They were both awesome tones. I think I personally prefer the thicker lowend on the pedal. Great track too
Huge fan of the AMT preamps, I'm also hugely impressed by their performance. Were you running the P2 at 9v or 12v? I know they take both, and in my experience they tend to sound a bit more dynamic and less compressed at 12v.

Little beast, handles well with the Peavey. Mine has become my "pocket gig amp", due the two channel setup.

me lo compré y apenas lo conecté no me gustaba como sonaba, lo escuchaba medio raro...y era que me había olvidado el wha prendido jajajaja
Hola, como lo conectás?, directo a una potencia, al return del equipo? En algunos preamps diferencia al conectarlo a un valvular que a un clase D es tremenda. A un clase D pierdo todos los armónicos, el brillo y la compresión.
@@pablovilan soy de Argentina. Los amplis y equipos siempre carísimos y como es por Hobbie Lo conecto en la cadena de pedales después de wha y el noise supressor directamente a un Marshall MG 15
Si yo también soy de Argentina, sufro el precio de los Amplis y gear en general. El MG15 es un equipo muy noble. Enchufado al MG suena parecido a este video el pedal? Gracias Angelica!
@@pablovilansi, suena muy parecido. Solo hay que agregar un eq para levantar los bajos, que por lo menos en el MG15 no suenan nada. No lo probé al amt saliendo en otro equipo

спасибо! пробовал писать преамп через родной кабсим, результат неплох, но с внешним гораздо лучше звучит

What was the signal chain for this? Mic? Cab? Awesome amp tone! Pedal sounded very tight and a bit brighter/thinner, can this be dialed out?

Привет! У меня p2 и когда я подключаю её без гитары к комбарю, появляется фон, а нажатие кнопки сопровождается очень громким щелчком. У тебя тоже так или это мне брак попался? Проблема с заземлением, например. Блок питания от amt, пробовал разные, в том числе и крону, расклад тот же.
не было таких проблем, в тех поддержку амт обращался?
Alex Chichikailo да, сегодня написал. Я ещё зашёл в магазин, где её брал, там сказали, что так и должно быть.. но на ютубе, сколько ни смотрю, у всех она работает настолько тихо, словно выключена. Спасибо за ответ)

After some years, I still think the P2 may sound better without boost. Haha.
noob here... how do you record those pedals? and what do i need to be able to do that? thanks in advance
hi there, from the little I know you'll need a soundcard, or anything that will allow you to carry your guitars signal through your pc via usb, then you need a software to work with your sound. If you have one of those amt pedals connect your guitar in the "in" socket. Then use the "cab sim out" and connect it to your soundcard, or whatever device you got to transfer guitar signal in your pc. I believe you're ready
olethroz i currently have a focusrite 212 interface and using reaper as a daw. What if i dont have a pedal that has cab sim on it?
@@12Jsilva well, at this point my knowledge starts to dim... I think you have to use impulse responses, but i dont have a single idea on the topic. I'll tell you how I do it though. I use an amt cn1at the end of my pedal chain. This is an all-analog cabinet emulator, on which you can also adjust different parameters such as the cabinet size, the position of mic etc. This little device has 2 outputs, one that will go into your soundcard and the second is a headphones socket, that means you can practise silently with only your pedals. Or if you have an amp with a line out, you can dummy load your speaker, and connect it to the cn1 for recording your amp or practice in silence

@@12Jsilva Hi there, when you have only your guitar, the pedal and your focusrite interface, you'll probably not be able to get a really good sound :( If you have a pedal, that has a good cab sim, then it's something different! But when you go from a normal distortion pedal direct in a mixer or interface, it'll probably sound really cheap and thin :(If you have an amp, just put a microfone in front of it, and connect your microfone with the focusrite interface! When you're limited to only your guitar and a pedal + interface, I'd recommend vst plugins like Bias FX. With that, you can connect your guitar directly to the focusrite and put the plug in over that clean guitar sound, it's basically a virtual amp, but you can get soooo awesome and heavy sounds with it!

Monstro i have the p2 and is awesome for gigging.....with a an airis proto drive boosting and a zoom cdr after the p2 and the cab sim out hooked into my behringer 31 band eq, i dont need no stinking axe fx
i have the same pedal haha now im waiting a precision drive for use it as a booster but well i'm still waiting
isaac thrash So you dont use p2s cab sim. Do you use behringer eq for cab sim? Are you going into pa after behringer. How did you manage DI signal level?

@@MrDushelove ламповые приятнее звучат, не такие злые как LA серия, но с грелкой очень добротно, а нравятся мне и те и другие, всё зависит от задач.
