Listing alternatives & situational moves above the combo description, and how to capitalize when countering an opponent while you are mid combo have been incredibly helpful for my matches. Feels like i missed reading a Tekken Manual that i should've read a long time ago.
Quarter circle inputs? If using a PlayStation or Xbox controller try putting a different part of your thumb on the d pad and instead of pressing the buttons roll your finger over them. This helped me a lot! Works with quarter circle back as well. Hope this helps!

You got it!) 1:09 QCF 4x -> instant ws 3,2 is also possible, but EXTREMELY TIGHT. 3:07 I think Magic 4 into QCF 1 is also possible. Insane execution on these combos. So satisfying to watch. Would've also like to see you include UF4 as a staple for the rage drive combo. QCF 3+4 can be hard to staple for noobs like me :)
Ohh, so these new videos will include the more advanced combos. I can't wait until we get to King! Also for knockdown moves that guarantees a deathfist follow-up (ss1, BF1, etc) it's possible to get a clean hit deathfist by delaying the 2 during the qcf motion. This won't work after f2+3 tho since you recover too slow
I begin the qcf motion as soon as the first blow connects. With that elbow, there's a certain timing you have to learn for different combos and it doesn't always make sense the way it's timed. Sometimes it works better if you input forward then qcf very quickly.
@@seanyoung9014 im still trying to master it but what i do notice that my mistake is doing the 1 input to early, which is the opposite of how electric works. the key is letting the sway finish. it just screw with my brain.
@@buulaa1 I'm the same way with the DF, 1,1,2 into deathfist. It's a relatively easy move but I always do the deathfist before the opponent is in the right place. It only works when I'm not actually thinking about it lol.
@@seanyoung9014 tbh its not worth doing df2 qcf 1 unless you are gonna commit to the wr extension, if you do df2 b3 (the knee) into the neutron bomb combo you do 61dmg vs 62, its not worth the risk. regarding deathfist there is some shenanigan's with ''clean'' hits if you add a minimum amount of sway in it it can give alot more dmg.

Got a question - I struggle alot hitting QCF 1 after DF2 on paul even though the input history shows i've put it correctly either it misses or the QCF 1 doesn't register and he goes for regular punch why does that happen even though the input history shows the correct stuff
@@CalebAdams You're starting to input the QCF motion too soon - it can't be buffered, so you need to start the input as soon as Paul has recovered from the df2 animation and not any sooner!

Nobody mentions here that if you try to do thruster after launcher it wouldn't work on controler for some reason,for some reason if you do thruster(qcf 1) after launching with jab controller doesnt allow you to do that!?In fight it's outright impossible,only if you buy some kind of joystick thats costlier then the game itself.
I use controller and my trick is to momentarily switch from dpad after launcher to analogue stick to get Thruster. Hopefully that works for you too. It's literally the only time I ever use analogue in Tekken
It's hard to explain but you have to already be doing thruster when the launcher hits. Paul is a buffer heavy character. I use a PS5 controller on Steam but I couldn't pull it off with the cheap pads I was using before that.
How do you qcf forward sway into that while rising 3? Every time I try it I just do his low sweep. I've pulled it off by canceling his forward sway by pressing back then into his while rising 3, but it's incredibly inconsistent. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
@@TheTrueNarthumpulous You can also just hold D/F after the previous move and then release to do a manual WS+3. No need to do iWS+3. (The iWS+3 is d,d/f,n+3 but you'll get the low sweep if you accidentally input d,d/f,f+3 or d,d/f,f,n+3)
@@TheTrueNarthumpulous Yeah, pretty much. You just hold D/F during the animation of the previous move so Paul will crouch at the earliest possible time after finishing the previous move. And after he's crouched, just release and do the WS+3. There's plenty of time to do it this way and you don't run the risk of an accidental QCF+3.
I played online against a Paul player a day back. He did a trooper and immediately connected a 1 jab after it instead of a ws1. This actually floated me even though I was blocking just like how the rolling crosschop does. Any idea how he did a standing 1 jab immediately that floated me while I was blocking? He did this 3 times in my matches with him. Normally trooper roll makes Paul follow up with a while standing move, but this guy's technique tilted me.
lesson learned: if your opponent breathes, demolition man

If you don’t use deathfist more than 5 times per round you aren’t really playing paul
On the second combo, how do you hit the albue move I feel like it doesn't reach or the character falls before I get to knock the opponent up.
