Eligible Monster YOU ARE GREAT ! ! ! I'm Understanding Games & Stories Both New & Old So Much Better Because Of You Guys/Gal Thank You So Much ! ! ! ! ! 😄 😄 😄
Thanks for the recap! With Will of the Wisps on the horizon and my lack of time to replay Ori, this helped remind me of the story. It’s a great, concise look at the story!
This game was what I call quality content . When indie games r faar better than modern AAA (imo) , thats when u see a masterpiece . Such beautiful scenery and music . Luv ur vid mate.
What a beautiful game, and the storytelling... marvelous! it was so engaging and I deeply cared about the characters. I was so sad and emotional when every turn of the story. Sucha great experience.
I've played Ori 4 times now and each time I cry very hard as if it's my first time playing. In fact I found myself weeping that's how much it affected me. I'm longing to go through another emotional journey when Will of the Wisps comes out. Hoping for a release date soon because the wait is just killing me.
You and me too, I've beaten Ori 2 times, once on hard and I'm.afraid to touch it again just because I don't want to ruin it or have it lose its fearsome punch
Thank you so much for telling this beautiful story. ❣️ I tried the game on Switch but as an elder it was just too fast and confusing for me. This would make a lovely children's book..a classic.
Thanks for this video. I originally played the game on XB1 and loved it, but couldn't make anything of the story. I'm playing it again on PC and it looks ever better.
I love the video, but I think you're missing a LOT of information. Firstly; Kuro knew that bringing Sein back would kill her. She SACRIFICED herself because she knew Ori was sympathized with the 'creatures of the dark', and knew about Ku. She felt Ori could take proper care for Ku when Kuro would be gone. Secondly; Naru and Ori definetly didn't 'hibernate' in their cave. They did see the forest turn grim, but Ori didn't know the Tree was calling for them. The forest was dying because Kuro took Sein.
When i played the game i thought kuro was some kind of avatar of shadow, or something, while ori being creature of light. Neither are good or evil, and becouse the tree called for ori with light, it killed kuros children becouse the shadow is somehow countered by the light, so she wanted revenge.
A good team? odd choice of words. I'd say they are family considering Naru see's Ori as her child. Second game is probably the only new release this year I'm actually hyped for~ good vid non the less :>
I think the immersive soundtrack helped too because of the detailed animations/effects/drawings and sound especially it made the emotions 100 times more intense during moments
I still question why the tree called Ori in the first place. Yeah it was because of a festival but what is it? I mean saying it was a festival isn't exactly a justifiable to call out your child and accidentally kill 3 other children.
The festival was probably an event that powers the tree with light, knowing that it seized its moment to use all its light at full power to widen the search for ori. ori is a child to the tree so ofc the tree was worried sick of its child, but like (Keith Redacted) commented here this is just a big pile of parents making mistakes because of their emotions blinding them, tree blinded by its worry for ori to think about all the creatures born from darkness will be affected by its search, naru's selfishness blinded her from seeing that she cant keep ori to herself no matter how much she as grown to love ori and Kuro was blinded by her rage of seeing her children die to think about that her actions could cause more destruction to everything around her, including her last child still in its egg in the nest.
Knowing the backstory of Kuro makes Ku’s death so much more depressing. Even though I haven’t finished Will of the Wisps, and I suspect there’s a way to bring Ku back. The fact that Ku is currently gone in my playthrough still hurts. These Ori games are a serious emotional rollercoaster
Such a beautiful story and game. I actually didnt play it because jump n runs are just not mine. But I was intrigued by the story and watched it on youtube.
Okay... I thought the tree was a baby-killer and we set the world on fire to pressure the owl to restore the tree’s power so that her last egg didn’t get cooked... just wanted to make sure that was actually the plot.
just bought ori and the will of the wisps since i heard that mechanics in the sequel is better, cant afford to buy both games since im broke so this video is really helpful!
got stuck inside a rock through a bug, couldnt get out, deleted game after that, im here just to see how it ended since i dont want to play it all again
I dont understand the ending. If Kuro and her chicks are in danger because of the light of the tree, why return sien to the tree? I mean, wont the last chick still die because the sien is returned to the tree? Can anyone enlighten me please.
Nope, Ori is whatever you wan, as lifted from the wiki. "There is often a misconception about Ori's gender among fans. A certain line in the game, which occurs at Ori's first encounter with the Spirit Tree, has led many fans to believe Ori is female: "We told Ori the tale of her misguided will". The "her" is not referring to Ori, but to Kuro, as events in the game later show. A Moon Studios programmer later clarified in a Reddit Q&A that Ori is intentionally left ungendered, and that "it's open for everyone's personal interpretation!"[1]"
@@EligibleMonster I like to think of ori as a girl but that's just my personal opinion but that's partially credited to the fact that her personality is too much of that of a girl when you look at her personality from both the blind forest and will the wisps
me neither. after seeing the ending of undertale, this isn't all that deep. (please don't be mad at me, I just don't find this game very emotional. as no main character dies, (other then the owl))
Wait I have a question and I know it’s old where are the other spirit guardians in the 2nd game like they were born by the spirit tree etc but still where are they now in the second game they could’ve helped ori to find ku
Watching this to remember the plot of the game before playing Ori And The Will of The Wisps that just came out. Thank you for making this video.
Same here. Have fun with the Will of The Wisps!
@@tibixdev thanks, you too!
same here
I'd lie if I'd say I didn't cry
I can't believe listening to a 5 minutes summary made me cry O_Q
not a lie for me since i cant
I didn't cry and I didn't feel anything.
i think everyone who played this game blind will cry i cried too at both games
This game is incredible...

I was crying
1st of all ori is genderless second they never said what gender is ori anyways
ori my love 💙
I didn't cry....just got some dust in my eyes.
I just started to play the game...its very interestin
Thanks for the recap! With Will of the Wisps on the horizon and my lack of time to replay Ori, this helped remind me of the story. It’s a great, concise look at the story!
I definitely teared up playing this. Both Ori games are so amazing, two of my favourite play throughs ever
I didn't cry... but it does feel... painful.
Same
So emotional anyone who thinks it isn't does not have a soul
or you re a pussy
@@sof4183 yeah I was 4 years ago haven't seen this shit ina minute😂
Shedding tears while watching in 2020. Masterpiece of a game. Thanks for the story summary!
Who else is here to refresh their memory before the new one comes out tomorrow??
yea
this just hit me right in the feels
I cried for kuro and her sons :/ kuro is the best character in the game. Ori is just sweet and naru is kind.
This game was what I call quality content . When indie games r faar better than modern AAA (imo) , thats when u see a masterpiece . Such beautiful scenery and music . Luv ur vid mate.
I had almost forgot the story, still as powerfull and emotional as i remembered. Thank you for the reminder before i pick up the new game.
What a beautiful game, and the storytelling... marvelous! it was so engaging and I deeply cared about the characters. I was so sad and emotional when every turn of the story. Sucha great experience.
That ending though...
Thanks this helped me understand the story more and what ori truly is
Just finished the game, incredible story, touched and amazed.
I've played Ori 4 times now and each time I cry very hard as if it's my first time playing.
In fact I found myself weeping that's how much it affected me.
I'm longing to go through another emotional journey when Will of the Wisps comes out. Hoping for a release date soon because the wait is just killing me.
practically 2 years have passed and the devs havent said anything... sigh.
You and me too, I've beaten Ori 2 times, once on hard and I'm.afraid to touch it again just because I don't want to ruin it or have it lose its fearsome punch
February 2020!!!! Will of the wisps!
March 11th
It is time, friend.
This games story is beautiful.
Can we just praise the absolutely beautiful thumbnail of this video
i really did cry 🥺 its been a long time since i saw something emotional like this ❣️❣️
Ok I’ll admit it, I’m not that much of an emotional person as I was as a child but this almost made me cry
Just finished definitive edition. An amazing game. All of the tears. Nice plot summary video.
I just finished it, cried like 4 times, maybe 5 I can’t recall lol. Basically every cut scene I cried
Thank you so much for telling this beautiful story. ❣️ I tried the game on Switch but as an elder it was just too fast and confusing for me. This would make a lovely children's book..a classic.
i am paying ori2 now. the first game was a master peice. its amazing with no speaking parts that you get the story so clearly
I have never had a video game make me cry so much until I played these two games
Thanks for this video. I originally played the game on XB1 and loved it, but couldn't make anything of the story. I'm playing it again on PC and it looks ever better.
Lovely voice narrated a lovely story. Subscribed!!!
Perfect little recap before starting will of the wisp! It looks like it will be just as emotional if not more 😭😭😭
This needs to be a movie
+snapper1495 ^ 100%!
The game is always a better choice tho
Nah
it would ruin it
I like it the way it is
Spoiler:
Ori becomes a fucking tree in the sequel. Just great...
Haven't played this yet but I am in tears just watching this video 😭
it looks amazing and the story was great. how could anyone dislike this
amazing game and the sound track that accompanied it was pure perfection
Final Fantasy VII was the only game to ever make me cry, until I beat this last night.
Now I wouldn't say that I cried playing this but I will admit that this game is beautiful and well made
same here i did shed some tears ...., even in ori 2 will of the whisps .
When i played the game i thought kuro was some kind of avatar of shadow, or something, while ori being creature of light. Neither are good or evil, and becouse the tree called for ori with light, it killed kuros children becouse the shadow is somehow countered by the light, so she wanted revenge.
I didn’t have a single tear but I almost did. Love the game and channel! Btw Have you ever made a Complete story of Okami?
How that light killed her hatchlings is unknown but it’s touching to see her crying over her dead children but I hope her egg is safe
I definitely didn't cry. But that's because I had no idea what was going on. I'm dumb, I needed the story explained to me.
A good team? odd choice of words. I'd say they are family considering Naru see's Ori as her child. Second game is probably the only new release this year I'm actually hyped for~ good vid non the less :>
THIS GAME IS BEAUTIFUL!!! :')
It’s a good thing you can see the second game try not to cry there then
I hope one day you do a complete story of ori and the will of the whisps that game really had me crying at the end
the animations are very very VERY detailed and are VERY VERY AMAZING in just a 2D game its seriously DETAILED along with epic emotions and FEELSSS...
I think the immersive soundtrack helped too because of the detailed animations/effects/drawings and sound especially it made the emotions 100 times more intense during moments
In reality are 3d models(thats why the animation so fluid) and after they maked 2d images of the animations. Kinda screenshots of the animation
I still question why the tree called Ori in the first place. Yeah it was because of a festival but what is it? I mean saying it was a festival isn't exactly a justifiable to call out your child and accidentally kill 3 other children.

It's 2024 sadly I didn't cry but this game is still good
I like how caracter have some glowing spit like Kogahri and Ori but I still like Kogahri alot :3
So all this could've been avoided if Ori just went to the tree when it called him. Got it.
Too much feels for one morning
I cried and I don’t usually cry over games
I'm happy that my Desktop is just good enough for this game even though i played it on XBOX ONE S...
HOW IS THIS NOT A MOVIE?!
@CHRISTOS ZENEBISIS
You right. I’ll take it down
Definitely teared up a couple times
If feel bad for Kuro. I mean, the spirit tree killing Kuro's children is a total dick move !
Such a beautiful story and game. I actually didnt play it because jump n runs are just not mine. But I was intrigued by the story and watched it on youtube.
So Ori wasn't a dead spirit at the end. I came to UA-cam to verify
such a great simple story for a really difficult game, i love it.
simple? I found it very complex. A simple story is the one in "Mario Bros" :) I think I missed out half of it while playing.
tbh i wouldnt call that a difficult game, games like celeste and hollow knight are way harder
@@mathilliterate i think its hard if you r just a casual gamer and dont play alot of similiar games of this genre

WOW ! ! !
Man 'O Man ! ! !
That Story Was Incredible . . .
I Don't Know If I'd Be Able To Play The Game Though . . .

loved that, the game has it emotional and it's just so nice
It's beginning to rain...
+Mark Ko it's not raining?
+Anthony Whitt He probably lives in a different area
Even the Evil ones has things to protect
Thats what makes the story so great kuro wasnt evil. Just a mother who lost her babies
The baby owl in the new game is named Ku..... my feels.....
I'm not crying, my eyes are sweating 😐
This games story is very simple yet beatifull
Who the hell cuts onions at 10pm....
I was playing pro and I keep forgetting to save, so I lost all of my progress and I’m not doing that again. So I’m watching this
This needs to be a book. Then I would get an A plus on the book review

BRUH ,I feel for the giant Owl’s babies
Oh boy i cried to that ending!
What kinda light this tree giving if it kills as well as provides
I didn't cry, there was a bug in my eye and i was trying to suffocate him ... So, how did Naru come back to life?
Gamu the little spider guy returned the favor because ori save him so gamu used the little spirit orb it stole and used it to revive naru
@@twbj3245 ah of course, it slipped my mind. Thank you Mr Black.
all these feels man
OK who put these onions here?
Man I love this game

well explained, and in just 5 minutes!
I dont understand the ending. If Kuro and her chicks are in danger because of the light of the tree, why return sien to the tree? I mean, wont the last chick still die because the sien is returned to the tree? Can anyone enlighten me please.
OMG... Fucking feels, man...
i am a game to this game and it is a freaking emotional game which make me cried so much but yet people should make movie about based on the game
1:57 by the way the ori is female I'm just saying in case you did not know
Nope, Ori is whatever you wan, as lifted from the wiki.
