Agreed, I've played like 2 hours this season, but I'm sitting at 2192 hours total. Started in late 2013 and I don't foresee giving this game up within the next 3-5 years.
Those people either play 1 minute a week or just suck, sorry but getting an exalt is not exactly achievement of sorts. unless you don't pick anything up or waste all your currency on pointless crafts when you can't afford them,it's impossible to not have at least some exalts. Besides the game is not built around assumption that casuals matter, sorry but almost every build that is actually any good at end-game will cost you at least few exalts.
Worst come to worst, you can always resort to farming orchard for currency cards (Emperor's Luck and The Gambler, and to an extent The Trial could all earn you decent money). Also, use your silver coins for prophecies often, and you're bound to get some Monstrous Treasures and Overflowing Riches here or there. I only had to run two Monstrous Treasures before I had a shavs drop and made 5ex off that one drop.
I think you're underestimating how much this build costs. Cospri's malice costs 10ex in essence SC right now. Mind you that's ONE. This build uses two. Also, not everyone has the stash tab to sell items, most casual players might have the standard 4 which would mean they would need a 3rd party app to have a "store" rather than someone with a premium tab.
I personally feel Build of the Week shouldn't be reserved only for beginners. This is for unique builds, a lot of which require at least one or two unique pieces of gear (whether weapons, jewelry, armor, jewels, etc). This is something for beginners to eventually aspire to.
archlorddestin You know that there are no ''tricks'' to making money right? The time you invest will directly reflect the amount of currency you have, even if you are not trading. Alot of Build of the Week videos showcase builds that can stretch in terms of requirements, sure some can't,but most are doable to start with way below what the build creators have. I mean take the most simplest and easy to go build, one of which is IB/RT zerker, all you really need is more damage, armour and life. A decent gear for it would go for about 70 chaos total. But people who bother to write and submit builds will go much further, they will have 6link starforge or disfavor - at which point everyone will be yet again up in arms shouting ''amagad that's like 30 exalt build right there, wtf'' Most builds, unless built around a specific expensive unique, will have a huge leeway to bend in terms of it's requirements. Ofc needless to say the effectiveness will suffer, but it will work. These videos are basically a teaser to showcase what can be done, not what new players should be trying to do. These aren't tutorials for new players. If you are new or beyond casual,go to forums, don't bother with these videos because they are not meant for you.
glad to see an under-used CI build being showcased. As if malice was not already overpriced as fuck now its going to be 30 ex by the time this video finishes.
Malice is expensive just because it's basically legacy coc in a nutshell. It does not have the 500ms cd between each cast which coc and all the trigger gems have currently since Atlas.
I know, that's why I wanted to buy one, I've always wanted to play a fakener but never been able to :/ Thought Cospri's malice would help but now I can forget it !
Cospri's still has a 100 ms cooldown tho (just like Mjolner). I guess it is still better than the current CoC gem in some aspects, but it is not nearly as strong as prenerf CoC.
If anything it will drop because of how bad most of the builds they showcase are seen as >.> Seriously, some of the builds they showcase are pretty shit for trying to do any serious mapping.
"The unique jewel Snakepit has been chosen for its increase in Cold Damage and Cast Speed" Because Cast speed is the best stat for a trigger based build and the +1 projectile is useless xD
Most of the Meta builds are pretty affordable, under 50c ez, nothing crazy like this. Juggernout, BV, Essence Drain, and all other meta builds, can be built pretty easily, also wasnt first hc shaper kill like Warchief totems?Definetely not builds with 1k chaos needed...This is just way out of reach for 95% of people....
happends that i give up playing because almost never win something just loosing time to play a champ untill 90 or 92 if i can get there and then going to standard with nothing just few items more for the vendor in the next few days? no thanks this is no fun :)
this build is so awesome but its one problem to better cast spell Cold att when critical strike i was using Blade Flurry becouse have 6.0 att spedd with points in Skill three Lecrate have 2,60 points this skill its to slow and i was upgreading somting there i using COC + x2 swords (Frenzy Pulse and Arctic Breath) In 6l armor have COC Blade Flurry Faster ATT Critical Strike Blade Fall Glacial CAscade COC Leech life I have HP build + Leech and more fast att and i think it is better sorry for my English On one time i Cast 4 skills
Wow.... definitely not at least 15% of the players use Cospri's Malice, no no no.. We're just going to put one of the most used (and best) builds in the build of the week series! What's next? Blade vortex pathfinder/assassin? Or maybe just a Disfavour Slayer? Also, It's using Snakepit, FOR COLD DMG AND CAST SPEED, GJ GGG. One of the best uniques this patch again. And just so it's not enough, it's not even using Inquisitor, the most OP elemental ascendancy ever.
In the meanwhile, a noob takes VB + Vaal Pact + high ES with good ES recharge pool and can facetank any boss in the game and kill shaper with closed eyes. No skill needed in this game to succes, just farm for currency and build around the most OP skill and mechanics in the game.
For those gunning for the top of the tree,it's kind of gimmick for games like these,i think you might have gotten lost when clicked this video... I have done 7 different builds this league,8 if included my TW totem experiment which ofc failed, not one of them had anything to do with bv. The game offers plenty of random shit you can build around,if you wanna go for the fotm build,it's your choice,if not - just don't.
And where is the interesting thing about this?... I supposed to Build of the Week was the place for builds with interesting mechanics... This is a normal CoC build supported by items. WHERE is the interesting thing about this?
These videos are also watched by either total noobs or people who have never played poe. As an advertisement for the game this build is excellent since CoC builds like these seem very interesting and unique to this game.
Ahaha, this is just a plain and simple booby trap. A noob or a new to the game will never can do this build. Just check poe trade. Cospri's Malice Jewelled Foil is 14 ex (standard) and you need 2 for optimal function... As bad publicity helps a lot... Damn, I play PoE for over 3 years and I don't have 14 ex.
You don't need 2, only if you have much than 5 attacks per second, also's it's 4-5ex on essence league, get your ass off standard before you start whining about pricy stuff.
I usually do not comment on youtube, but your comment triggered me. You must really suck at the game if you haven't made 14 exalt in 3 years. I play around 1 year and I made more than 40 this league with almost no trading (just selling items and cards, not big ticket items, just few chaos, the most expensive item I've got this league is reach of the council)
Because using aoe+single target skill with curse on hit is amazingly skillful. Skill is making your own character, not how overly fucking complex your ''rotation'' is.
Ohlook, another way too expensive build that most of the community will never touch due to its rarity of the BUILD-ENABLING uniques. When the fuck will GGG realize that not everybody got 10-14 hours a day to play?
'energy from within' jool part made my day... when this ggg gonna balance ci and hp.. and sorry yet another trash build with insane amount of currency needed .... losing all hope about ggg day by day
I have been playing for 3 years and trust me, making currency now is much easier than it was before. Now we have prophecies which can give you 5s5l or 6s6l which you can either sell or use to get decked out rather quickly. There's also the new mapping system that if you use to your advantage can give you a fuck ton of loot compared to what we use to get. Strongboxes weren't in the game back then either and they tend to give some pretty good value.
i was shitting on 1 guy and removed his comments and gone whatever dude whatever.. ya getting currency is not hard as other leauges and days, but we still talking about min 20 ex build.. lets make budged version its min 13ex by any means... 13 fucking ex to perform something like this ? no ty
Mert uygun 13 ex isn't that much though >.> Hell, the legacy Reach of the Council, which is used for most builds and amazing for Tornado Shot is a minimum of 13ex. You then need a Rat's Nest with 2 secondary projectiles, which is 60ex by itself.Atziri's Acuity is the prefered for survivability but if that doesn't matter then you can save 23ex. That is just one build. Most builds in this game are extremely expensive if you are trying to min max them. The cheapest is the Whispering Ice build which is a free 7 socket 7 link if you have 6 sockets on it. It is also the most powerful skill in the game atm dealing millions in dps if you get full stacks up.
***** I'd say at the start of the league anything with t2-t3 life rolls, and t2/3 dual resistances would sell decently,as the league goes on,as it was mentioned the market gets oversaturated, and thus if you are unlucky and join at the end of the league, you might have a hard time selling anything but really good stuff, hence why they also would never implement auction house, because the effect that leagues have at the end of them, would happen almost instantly at the start. Most people also have the false impression that if they get ''close enough'' to the gear and general idea of build they have followed,it should perform just as well,it's false. Most decent builds that tend to look horribly expensive are minmaxed, you can run them in budget unless they have something that is basically a must-have to survive and is beyond expensive, but by default unless specified otherwise, every build can be run in budget, one just shouldn't expect the exact result from the getgo.
And then you reach guardians.
And then you realize "fuck, this shit can't be chilled".
I saw the Forge of the Phoenix layout and was disappointed the clip did not extend to the Phoenix boss. EDIT: Saw it at the end. Damn cool!
@rangeless you see him killing phoenix in the very last seconds of the video.
This build is not focused on chilling nor freezing, so I don't see your point. Probably some "Cannot be poisoned" fobia.
Archmage Vengard
I have played with Cospri's Malice to level 90, and that 60% doesn't do shit, you reach 95% crit without it. Your point now?
ong this music at the beginning. Build of the week is the shit. And Poe is one of the best games iv ever played.
Agreed, I've played like 2 hours this season, but I'm sitting at 2192 hours total. Started in late 2013 and I don't foresee giving this game up within the next 3-5 years.
how can you know how much time you have played dude ?
Should do a budget build of the week as well. Some people never even seen an exalt.
Those people either play 1 minute a week or just suck, sorry but getting an exalt is not exactly achievement of sorts. unless you don't pick anything up or waste all your currency on pointless crafts when you can't afford them,it's impossible to not have at least some exalts. Funny how you severely nerf cast on crit and release Cospri's Malice in the same patch.
the boss fight at the end was really cool
18% elemental reflect map mod will hurt real bad!
Your avatar makes your statement that much funnier.
glad to see an under-used CI build being showcased.

"The unique jewel Snakepit has been chosen for its increase in Cold Damage and Cast Speed"
Because Cast speed is the best stat for a trigger based build and the +1 projectile is useless xD
yea frost bolt and arctic breath totally arent projectiles amirite huehue
he's right about cast speed tho
yep, pretty sure a yellow ammy would do so much better, also essences would make a incredibly better ammy
yep nice video again BEX love your videos and ofcourse nice build maddognils
I just started this build a week ago, lol i'm glad i geared up before the inevitable price hike
Every time i see this... i jus wish diablo 2 still had content updates... how sick would it be... love these twoo games tough... amazing work!
I would love to be able to play POE with a top down perspective like at the 3:30 mark of this video.
Thanks for watching and see you next time!
The build of the week is WORMBLASTER THE FOURTH
I really hope this build still exists in 4 days
I would favor Frostbolt, Cold Pen, Faster Proj in one Cospri, and Vortex, Pen, AoE in the other. Trigger the combo easier and at range.
they nerfed CoC gem hard, one of the most loved mechanics in the game , and now this new CoC is build of the week ...
nice build! and nice increase on item prices as well :)
That Kaom fight though :O
Have to say I'm a sucker for panning camera boss fights :D
if u have to spent 800 chaoses just for weapons, any build is good xD
Most of the Meta builds are pretty affordable, under 50c ez, nothing crazy like this. Cool story Adrenalin.
cool no.. sad story yes but true :)
sounds to me like you have no idea how to play the game effectively tbh
how does he travel that fast?
Damn awesome build
CoC builds variety was replaced with one evident and trivial Uniq. I think its bad replacement. And yes, build of the week is evident and trivial too.
Finally something actually viable.
"something viable". everything is viable when you spend ridiculous amouts of currency on that same build
Bring on a build with one of those name locking skills that got "buffs." i want to see a build that has to fight.
Granted this build has some serious downfalls but it looks super fun to play.
why no just call it fridge
What is the theme in the backround? Somewith we who bought the packs have this expansions OST to download?
I saw this one coming too... why oh why didn't i invest in flipping Cospri's Malices and Snakepits....
somebody show me how to the build this class, pls
Really awesome build nice playstyle. i wonder if this works on 3.0? harbinger league. plz answer
is this a still relevant build for 3.0? looks like my kind of area. if updates in build can i get link? thank you :)
Hey, What is the music at the start of the video?
Prices on gears used now?
Mandatory : CI, Dying Sun, Helmet Lab Enchant, Essence Craft...Build of the Week renamed Builds you'll never Reach!
Very coool build.
played this build 2 years ago, nothing's new...
основа билда это 2 меча которые на стандарте стоят по 10в каждый!
далеко не все игроки смогут позволить себе такой билд
That is pretty cool.
How did you get 11k energy shield?
That whirl speed is painfully slow
*gasp*! Ghost Reaver is a keystone, not a notable!
anyone knows if we can still do that build?
I'm gonna try
I saw this build today in game, looks sick, but sadly its expensive
immortal atzulu viable ??
Is this build still viable now (3.2)?
budget friendly build
lacerate got nerfed and crit specific option not that easy to get
atziri viable?
why no icespear? Kappa
Each of these Cospri's Malice Foils costs 5+ ex :(
The build looks cool tho
Whaaattt? I made this build a while ago!!!
this build is so awesome but its one problem
to better cast spell Cold att when critical strike i was using Blade Flurry becouse have 6.0 att spedd with points in Skill three
Lecrate have 2,60 points
this skill its to slow and i was upgreading somting there
i using COC + x2 swords (Frenzy Pulse and Arctic Breath)
In 6l armor have COC
Blade Flurry
Faster ATT
Critical Strike
Blade Fall
Glacial CAscade
COC
Leech life
I have HP build + Leech and more fast att and i think it is better
sorry for my English
On one time i Cast 4 skills

Cospri's is an expensive build :(
Switch to reave and you might actually have a viable build here!
Don't forget Vaal Reave, just so you can buff up regular Reave beyond it's normal limits!
In the meanwhile, a noob takes VB + Vaal Pact + high ES with good ES recharge pool and can facetank any boss in the game and kill shaper with closed eyes. No skill needed in this game to succes, just farm for currency and build around the most OP skill and mechanics in the game.
Valzzak FS hasnt that been the case for every arpg ever?
For those gunning for the top of the tree,it's kind of gimmick for games like these,i think you might have gotten lost when clicked this video...

I like the voice :)
what the point to rip CoC gem and making uniques like that?
Assassin can make almost anything good due to the high crit chance and multi. Not really anything amazing considering the weapons.
RIP CoC
I wonder if the cold front moving globally is contributing to the whiners in the comments section.
Nah, just the usual salty fanbase of this game. =P
AWESOME
Дорогой и не сказать что супер эффективный, можно собрать и дешевле и эффективнее билды......
cool build heh

Diamondgsf
You must be playing every fuckin day then, don't just assume everyone no-lifes this game.
it's back thanks to coc changes
Builds with Cospris Malice dont need brain or skills or otherthing... + some bosses cannot be chilled. It s a shit-build.
чет дпс опять днищевский , ваншотов так долго бить --- не спс
Why is the Life/ES/Mana GRAY?! o_0
(I don't like it!)
9999999 chaos build
stupid in this game is you have to buy your shit instead of finding your own
"Cool"
Oh wow, another auto-caster.
So skillful...
Because using aoe+single target skill with curse on hit is amazingly skillful.
Skill is making your own character, not how overly fucking complex your ''rotation'' is.
Haha ridiculous, freak of nature. Seems unattainable for the average player though.
ES = =
BOTW should just stop. POE players can't seem to grasp the concept of an interesting build showcase, always complaining about cost and viability.
Ohlook, another way too expensive build that most of the community will never touch due to its rarity of the BUILD-ENABLING uniques.
When the fuck will GGG realize that not everybody got 10-14 hours a day to play?
FIRST :D
'energy from within' jool part made my day... when this ggg gonna balance ci and hp.. and sorry yet another trash build with insane amount of currency needed .... losing all hope about ggg day by day
Double cospri is all you need, thats like 10ex, that is not an insane ammount unless you are new to the game.
I have been playing for 3 years and trust me, making currency now is much easier than it was before.
