NRL should’ve offered the Warriors the opportunity to have the Grand Final in New Zealand if they make it, as a Thank you for keeping the comp going in 2020 and 2021 by staying in Australia for a lengthy period, away from loved ones, but just for one opportunity. ❤

The mistake people make is they think the NRL is an Australian League that included a New Zealand team, it isn't. The ARL and NZRL combined in partnership to recreate the NRL so those millions come 2nd to an agreement that was mentioned years ago that a grand Final if NZ are in it could be in NZ. The only reason it never has was because we rarely make it to a GF

The NRL gets paid from Perth/Adelaide tourism to host the origin and NSW tourism pays for the grand final. If NZ tourism put up the $$$ then the NRL would consider hosting it there. QLD has been trying to host the grand final for the last few years without luck (apart from the lockdown period) do you remember back in 2015 there was 2 QLD teams that had to play in Sydney due to the agreement. NZ might get an origin game from 2027 when the current contracts expire if they put up enough money, but I highly doubt they’ll see a grand final. They’re too busy focusing on taking the game to Vegas to cash in on the gambling kickbacks they get

This season has been... amazing. one reason (imo) is the draw. Rounds 1 - 12 was pretty much 2022 top 8 teams playing each other (remember Broncos finished 9th), Meaning, No blowout score lines, and possibly 3/8 top teams being 2 - 4 after round 6 (Parramatta Cowboys) and... the bottom 8 teams could gain wins and confidence by being 3 - 3 or better after round 6 Broncos Warriors Knights. Just saying big fan of the system, and can we keep it?

Johnson is a good chance but has his form been consistent enough throughout the whole season? Broncos probably have at least 2 players in with a big chance with Renolds & Haas probably the biggest show. Penrith have been very consistent as a team but if that causes the points to spread out more between them is going to be interesting.
SJ been either the Warriors best, or one of the Warriors best in every win. Just on the current 4 game win streak they're on: would've racked up around 18-20pts, and had 22pts after Rd12. Hasn't had to worry about suspension, injuries or Origin like other players have either

Too much sugar coating on the Warriors for mine. If they end up in the top 4, it will be a reality check in the first week of the finals, then it'll be over for them the week after. Too much sugar coating on the Warriors for mine. If they end up in the top 4, it will be a reality check in the first week of the finals, then it'll be over for them the week after. Ivan Cleary should get coach of the year after losing yet again so many great players, and his assistant coach for two years in a row, not to mention being under the cap.
