If you only paid $120.00 for your most recent glasses from a local optical store you actually did really well compared to what most people end up paying for their glasses. So your sort of coming out of the closet in admitting to your "blindness", you said it, I didn't. So by only wearing glasses when in your house that's really the same as one being in a closet. Now let's talk about your video and review. First of all just to be clear getting your PD measurement done isn't a part of an eye exam. It's actually a function of fitting your glasses after you have selected a frame. It's usually done by an optician or optical assistant. You may recall needing to look into a device that looked a bit like some type of view finder while the other person was looking through the other side. They were in fact getting your PD measurement. So instead of doing your PD yourself and not being sure you did it correctly, you could have simply called the place where you got those $120.00 glasses from and asked for it. So you got 6 ;pairs of regular glasses and one pair of sunglasses all in your prescription. I can't tell you how smart you were in getting at least one pair as prescription sunglasses. In fact your one of the first I have seen that has been smart enough to do that. I noticed a good bit of reflections on your lenses so I checked and Zeelool is one of the sites that includes an AR coating (anti-reflective) on all of their glasses. So it's a common problem with ring lights which even having that coating doesn't resolve the problem totally. I was very impressed when you said that the Rodz glasses was the pair you selected because I knew that frame was one of the smaller frames which I thought would be a very good fit on you. And since the edges with the rhinestones are a on the thicker side it works well in hiding the edge thickness of your lenses. So I could easily see you wearing those glasses as you main go to glasses for nearly everything. They appear to fit you perfectly which should make them very comfortable for you to wear which is also very important as well. That's especially true if your considering wearing glasses more often now. Which I really hope you're going to be doing now that you have such a nice collection of really cute glasses to wear. The Farris glasses come in a very close second to the Rodz. The reason the Rodz and Farris glasses look so good on you and fit you so well is because the Rodz is only 133mm wide and the Farris is only 128mm wide. So you should try staying in that width whenever ordering glasses in the future. I should also mention that when you were told that because of your rather strong prescription you should stay with a smaller style frame was correct in telling you that. But a you can see you clearly are able to pull off the bigger framed pairs as well also very nicely. Now you know that since you now have 6 new pairs plus the $120.00 pair you don't have to pick a favorite. Can't they all be a favorite depending what outfit your wearing that day? And maybe once in a while you can still wear your contacts if you don't feel like wearing glasses that day. But you should really start reducing the use of your contacts anyway. I'm sure, like nearly everyone, you have been over wearing your contacts for years. Would it surprise you if I told you that contacts are really only meant to be wore for between 10 and 12 hours a day and not more than 5 days out of a week? Have you ever wondered why your required to get your eyes examined at least once a year once you got contacts? Your not required to do that when you only wear glasses/ The main reason for that is so the doctor can get a good look into your eyes to see if there has been any damage done to your eyes by wearing contacts. Wearing glasses more often is so much healthier for your eyes. So as a retired optician I'm not saying throw your contacts away. But rather just start wearing glasses more often and contacts less often. By the way or you not aware of just how nice you look wearing glasses?
