Did love her in The Crown. Her episodes were great, but of course she had a huge advantage getting to play the younger Queen. As the Queen ages it becomes harder to be as appealing and competing with the younger portrayal. Olivia did a Fine job portraying Queen Elizabeth as well.
This is probably the first interview I’ve ever watched where both the guest and the interviewer are genuinely kind and enjoying themselves and being happy to be there
I think it's quite common in Scandinavia. A lot of Finnish talk shows use similar cinematography. Even though this cinematographer did particularly good job.
She is SO BRAVE and SO STRONG to say all that she did in the way that she did about her struggle/war with anxiety. I know that war and how AWFUL it makes one think and feel about oneself! I hope everyone she knows tells her how much they truly care every day as that helps so much! Truly wonderful intervew by both of them!
@@amirahmoosa4183 Oh youre very kind and thank you so much and hoping you have a wonderful day 😊 Hoping and praying for kindness too for everyone as it such a crazy time in the world...

This is the best interview I have seen with Claire Foy, totally natural. She transmits a lot of peace, makes us see that she is a great person. I wish she had social networks so that she could be in contact with her fans. I love her
Just found this, as I have also just started the Crown, a bit late I know - what an amazing interview, so relaxed and informative, Claire Foy is just a beautiful genuine young lady and I loved watching this!
Ditto. I've just started season 3. I'm battling to adapt to Olivia as Queen Elizabeth. She's good but Claire was exceptional. She fast became one of my absolute favourite actresses.
There is precious quality in those who work at Tesco, have the self awareness to describe their anxieties, and then the exquisite skill to act in a drama as the queen magnificently.
Well done Claire Foy!!! I love this program. And as an added bonus for me, I deeply appreciated her candour talking about anxiety disorder and the fact that she overcomes it and does brilliant wonderful things in her life. Cheers to all you guys who posted below!!!
I went to the beauty store to buy a gift for my friend and I was so confused on what to get her I had a anxiety attack that nothing will make her happy even though deep down I know that she likes anything from me. But ANXIETY is not rational it really play tricks on our mind. I hate this feelings it complicates life I've always been this way since I was a child I hope that they find a cure for that because it extremely painful mentally.
Hi lovely, EMDR therapy with a really good therapist will help alot. Also.... This is a holistic approach but look up the benefits of doing Panchakarma at an ayurvedic clinic. My friend said she'd suffered from anxiety since 11 and doing a Panchakarma completely healed it for her. Sending much love and healing 💜
I have 3 panic attacks a week in good weeks and up to 3 panic attacks A DAY when times are really bad. I wish I was scared of my gift not being good enough...
that´s the most brilliant interview I´ve seen in years. Really, but really interesting, I mean, the talk of whats really acting is, and how important it´s to undestund yourself in order to play others... It´s the perfect example of cinema concibed instead of an idustry that produces money in axchange for a false ideal the perfeccion.
Interesting. I just started watching the crown, and 2 episodes in I feel that Elizabeth is suffering from major anxiety but beautifully, her job denies her the basic human right to express sadness or god forbid anxiety while being shocked and traumatized by her dad's passing. I have very severe anxiety and I can recognize it in others in a second. Still, I wasn't sure because I don't know her yet and it's so gently written, so I looked up 'the crown ELIZABETH anxiety' and ended up with Claire talking about her own. I think she intuitively brought her anxiety along with her and shared it with Queen Elizabeth, allowed it to show between the shadows. It's very brave of her and it makes Elizabeth 10,000 times more relatable. Beautiful woman.
I adore her so much. She's a superstar. Excellent interview. Wish I could meet Claire Foy for at least a few seconds before I die. I don't mean that I want to meet her for a few seconds "just a few seconds before I am dying" 😄 But seriously, I think I'm starstruck. Thank you 🙏
The solution to her anxiety is that she needs someone in her life (we all do) to fight that battle with her. A person who won't be judgemental or put her down in any way...but that will show her kindness and understanding and tell her that it's ok when she has those feelings and let her know how wonderful of a person she really is and how much they care. Hoping and praying we all have someone like that in our lives :)
@@pinkandwhite24 Oh I hope so as when I first watched this...my heart really went out to her as I've been there with anxiety and depression and someone was there for me, and was kind to me, and that changed everything :) I hope she has a friend who has said to her... "Hey whenever or wherever your anxiety starts....just let me know and we'll talk or hang out or do something until it's gone."' That kind of caring friend is what is needed to fight those awful feelings...

Isn't she married though...? If not than she's definitely a mom, she thanked her daughter at the emmys so, there you go. A child is a magic cure for just about anything.
Countfoscolikesmice He is gifted and very well paid, and has been able to attract a healthy partner. She has chosen a very successful man who has clearly worked hard to develop his skills to a high level, prized by society. So, he has worked hard and continues to do so.
Good interview. I like the close contact situation, similar to Parkinson. The american idea of behind the desk, on a pedestal idea puts a big gulf between interviewer and guest.
There's a strange Swedish standoffish-vibe in her that's is charming and annoying at the same time. Now I know why she was cast as Lisbeth Salander. Keep the great interview coming.
I'd think the Queen would have been too damn aged to comprehend what was going on in the series even if she were to watch it. That said, Claire is absolutely spectacular in it.
She seems like a really nice, down-to earth person and she was brilliant in The Crown.

Yes, it has great lighting and the picture is super clear. Although the shots from the other side of the flames? Stalactites? are bizarre.

Claire, I do see the vulnerability in your acting and that is why I love it! Stay authentic and keep challenging yourself.
Why be shocked at getting an Emmy? She was hands down the best actress in a series in the past several years.
Olivia does a great and realistic job but Claire was just so lovely in the role.
She is just Adorable ,love her .watching season 2 of the Queen right now

Elizabeth was the role she was born to play. I am wondering if she can ever top that.
And to think her second name is Elizabeth
I don't disagree, but if you haven't seen her Anne Boleyn, you really must.

I think it is a chemical thing.
It is an oppression of the mind, an 'other' which is not YOU. Daily meditation helps to dissolve it away.

Sometimes people with underlying psych issues no matter how mild make the best actors. Many if not most actors are actually shy in real life.
