Im 63, in the best shape of my life physically, mentally and emotionally
    Enjoyed your 5 tips
I would add to keep your mind busy with daily learning, reading, traveling, writing and keep working if you enjoy it
I learned a new language recently- took almost 5 years but am fluent now and it’s so rewarding 👌

It's nice to come about with someone that's positive about being our age on this site. Most of them seem to be losers and removed from society and family. Bravo to you. I totally agree with you

    • @michaelharrison3602

True it's essential to stay mentally and physically agile because once that's gone it's not coming back. I had a stroke at the age of 66 and had to use crutches I could have bought a mobility scooter but didn't like the thought of becoming dependent on it so I exercised to get the use of my legs back. It worked now 8 years later I'm fitter than I was before stroke I know I'm going to get older and die eventually that's inevitable but becoming feeble isn't. of course some 🎉things we have no control over
But if you reach old age and you're lucky enough to still be in reasonable shape it's much easier to stay that way than get back in shape once you've let yourself go. When it's gone it's gone

I've collected things my entire life and held on to them despite my wife continuously asking me how much stuff I need. So at 63 I started my own Etsy shop and started selling stuff off. You have no idea how much some people are willing to pay for things that I thought only had sentimental value to me, it's not like we're talking about valuable antiques here. I've made thousands of dollars over the past few years instead of just tossing the stuff that once meant something to me. Not only has it been very liberating but I've passed these objects on to someone else who now treasures it.

That is so cool, it's so cool to pass that stuff on. My mom passed on to me kitchen table plates that I have broken through the years, I replace her broken plates with used ones purchased online so mom's old plates still love on.

My woke daughter disowned me and brain washed my 4 granddaughters,my brother told me to apologize to her, though I never did anything wrong so at 61 I said bye. Tired of taking care of people who don't like me now at 63 I'm living in absolute peace before my God and those who love me😊

Oh dear.....it starts in childhood, usually if you have siblings you fight for approval of your parents/caregivers. This can be desperate measures, to get noticed, loved and approved of. If you survive childhood, you learn the art of attracting people, manipulation, adapting to other's to get approval and if you have the attitude and pleasant looks it works for you. Then you begin the path of wanting more and more until things go wrong, people who approved of you now turn on you. You have not learned how to adapt, evolve and mature. You need to learn resilience and believe in yourself to survive this adventurous life. If love comes late, embrace it, don't worry, you can and will survive.❤🙏

Oh gosh, that sounds like my childhood. Reflecting back on that point of letting toxic people go is incredible true. I finally had enough of my forgiveness viewed as weakness by big brother #2 he imploded and send my family hate mail for his life failures. That was it. Confronted him at a family party and then cut ties. It’s been the happiest 16 years of my life

I just hit my 60 three month ago and had stop fully working 4 years ago. I worked since age 19. At my age at 60 now, I never stop doing the things I like to do...I cycling, riding my Harley Davidson bike, hiking, camping and any other activities. The only thing I did now is ceasing down my circle of friends as I don't need alot of friends. My advice is never stop doing the things that you like and enjoy doing. Stay healthy, stay safe and stay happy.

Life is just beginning for me at 61 I'm even more determined to fulfill my goals, aims, vision and dreams.
61 could be 16 turned around just a number when you have goals to be fulfilled.
Don't focus on the numbers and do all can to make your personal life mission and leave a legacy and imprint for those when you are called to depart.
Leave that to the Lord and in the meantime live without being focused upon being age conscious.

Didn't take till 61 im 61 but i cane to the reality of it all at 41 !! After several strokes and multiple seizures, I understand that nothing makes sense other than you live until you die !! Thats the fact of life that is certain everything else is pure speculation !! Thats the fact of it all !!! Plan all you want, think what you want, what you do in life will determine if you are good or bad !! It's all up to you and no one else !! You have to decide for yourself, and pay the consequences for yourself !! Thats what you need to know about life !!!

Why wait until 61? Figure that shit out NOW!!! I’m 56 and I reprioritized years ago! What’s so magical about 61? Because that’s when someone els’s awakening happened?

In our 60's, we can stray from the way. A checklist, such as this, is vital for structure. What I can add is diet, sun, nature, hydration, active, schedule n virtues. I found it's a decision of AIW, ails ills woes or all is well.

If you are over 61 this is the future. Most of this advice I was doing by my late 30's, I've been semi retired since I was 43 living a minimalist lifestyle as a self employed contractor. I'm ready to check out anytime, already been where I want to go, seen the things I want to see and done what I wanted to do. I'm not going to stop training, there is no room or acceptance for no physical discipline. Your health is a direct measure of you as a person, I would rather be dead than fat.

Married and divorced twice, not blaming them or me for the failed marriages, they just didn't work, dated 6 years to another woman after 2 divorces, this also ended, again blaming no one person.had 5 children, buried my oldest, the next 2 oldest children haven't spoken to me in many years, tried to remind them I'm their father not their friend and if they're doing wrong as their father I'll point it out to them, they rejected it completely, but i have peace in that my decision was correct.i have complete peace of mind with my decision.im retired but still work part time, mainly to keep my mind and body moving.currently i live alone but I'm not lonely, I've both financial and emotional security and i live within my means.my best wishes to everyone out there.

What if the toxin is your 63 year old wife and her drug seeking behavior? It was prescriptions for years and now it’s pot gummies anything to get her gone and sleep on the couch all day, every one around me just wants to get wasted I can’t think about traveling or any recreation with a zombie, life is slipping away and I worked hard all my life to establish a comfortable retirement and the only time I’m at peace is when I’m alone usually working on my high maintenance home or on my Motorcycle.
