Some people say that the commotion halted UP's momentum and regained DLSU's composure. I completely disagree with that. UP shot themselves in the foot early on and put themselves on a situation na kahit mag comeback pa sila di enough para talunin ang Green Archers. I can say that UP's offense is a bit stagnant and di masyadong namamaximize masyado ang post, medyo guard/wing focused majority ng sets, unlike sa DLSU there's a bit of variety. Also, Coach Gold made some bizarre player rotation decisions like subbing out a red hot Alarcon, kung foul trouble yan, I understand pero kung hindi naman edi sana binabad hehe. And even with JD, I think DLSU would win that game because tulong tulong ang DLSU backcourt. David, Ramiro, Macalalag played solid, KQ as always, and Marasigan and Gollena starting to be major contributors off the bench. Overall, DLSU played a great game, UP had an off night. DLSU also outworked UP on 50-50 balls.

After a few plays and during a dead ball, UP's coach in the hoodie started egging the LaSalle staff and that is when LaSalle staff clapped back. That commotion then started.
