selute you brother... im starting to watch your channel from 2 days before ...but i don't know what ?you are something special to me. from you i get so good positive vibes. Iam from Kerala..lives in Singapore. i thought you will stop your vlog as long after that fucking accident ...but you comeback more strongly... it's amazing brother .... today at this moment my personal favourite UA-camr is you...with all the respect i selute you once again. 🙏 i wish to meet you any day ...if you come to Singapore contact me please.. ok brother ..keep going ..chase your dreams 👍
Your videos are truly what i was waiting for to make my day a whole lot better. I stumbled upon the joniyeh one by accident as i was scrolling through youtube and then i ended up watching all of them. As a fellow lebanese 22 years old i feel so honored knowing that you've enjoyed this country although economically we are at our worse but spiritually we still have fiest and fire in us to keep going. I am so glad you choose to overlook all the fancy places and go deeply into the local life, tried to mingle with us, ate the food we ate and not the brand names you see all over the world. This economic crisis has hit us hard, and made a lot of us leave home sweet home. Being one of those who remained you made me smile for a couple of hours as i went through your videos and got nestalgic remembering all the memories i have in most of the places you visited. I honestly advise you to explore more. go to the ceder forests at shoof and al-baruk. please visit bayt al deen and the castle of moussa ( i insist on the castle and seek its story) . Go to al assi river and enjoy some rafting and some grilled fish. Visit Gaitta's Grotto (now thats the world's eight wonder take my word for it). As for food recommendations try taboule and fatoush these are A class salads, try warak inab bil zayt ( grape leaves). I wish you the best time. Make yourself at home. You are more than welcome at our home "lebanon"
Shawarma in Lebanon is so tasty and special. Just a quick tip, the last bite in the sandwich is probably the best bite because all of the ingredients specially the garlic will be accumulating at the bottom. I hope you're still enjoying Lebanon, have fun :)
Just a fyi: Fouad meant Tartor sauce, not Tartar. It's different as tartor is a mixture of garlic and tahina. Tartar is mayonnaise-based. Also persil is french for parsley.
love from Pakistan to my Lebanese brothers and sisters .its a tough economic situation in Lebanon ,,,,, hang in there and always hope for the best and be prepared for the worse .....cuz its a brutally difficult time to be in, god bless ya'll
There a place in my home town that makes incredible chicken shawarmas, they are seriously addictive once you figure out your favorite toppings. They are always busy, I feel stupid for not opening a shop my self come to think of it! :D
For the people who never had Shawarma, You know when you just got a good massage and you just lay there without moving a muscle, that feeling of weightlessness and head clarity is exactly how the last Shawarma bite feels like
@ProudOfYourRoots That's unfortunate. But I'm not surprised, It may seem simple but It's very hard to ace a shawarma sandwich. It's the same here too, Most of the shawarma restaurants are pretty average, You have to know your way around a city to know where to get a good shawarma. So if a few bunch can create a tasty shawarma in It's place of birth, Even fewer would be around the world.
I watch Dale Philips vlogs and saw you a few times there so I came here to subscribe to you!!!! I love that you are always smiling and seem so happy it’s contagious watching your vlogs!!! I did watch your fire cracker vlog last night and omg what a horrendous thing that happened to you. I had tears in my eyes watching that vlog. Well stay safe. Can’t wait for more vlogs from you!!!!
Fouad is such a great host!!! Thank you for showing the real Lebanese hospitality! He made me laugh hard when parsley became Persil 🤣 I drooled the whole clip, I miss a good Shawarma sandwich!
@@ScarfvceEU true. It's a common slip for francophones; it's a mistake that mom frequently makes, among other Frenglish, i used to tease her about the detergent Persil, hence the laugh .

Man! I was just watching your previous videos searching for the best shawarma and I was waiting and hoping to see someone telling you to go to Joseph, not to Barbar. Then a few minutes later ..BOOM you uploaded this one and I felt so relieved.
@@LukeDamant you should try his falafel as well. few meters away from the Shawarma. its called Falafel Joseph. the falafel restaurant started way back before the shawarma, maybe more than 45 years ago!
👍🏼👍🏼😊 oh, Luke, so nice to see you enjoying your company and the meal together. this really made me smile! i'm also happy to see so much vibrant activity in lebanon.
You need to try the Syrian Shawarma, it is the same recipe as the Lebanese except we don’t put fries and we wrap it in a special thin bread. The bread is meant to hold everything together so you can fill up on the inside and not the bread.
No surprise here, of course Lebanon should get number one in shawarma taste, they have the best chefs of making shawarma and falafel sandwiches. The rest of the world just a copy of their version.
I am in Texas and planning to visit Lebanon and stay 4 months. I think you are the most qualified to answer my questions 1. How much money can you bring on you via the airport? 2. How do you transfer/receive USD without opening a bank account? Appreciate your answer. I only asked when I saw you actually replied to many comments.
What country would you say had the best food and hospitality in a whole. I feel like Lebanon is superior to other videos you’ve posted. I’m jealous I wish I had the guts to go to Lebanon.
I think Pakistan and Lebanon might be tied. Cheese Paratha from Pakistan is his favorite food and their hospitality in Pakistan was also amazing as it is in Lebanon. I would love to visit both countries and hopefully in the near future I will!
