    I'm an engineer that can fabricate, weld and am pretty creative out in the garage. I am not a baker at all but, Sylvester Graham was my great, great, great, great, great uncle. Been digging into my ancestry and figured I owed it to him to try my hand at making his crackers. I'm using your version for my 2nd variation on his recipe.       Me he encantan las Galletas Graham, de pequeña mamá nos compraba grandes tarros....
      Tristemente ya ni se consiguen en mi país. No encontré la receta escrita, mi inglés no es muy fluído para entender lo que dice Martha.
      Podría por favor escribir los ingredientes para poder hacerlas!!!

      • ¾ cup all-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
      • ¾ cup graham or whole-wheat flour
      • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
      • ½ teaspoon baking soda
      • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
      • ¼ teaspoon coarse salt
      • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
      • ⅓ cup packed light-brown sugar
      • 1 tablespoon honey
      • 1 large egg
      In a medium bowl, whisk together flours, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
      Using an electric mixer, cream butter, brown sugar, and honey until fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl.
      With mixer on low speed, add egg, and mix until combined,
      Add flour mixture, and mix until combined.
      Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll between two sheets of parchment to a 1/8-to-1/4-inch thickness. Remove top piece of parchment paper and place dough on a baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
      Using a fluted pastry wheel, cut dough into 2 1/4-inch squares and prick dough with a fork to create dotted lines. Transfer to two parchment-lined baking sheets and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes
      Preheat oven to 350 degrees with racks in upper and lower thirds. Bake graham crackers until golden brown, rotating sheets from top to bottom and front to back halfway through, 12 to 14 minutes.
      Transfer crackers to a wire rack to cool completely.

    6 Tbsp unsalted butter
    1/3 C light brown sugar
    1Tbsp honey
    1egg
    1/4 tsp salt
    Cream together
    In separate bowl add dry ingredients
    3/4 C all purpose flour
    3/4 C whole wheat or graham flour
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    Whisk and add dry ingredients into wet ingredients

    Another thing about graham flour is that it is usually a soft white wheat variety, as opposed to a hard red wheat used in whole wheat flour. It generally has a lower protein content that regular whole wheat flour, so it’s nice for making pastries and pie crusts.

      I just made it, and I added 1 tablespoon of cinnamon instead of teaspoon next time I will add 2 tablespoon and I added 2 teaspoon of ginger it was so good 😋

    I just made it. It was good and not too sweet. I added more cinnamon. i put 2 tablespoons, and I added 2 full teaspoons of ginger it was good I can taste the ginger

    I want to make smores with the grandkids but graham crackers are not available where I live. I assumed they were crackers but they are actually just whole wheat cookies... wonder why they are called crackers.

      Cordial saludo!
      Reemplaza el huevo, puede hacerlo con linaza, mirar con Google.
      La mantequilla por aceite y la miel por Maple o Miel de Caña o Azúcar Morena. Quedan deliciosas!!!!

      You could try ordering it on Amazon. Or another suggestion I have is to buy standard whole wheat flour and use either a food processor or high power blender to grind it up to a more fine texture since Martha said Graham flour is just whole wheat flour finely ground.
