably more linear and smooth than any B&W speaker, especially the 702 S2. The frequency response of the 702 is like a mountain range. I do like mountain ranges though hard to beat the view 🤣🤣🤣
@@justinbeamon6624 yes 702 s2 is quite forward and can be nasty on some recordings, they do sound detailed through, the s3 versions is even more forward i listen to a pair it really had take things to far, i already know that Arendal is less forward than 702, what i was talking about was more to sq of the speaker
How much less of a speaker did you think the R700 was? I might have to drop down and go with the polks. Thanks
Are you running the 1723 towers with two subs? That sounds awesome lol! I have two 10" JL D110 subs so I was considering doing the 1723 monitors...Have you tried the monitors with subs vs the tower? Thanks!
Nice review. @cheapaudioman, what do you thing about Arendal THX 1723 S vs MoFi Source Point 8?
I have the same question. I got really excited to get a pair of Mofi Sourcepoint 8 for music but now Arendal comes into the picture!
@@JorgeFernandez-mo5yv I have kef r3 meta and there’s a review and comparison to Arendals on UA-cam. A conclusion was that the KEFs has better highs. I have R3 meta too and mofi source point 10. And I would say mofis are a good step up from kef r3 in my opinion.
Thank you @@bobslave7063 ! this is very helpful.
I am planning to upgrade my Home Theater from the Klipsch rf7iiis to either this speaker tower version or the focal kanta 2. I know the price difference is large and it is a weird comparison, but that’s what I’m deciding between currently
I've tried the 1723 flagship towers, but they were just to big and too much for my living room. But they did sound great. However I will definitely have arendals again in the future, and the truth is that going with the monitors and matching subs will be the same as the towers, or actually a step up, but easier to move around. I was manhandling the towers by myself when I got them, and yeah. they are a two-man job for sure, and the first time I played some metal with great sound on them I actually got scared as I knew what the song was building up to. It did deliver. Oh, and I have the Pioneer receiver too, but I feel a notch up would be to use Rotel instead, but not necessary as you say.
Can a marantz 2230 be paired with these speakers ?
I find you do need a centre speaker for movies and tv shows, as a lot of dialogue is too quiet and having a centre speaker helps as you can boost the dialogue few dB
Your right, it anchors the sound.
I'm really happy to see you review these positively. I got the 1723 S Towers a year or so ago (when they were $300 less thankfully) to replace my KEF LS50s and I couldn't be more satisfied. I will say that at least in my room moving the amplification from my Marantz SR5012 to a NAD C 298 really took the dynamics of these to the next level. Enough so that I've considered getting another C298 and running them as monoblocks.
Thanks for your comment, next to being more full range are they better than the kefs in other ways? Detail/imaging?
if you end up getting another stereo power amp vertical bi-amp is also possible, meaning one amp per speaker. one channel for bass one for treble
@@hotdog9262 can't you do 4 mono's since there are 4 binding posts?
I kind of wish I applied for some jobs Arendal had going. Seems like they make such hreat stuff and a good company culture.
@cheapaudioman are you still loving these? What do you think after a few months? And will they blow away my RP-600M gen 1 or will they come off as too clinical?
Man, I really don't get these people who get upset about what the effing price of the reviewed product is. Value is what's important to me. Yeah, these speakers are more than I can afford. Don't care. I still learned stuff and Randy's always entertaining.
Because it's like calling yourself the Cheap Car Guy and then reviewing Ferraris. Probably won't appeal to your subscribers
These are endgame for a lot cheap audio folks...2k-3k large stand mount speakers are still very reasonably priced.
@@jontptExactly...if he didn't literally call himself the CheapAudioMan and build his brand around affordability, then I wouldn't care. Theirs tons of sellouts selling highend AV on youtube. Randy was one of the few exceptions.
He should be comparing these speakers to Emotiva, Polk, Sony, Elac , Jamo etc budget brands and explaining how they keep up in certain areas. Thats an easy video to make, which would be popular.
@@anonymous007advice That's actually a great idea. Comparing them to other equally expensive speakers really misses the point.
@@jontptlmao. These aren’t Ferrari priced speakers. These are still very much in the lower price range of speakers.
How do these compare to the Arendal 1723 Bookshelf S?
Demo them with the Paradigm LCR70
For music, what is the sound signature of this Arendal? Thanks!
I thought he said many times the sound was "neutral" and he elaborated that the signature is to hear the content as created without adding flavor as some speakers do, that's the way I took it.
Thank you Randy. I do like the way you describe all aspects of the sound. This gives the viewer a good idea of what to expect. All I need is a bigger house and a larger room and I will get the Arendals. Unfortunately. Till the lottery win comes through, I will have to make do with much smaller speakers in my tiny room. Have a great Xmas and continue the good work.
Brilliant review. Love when you get into Home Theater stuff.
Arendal is sure worth the price, such an exellent brand
Thanks for your time and efforts to review and share these speakers with us all. I'll have to save for a while before considering these. Take care, Sir.
I love my 1723s Monitors for LCR and 1723s Surrounds. I have 2 Emotiva DR3, XMC-2, 2 PB 3000 and 4 Ceiling SVS atmos. My screening room sounds like a legit movie cinema. I actually think it sounds better than my local cinema
Do the svs pair well with the Arendal? The lack of in wall support speakers in the arendal line up has me hesitant
@@tractioncontroloff9796 yes, my ceiling speakers sound great with my Arendals.
Very high praise indeed. Great take.
Love the T-shirt! Were you up on Vancouver Island by chance?
Bookshelf speaker, as in, you can use them as a bookshelf.
Vs the source point? How?😮
Looks like they only go down to 46hz which is not great for the size. I have similar sized standmounts that go quite a bit lower. Defo going to need a sub or go for the towers which go down to 35hz at least.
Is a monitor just another term for speaker or do the terms mean different things?
It's a style of cabinet. The definition has changed a little since the early '70s when they were all wide, shallow rectangular speakers that typically sat on the floor. Now it means "not a tower, more like a bookshelf, but much larger." Monitor type speakers typically are made to sit on a low stand or almost on the floor but with something that acts as a wedge to tilt the front up at an angle toward the listening position. So monitors are basically bigger than bookshelves but smaller than towers, or at least not shaped like a tower.
@@AndyBHomeI thought the term monitor was used to mean a speaker than is used by a music professional (of some sort) so that they could literally MONITOR the audio?
So rather than simply listening to appreciate the audio they are listening to examine and make alterations for example
Because can't you get bookshelf monitors?
Very small speakers that produce amazing sound quality for musical professionals?
@@eddieruddock7014 it's absolutely true. In pro audio the term monitor means any speaker used by anyone to monitor a signal. There are studio monitors for engineers, stage monitors for musicians, and even in-ear monitors for anyone who happens to need to pay attention to what's going through a system. That is a different use of the word for pro environments.
And sometimes people will buy what they call pro monitors or studio monitors for use in home and casual listening. But in that context the term has yet another meaning which is usually "flat frequency response," or even "high detail," which is emphasis on the upper frequencies. It is also common for speakers that are described as monitors for home use to lack bass below a certain level. The theory is that mixing engineers don't need to pay close attention to bass frequencies because they are easier to capture in a recording. In home use this reduced or completely removed low bass can be desirable to eliminate disturbances to people in other rooms or dwellings.
So we actually have numerous definitions for the term that depend on context.
1 - a cabinet style which is typically large, wide, shallow, and designed to sit on the floor
2 - a usage scenario in which a speaker is used by a professional to keep tabs on how things are going in a recording, broadcast, or public performance
3 - a frequency response character which is usually flat, but occasionally puts emphasis on high frequencies, mid-range, or both.
Can you use 3 of these as front left center and front right ? And could you use 5 of these as full surround setup ? I’ve seen a lot of people review Arendals and no one has ever had anything bad to say about them so I’m thinking these are some excellent speakers
They do have an option to buy 3 as well as 2 so yes, absolutely.
Nice West Coasr Tees T shirt, where do you live?
Are the emotiva speakers anywhere near as good as arendal speakers in general?
No
Great channel; may want to consider getting (2) Dayton Audio MK442 dual 4" 2-way center channel speakers...
Ok have you compared them directly? What did the mk442 sound like?
Thanks Much!
great review AS ALWAYS. I'd like to ask you your opinion as an expert because I've been thinking vintage for a long time but in the end and to get the best out of modern tech, I think I will go for a Buchardt combo. Their integrated amplifier and the passive boxes, the P300 or the 400 MKII which are some of the best speakers out there as far as experts go. Do you think is a good choice? Thanks in advance and all the best from your number one West Spain subscriber 🙂
Does anyone know what speaker stand to use with these?
Look on their site in the help section
You should get the Zu DWX in for comparison...
I would take the Zu's any day of the week.👍
Be assured that the Arendal's are much more neutral.
I really like big bookshelf speakers . These are nice
I played it safe and went with Klipsch new RP8000FII and added an Emotiva BasX A2 160w 8-ohm coming off my Denon X4500h which is rated at 125w taking the heavy load off the main L & R. 9.2 System with two R-115SW subs. Update: I need a bigger Amp, the BasX is working to hard and blew both tweeters. Exchanging for their XPA Gen 3 300w
I'm looking at those, how are they for you now?
@trauma50disaster1 Love the Klipsch, but the Amp is not powerful enough. I blew two tweeters, Twice. I need to exchange the Amp for a bigger one, the XPA 300w for extra headroom.
@@keithazz5103 I know nothing about tweeter blowing due to not enough headroom. I thought it was the other way around. jeez, I'd be crushed losing 4 tweeters with all that setup.
@trauma50disaster1 I was driving the Amp to its limit causing distortion and high peaks. Both Klipsch and Emotiva confirmed it. I was advised to simply get a better amp with more headroom, the RP-8000FII's can handle more wattage as long as it's clear clean power. Emotiva BasX series is their "basic" Amp, the XPA is a much better Amp. I was assured upgrading the Amp would resolve the issue. I learned after the fact of doing some research, it's highly recommended to have an Amp at least 1 and a 1/2 more power that a speakers RMS is rated at. I should have known better, but the sale price got me lol. I'm going with the XPA-Gen3 3 channel Amp and power the main L, R and center leaving the other 6 to my Denon.
@@keithazz5103 wow, so will any amp including avr's destroy speakers if it reaches it's limit and sends out some sort of killer watts? I believe your story it just don't understand it.
I’m choosing between the RT-81+ and RT-82 for my entry level turntable, and I’m not sure what to pair with it. I’m on a tight budget and limited space so I was thinking about getting some active speakers and the RT-81+ for the internal preamp for convenience and possibly to save money, but i’m not sure how much quality i’m sacrificing. If anyone has any input lmk!
KEF R3 price range, wonder how they compare. Are they to bright for a 2.1 system mostly for music.
Did you also try them sealed?
How was that?
I got a 1723 1S subwoofer 👍❤️ Just upgraded all my regular speakers to Fyneaudio otherwise I would have bought Arendals.
“The Cheap(ish) Audioman”?
Keep doing what yer doin’ mate… Now if you start banging on about Wilson Audio or the Acoustic Signature Invictus I’ll be out… but until then… 👍👍
Would you really buy these over a pair of Polk R700s?
I had both and the answer is absolutely yes. Arendal is greatly superior in my view.
😂😂😂😂😂no match😢😢😢
I commented a while back, that you should check out these. Very glad you did! I'm thinking of buying their towers, seems like they are better than even the Polk R700...
The Polk 700 are very nice! Honestly it would probably come down to which one looked better to you.
For 1/3 the price try listening if you can find them the klh kandall towers for about 8 hundred bucks..
@@brooklynknightss currently i am very happy with my Kef Q950, but i will check out the KHL
@@brooklynknightss that’s not even close to accurate. The Kendall looks, sounds and feels amazingly enough like an $800 speaker, the Arendal 1723 S at $2,000 being factory direct would easily sell for $3k-$4k at a retail store and would still be worth the asking price.
@Harrisongrey19 i just said for 800 bucks your get a great sounding speaker!!!
I was going to buy the tower version but as a single and only parent of 2 kids in college I needed to save up to buy them. Every time I would save enough cash the price would go up so I bought something else.
These are definitely coffee table books bookshelves speakers
I have the 1723 THX as LR,1723 Center THXs,1723 THXs LS & RS,and the 1691 surround speakers as back surrounds and let me tell you they sound Fantastic with movies and music, just amazing !!!!
The cheap audio man with a huge expensive house and a Xmas tree bigger than my apartment. Man, just buy the good stuff if you got that kind of bank 🤣
... but ... I thought you're the CheapAudioMan?? jk.. someone had to go there. :D
I wish you had criticized the tower instead of the monitor...a budgetary choice I guess. For my part, I have been looking for this pair (the tower) for 1 year... The fact of not being able to hear them BEFORE buying them (I know, they offer a 60 day trial plan with refund, but it you still have to pay the initial $4,000!!!), don't enchant me...
Wish I had Arendal money 😢
Since it's over $2000/pair for these how would this compare to SVS Prime Pinnacles ($1800-2000/pair) for movies? Around 2k is my budget. I know it's bookshelf vs tower, but it seems these bookshelves really hold their own against the tower version themselves.
What About "BASS" ??? Otherwise, I'm Great From Built Quality Ect.Ect
Please review some Wilson Audio speakers next out of spite for those people who think you are only allowed to share about stuff under $200.
Speakers for your giant bookshelves. 😊
Hey Randy, how about the Edifier r2850db's? Relatively affordable active 8 inch 3-way speakers. It's puzzling to me how there's not a single review of western orientated reviewers on them.
Nobody does reviews on Edifier products for a reason.
@@somejerk1520 Because they don't get sent the speakers or paid?
@@RustOnTime No, they're just rubbish
Congrats on finding your first great as-is neutral speakers. Nothing quite like 'em
Arendal website is showing the speakers for $2595 a pair not the lower price you’re showing so I don’t understand what’s happening with the website thing as you only posted this 10 days ago.
This speaker is offered in 2 versions, a small and normal size. Type s is still $2049
It's between this and the Philharmonic bookshelf.
BMR monitors on another level
@@mattgiuntGood to hear!
Where are you getting this price of 2049$?!?!! Im seein 2399$....
I'm sure they are nice but the design makes for holes in the sound when not seated at the right listening position...
I thought every known speaker does that?
@@trauma50disaster1 Coaxial designs do not generally do that... Also, well designed 2 way designs have less of a problem...
I’ve become a coffee addict since I started watching this channel
I returned SVS SBS-1000 for a lack of power, Klipsch RP-1000 iz a Bass monster
You know SVS makes bigger units, right..
@@Motorrad127 I'm talking about the sub Cheap used in this comparison, it comes with a cool app
Try Ryhtmik
Wow! Great review. I was thinking I want to but those until I heard the price. Just about $2K above my price point right now. Maybe I'll find them used for $1,000 down the road. Thanks again.
Did these just knock the MoFi SourcePoint's off of the pedestal?
I checked the link and there were no specifications just a price/pr
On the site you have to scroll down where you see sound, click that and you will see the specs
@@wilfredohernandez2257 Thanks
The Arendal site has both specs and full Spinorama data. Erin's Audio did a review as well if you want to see his data too
@@Harrisongrey19 The link was greyed out - stupid comment
Love all these comments!
So, how do they compare against the CSS Criton 1TD-X?
Ha, love your intro
Speakers like this just don't pass the wife test! No wonder Kef speakers outsell everything else. Imagine if car manufacturers stuck to the same design for the last 40 years!
Build a man cave. Since when does the entire house belong to the wife?
@@somejerk1520
Since wives have existed.
Jay's Asaygi says after $500, it's diminishing returns, especially for these 71 year old ears.
Q Acoustics, Emotiva, polk,Kef, all have amazing speakers for under a $1k.
Good enough for me.
@@somejerk1520 It's that attitude, from the old blokes who run HiFi manufacturer businesses, that result in their sales suffering. There aren't many industries where the products still look as rubbish as they did 40 years ago but HiFi is littered with those brands. It's that ignorance that stifles sales.
I the towers in white and think the finish is quite good looking. They are sizeable but not imposing.

What should they build, then, frilly vases with speakers stuck in the sides? Man up. If it's important to you to have a hifi or home theater system to enjoy, it should be important to her. If your wants and needs aren't important to her, she's not a good wife.
Finally some good products. Bring on the expensive shiz and expand the lineup.
Glad you are expanding your reviews to more expensive, mid level gear. Keep it coming.
These are not cheap
Subjective
While these may not be exactly cheap, they aren’t Unobtainium. They are however very good value.
Maybe the price comes down I due time. I live overseas so I'm not gonna be paying > $2,000 USD for these bad boys 😢
After S&H, online tax, VAT, duties, might be around $2,500 landed. $500 may not seem like that big of a leap but in pur currency it adds up to a lot
