Hi Everyone, In This Video I am converting a petrol bike to electric using 4000W V4 17Inch Hub Motor From QS Motor and Fardriver ND72530 Controller, With HLY 26650 3.7V lo-Ion Cell 240Pcs, Making 72V 60Ah Li-Ion Battery, With Emergency 4KW Onboard Charger, it can Go upto 140Km/h using Flux Weakning, Without FW it do 120km/h+ Top Speed, Also in Single charge it can go 130km at Eco Mode, in Sport Mode it goes 100km, and at Super Sport Mode/Race Mode it goes 80km in single Charge, there is No Maintenence like an Ice Engine Bike, This was a Petrol Powered Bike KTM Duke 200, 2015 Model, which i Converted to Electric Using 25KW Motor (peak)

Building stuff from scratch and executing end to end takes a lot of knowledge. Guy looks like a hard core biker. He made the climb up and down look very easy. I think he should work with bike makers and bring this to market. I'd make mine electric if conversion kits are available

@@rdj2398 yeah but it can be done if government really want to save environment by not producing more carbon emission in making new EV and want to reduce pollution done by current running vehicles.
The way you built the battery was genius - I didn't know you could spot weld copper like that. Do you simply lay nickel over the copper sheeting and then spot weld like normal? Does it work well?

How do you charge the bike and how many hours it takes to get fully recharged? .... Are there any vibration in the bike while riding it? and is there any overheating issue?
It has onboard charger, can be charged in 4-5hours, no vibration very smooth and silent, no heating issue at all
Amazing build. I have a few questions though:
1. Can the batter case box be made from composite material like carbon fiber?
2. Does anyone use aluminum-air batteries for EVs?
3. Is there a difference in performance if we use a hub motor and brushless motor connected to the back wheel using a chain?

Very respectable work here! Congrats! (Said from a French system engineer). I brought the same bike 7 years ago and restore his motor for the fun last year. But electric conversion would be funnier.. Your lithium battery seem pretty big! How far can you go @50kph? And @110kph?

80-90km at 110 kph (in single charge)

What is to estimate project cost? Did you directly imported all electronic or did you bought it locally from any seller? I'm also very excited to convert my petrol bike to e-bike.

You made a worthy upgrade. Well done. I have some questions. Battery pack inside any cusion for obsorb sockes. Why many tripper on underseat instead of seen on other ev scooters. What about rainy season and water wash is it water proof. If traffic police find this vehicle is detrofit they allowed or put fine for not road legal. Finally how much cost for this modification and charging time.
hey sri to ans your question let me put it this way.
1. if you make any modifications to a vehicle it it counted illegal as per Indian RTO ministry hence this would be not allowed, Goverment holds the right to seize it without any warrant. you need rto approval for using any electric vehicle in india except for the one's that dont go above 25kmph top speed. they are exempted from this clause/rule.
2. Usually there are cusions or shock absorbers in battery pack but there isn't in the video.
3. The Battery capacity of the added battery is high as it powers not just the motor but the controller and other electrical systems to provide power.
4. motor is made waterproof by the manufacturer QSmotors. Now about the battery the person who made the bike did use sealant to cover the insides of the battery case but it isnt up to mark or reliable. so that will need a work. plus a lot of electricals are open inside the seat so i wouldnt say its waterproof or ready for rains.
5. i am just guessing, so motor costs somewhere 400-600$ and battery nearly 40,000 inr my guess is 90,000-1.5L
