Hate to be that guy, but Daleks aren't supposed to be emotionless, only when they're written shittily as generic robot monsters. They're Nazi xenophobes, they're driven by hate. That's like their number one distinction from the cybermen.
Yeah I think it's more like they had there positive emotions neutered and there sense of empathy suppressed, while there negative emotions have been greatly amplified. After all even in the classic series we have plenty of examples of daleks showing anger fear and panic, and also plenty of examples of daleks showing joy and self satisfied smugness crop up also. This is of course one of tge main things that differentiated them from the cyber men who were always meant to be truly emotionless.
Exactly. Space nazis that are more determined to remain pure than the bitchy trampoline from season 1 & 2 ?
Yeah. Hate, fear, pride, disgust. They only feel emotions that make them better killers. It's Cybermen who have no emotions.
@@UberDr009 heh...

Didn't think I'd ever hear that again.
Walrus is in the Matrix oh my god, I'm a huge fan of yours.
Resolution was the best episode of series 11.
Of course, that's like saying 1945 was the best year of WW2 - Because that's when it ended.
I'm Sure harry, Nitpix and I Hate Everything are the same person
All British people sound the same to you? Racist. (tbh I also thought Harry and Nitpix are too similar).
It just depends which pills he's taking
Not sure about I Hate Everything. Harry has mentioned Nitpix beforehand, so I do wonder sometimes.
Yeah I agree
yeah ive been thinking the same thing
It’s all fun and games until you poke your finger into a bit of ooze on the wall when you realize you’re celebrating New Years with The Blob.
beware of the blob
And then you sort-of become an anti-hero with that same blob telling criminals to stop robbing banks or it will consume them
4:37 Hell when the show first began he was travelling with his GRANDDAUGHTER, she knows what being a dad and a grandad is like first hand!

Perhaps you could do:
- Fear Her
- Daleks in Manhattan/ Evolution of the Daleks (i personally like it and i'm curious to see your thoughts on it)
- Planet of the Dead
Or if you want something non DW related, how about Fantastic Beasts (since you did HP)?
Or, how about any Classic episodes?
The ones, from each Doctor, I would like to see him review the most, include:
First Doctor- The Space Museum
Second Doctor- The Macra Terror (Getting Animated, Later This Year!)
Third Doctor- Invasion Of The Dinosaurs
Fourth Doctor- The Power Of Kro- I'm just kidding! Genesis Of The Daleks! (I actually haven't seen that one, I just started reviewing Jon Pertwee.)
Fifth Doctor- The Caves Of Androzani (Also, haven't seen.)
Sixth Doctor- Attack Of The Cybermen
Seventh Doctor- Remembrance Of The Daleks (Haven't seen any Seventh Doctor stories, as I'm refraining from watching any more Classic episodes, to save my original reactions, fro my reviews!)
I'd like to see Eleventh Hour - imo the best first episode of any (new) doctor
I think Series 3 is pretty underrated so a few reviews of stuff like Daleks in Manhattan would be nice
Really he should do the series four two part finale with davros and the daleks
Let’s not forget that Chibnall essentially forced Moffat to rewrite The Doctor Falls so Capaldi delays his regeneration for Twice Upon A Time over fear of losing the show’s Christmas slot because Chibnall refused to make a Christmas special his first episode, only to then give it up anyway the very next year for a New Year’s slot instead.
Not only did Chibnall ruin the 13th Doctor, Series 11, and just flat out Doctor Who as a whole, he also ruined Moffat’s finale and farewell. I seriously hope that *if* Doctor Who survives long enough to get a new lead writer, they just make Chibnall’s entire era non-canon
It's all canon, flux, timless child, all canon
Um, that guy wasn't housing a dalek shell, the dalek made the shell out of scrap he had
But why would they make it identical to the old design? That seems like extra effort
Somewhere else said it got more parts when it got the old gun from storage, I don’t remember seeing it on screen. If it didn’t... we are meant to believe the Kaled mutant crafted a rocket system out of spare parts 😑
yes look at the rality bomb a rocket is nothing
Which is a bullshite a team move.
@@SoupsSB They mentioned that the storage place that it broke into earlier was a storage area for found alien tech and that what remained of the darlek's original body was stored there, hence why it went to that particular place to begin with. So most of the body was from the original shell just with parts of normal metal welded on as a temp fix till it could summon the fleet.
"Daleks don't laugh. Them having no emotions was the whole bloody point."
Point of what?
Daleks are filled with HATRED. That's an emotion. Hatred also can make you laugh. Believe me, I know. Just watch 10 seasons of Smallville in a row, and you will know as well.
While I agree with you I'm not convinced only hatred would allow them to laugh. A large part of the characterization of the daleks is that they are humourless fanatics.
@@@astralwyrm3787
Sure, maybe I'm reaching a little. Then again ... the dalek's laughter did sound pretty strange. Like it did try that for the first time, mimicking something it has no experience with. After so many years being cut to pieces and shit, maybe it just wanted to try it out. Give itself a treat, if you will ...
...
...
never mind. Overthinking bad writing again. Nasty habit. :)
Maybe. I can't remember now but didn't it download earth information or something? Maybe the dalek had used that as reference to come to the calculation that to laugh would be insulting/goading. Like a robotic "hahaha" from someone who doesn't get the joke only that they should laugh.
Laughter is the product of happiness, even if that happiness is derived from seeing someone you hate suffer, it's still a 'positive' emotion, the daleks don't have 'positive' emotions so they shouldn't laugh
@@Marcus280898 Sure. Again, my argument would be that "THE DALEKS" didn't laugh. ONE dalek did. We've seen unusual dalek behaviour on New Who before, especially when a dalek is divided from the collective and/or trapped in an extreme situation/environment.
Dude you should review sarah jane adventures

@@paladinboyd1228 thats a good point, but then again even if it made the shell from spare typical workshop parts, in power of the daleks the doctor says that the daleks are very good engieneers, and can build an army if given the right materials.
11:03 I think the guy on the farm didn’t own a Dalek shell, he just had a lot of scrap metal and material that Dalek Lyn was able to create a new Dalek shell with. Like in the first Iron Man when he’s in the terrorist cave
THANK YOU. Ive been making that comparison. This is WAAY more retarded than that though
That's the best bit of Iron Man though. It's hard to live up to.
Daleks are not emotionless.
Hate is supposedly their only emotion
well supposedly they have "crude" emotions
Some daleks have been shown with different emotions
By this I mean other emotions than hate and such
Arent their emotions (other than hate) usually surpressed by some hardware? I seem to remember an episode, where the doctor turned a darlek against its race by disabling that machanism and giving it a bit of a brainwashing. @@mrdalek9353

I thought I was done ranting about this season, but this video reopened old wounds.
Let's begin with my disappointment in the 13th Doctor and her inability to be intimidating. I thought if anything was going to bring it out of her, it would be the Dalek episode. Nope - Thirteen was her usual sprightly and chipper self, none of the passion and fire of when Doctors Nine and Ten faced the Daleks.
Then there was that character arc of Ryan and Adrian (which the whole season seemed to be building towards), which contributed nothing of any substance to the sci-fi elements of the show. Also, the sci-fi added nothing to the character arc. They have no reason to be in the same story as each other! And that's already enough to ruin an episode before we even get to the Dalek.
Yeah. About that Dalek.
So they gave it a bunch of new powers for no reason except to advance the plot, which means apparently now Daleks can leap on people's backs to possess them, reassemble their dismembered bodies with convenient teleportation, and block the TARDIS from landing with a convenient folding wave of convenience - all without the use of their iconic shells. It makes you wonder why it even needs the bloody shell in the first place!
*_Oh, but it's a reconnaissance scout Dalek , which makes it super powerful!_* Right. because militaries _always_ send out their elite supersoldiers to do scouting work before the battle begins, and then never use them again!
And despite all this, the Dalek proves to be extremely killable when the plot needs it to die, and for the stupidest possible reason. Because metal makes a spark when you put it in the microwave. *A FUCKING SPARK!* If that microwave was the best thing they could have done to get Adrian involved in the story, it should have been a sure sign for them to drop that part of the script entirely. But they didn't. They went ahead and filmed this sloppy first draft!
It's Aaron dumbass
now that i think about it, dalek recon scouts dont make any fucking sense
they should just be renamed dalek knights or whatever they could think of, makes more sense considering they can make everything they encounter bugger off with ease
I had an idea a while back where instead of having it be a Dalek, the alien in this episode could be a sort of space hermit crab, which inhabits the stolen armour of a Dalek, but is still pretty deadly in its own right. It will stop at nothing to get a new home, but it turns out that 'home' is a literal killing machine from planet Skaro.
This episode was terrible, Hopefully they forget about this whole season! To me every episode was bad I was looking forward to Jodie's Doctor as she was amazing in Broadchurch but she comes across as a ripoff David Tennant with the emotional range of an egg
Eh, I knew it wasnt gonna be good from the start
Well then, here we are now in 2020, Doctor Who is now even worse than ever before.
PeterTheIcePea that’s true, didn’t even finish season 12 haha
There was Eccleston, who was pretty good at being a crazy post war Doctor, Tennant, who's a bit more light-hearted after chilling with Rose for a bit but can still switch to PTSD mode when needed, and Smith who was happy and fun to be around. Each one built off each other's character (including Eccleston, who did a nice job of mixing classic who's doctor with his own interpretation), and it was amazing to see the character grow this way.
Capaldi at some point _did_ have his own, more serious and old man character, but the director was like "Yeah, no, Smith it or shove it". It was a shame that he couldn't develope his own style as freely due to Matt Smith's popularity with the fans, but he still did a good job with what he had in my eyes.
Then Whittaker...
There's been at least 2 dalek invasions with in their lifetimes. How can they not know what a dalek is?
Moffatt wiped all the Davies Era invasions at the end of Series Five. They never happened now.
If it's not on social media, it never happened.
No Christmas special, and no real series finale, it was just a random episode.
This episode had so little to do with new years that it could have easily been a Christmas special, i m the internet joke would still work, everywhere is also closes on Christmas, Ryan's dad could have wanted to reconcile since its Christmas - a time for families to get together and just change them mentioning new years eve parties to historical Christmas parties
2/10, that's a bit generous.
How bout -10/10
0/10 is way too generous
It actually wasn’t that bad. I’d say 5/10 would be a good score. It was just another episode.
You should see him give 8.5 out of ten to fugitive of the judoon 😑
I hope I'm not the only one who thought the Dalek was like a budget Venom, down to the voice.
Mouse Watson I thought that that was the point.
Venom's not like that in the comics
Oh my god! I never realised that
Man every minor character in this series has literally zero questions when first introduced to a) The main cast, who are often from a different planet and era of time b) A time machine or c) The supernatural aliens and creatures that appear throughout
“It’s shooting out the cameras to stop us from tracking it”. What’s to stop them from following the trail of broken cameras then?
I just don't get how she didn't immediately know it was a Dalek - you'd think 3000 odd years of time travel would mean you'd recognise your greatest enemy out of their casing looool
Recognise it from what exactly, some sludge on the wall?
Cyan Griffin tennant did in the dalek manhattan episode by tracking where the ‘sludge’ was from with his sonic. considering how overused the sonic was through the whole season you’d think she’d manage to do the same
That guy didn’t have the Dalek shell, she made it from memory remember!!
"Alright, so I have this grand plan to kill the Dalek, we'll stand behind the forcefield, lower it and then surround the dalek, strap on the parts and activate it with the Sonic!"
"Alright, so we go when you disable the Daleks weapon with your sonic?"
"What?"
"The Daleks weapon? You are gonna disable it right?"
"No? I was just gonna put you all in mortal peril for no real reason"
"Oh great, super good to know... What if the Dalek disables your sonic?"
"... I hadn't thought of that"
Episodes that I've wanted you to review for a long time are Father's Day, Boom Town, The Christmas Invasion, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday. The Runaway Bride, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Blink, Voyage of the Damned, Partners in Crime, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, Midnight, Turn Left, Stolen Earth/Journey's End, The End of Time, The Eleventh Hour, The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone, Amy's Choice, The Lodger, The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, A Good Man Goes to War, Closing Time, The Wedding of River Song, The Angels Take Manhattan, The Snowmen, The Bells of Saint John, The Name of the Doctor, the Day of the Doctor, and The Time of the Doctor. I know it's a lot of episodes and I know you won't review all of them or even see this comment. But I'd love to know what you think of them.
Blake Kegresse he has said in the past that he has similar views for a few of these episodes (Excellent) so he didn’t want to bore us basically
The Name of the Doctor is some of the best 9 minutes in NuWho
That's not enough episodes. C'mon, give him something to work with here.
When I watched the ending I had like .3 seconds where I thought they might make the dalek's demise as a bit more dramatic.
I imagined Graham telling Ryan to forgive his dad before getting the dalek off of Aaron, making it latch onto him and throwing himself into the sun to save everyone.
Would've been a decent conclusion to his arc now he and Ryan became close and it would've left an open spot for Aaron to join the main cast and shift focus to Ryan and Aaron developing their relationship.
I honestly never thought the show could get any safer with deaths than when Moffat was around... but heck, they did it
That "emotional" exchange between Ryan and his father about 20 minutes in was IMO the best scene in the episode.
Could you please review Huamn nature/the family of blood its my favourite episode of doctor who and itd be great to hear your take on it
I think the Doctor saying "So I've heard." in response them saying dads are complicated is a reference to the Doctor's Daughter, where he fails to save his new daughter, and how we see his granddaughter, but she never mentions her mother and the doctor never mentions his actual daughter. Jodie's doctor has the potential to go places as long as the showrunner gets his crap together/
Tbh I think you should start reviewing episodes during the RTD era. It'll be definitely be great to see you review episodes such as The Waters of Wars, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, Blink, The End of Time and The Long Game.
I realized something halfway through
This episode has the same plot as Venom.
Soldiers-"we've got you surrounded" while all stood in a small group directly in front of the Dalek.
“This series will not have returning monsters...”
This technically isn't part of the same series.
They had to have a Dalek or the would've lost the rights to it. BBC doesn't own the Daleks for some reason.
The only time I laughed at this episode was the next day when GCHQ tweeted they had successfully fixed all their systems or sommin after the dalek attack the day before 😂
Yeah I call bs when they somehow defeat the dalek in it's old casing in like the 9th century, this dalek is even supposed to be "more dangerous" than the usual.... In series 9 didn't 1 dalek basically destroy Vaan staton's museum easily? Makes no sense how it was stopped....
I was even more annoyed when they didn't explore the darker sides of the doctor
And again they played it safe, could've killed Ryan's dad off and taken a risk but no, everything works out also more boring explaining instead of showing
''Just make her poke the abnormal alien clinging to the wall or something'' - Chibnall in the writing room. Btw great vid, I was looking forward to this review.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Harry, when I heard the doctor go "so I've heard" with the dad's being complicated, I genuinely believed she was referring to herself, but she didn't want to let that on to Yaz...
As for telling the companion's of the Daleks... What is wrong with this? Chibnall hoped this series would bring in a new audience so maybe THEY don't know what a Dalek is. And not to mention, NEITHER DO THE COMPANION'S SO OF COURSE SHES GOING TO EXPLAIN.
Exactly. Thought the 'so I've heard' comment was alluding to herself.
And of COURSE they are going to explain what Daleks are for the new audience (and Who will always have newbies as its soooo long running) and in-story to the companions. I obviously know what a Dalek is but I didn't have a problem with being told again - I was even chuffed that they mentioned their home planet being called Skaro. 🤓
I think that phrase probably would have gone over better with the fans if she had said "So I've been told."
Or she could have not said that at all. Whenever I hear someone say "dads are complicated," I don't automatically think 'oh this person must be a father.' Particularly if it's a woman saying it...
I honestly thought that when the internet was shut down and we see that family that one was playing a video game and he would loose connection then say something like "What the Hell, I was gonna get a victory royale" and he'd be playing fortnite
That would’ve been hilarious lol
Copyright infringement. I don't think the BBC is willing to lose any money on a joke like that.
We've reached the tipping point here. This review was a lot more entertaining than the episode itself. "At this point I was just praying for the end" so funny because it's true. 😂😂😂

4:33 I actually think that was good writing. A long time watcher knows she has family, but the doctor rarely bring it up. Saying “so I’ve heard” is so the others don’t suspect anything, and so we know she still has those secrets.
But daleks do have emotions.😐

"Them having no emotions?"
Fucking hell Harry, they're driven on hatred and anger and disgust for anything not Dalek material. It's literally what separates them from Cybermen. Get it fucking right, you've watched this show long enough to remember the basics.
i was microwaving something while watching this and as the music played at the very beginning the beeps that played when your food is ready matched up perfectly with the song
Just watched Doctor and Donna episodes and honestly it's hard to enjoy them knowing what has happened to the soul of this series
STOTTINMAD just get it in your head series 11 is a completely different show. That’s what they intend it to be really. Who ended with Capaldi’s Doctor. You know they just had a Dalek in this one for contract, you know all those staff people were gritting their teeth!
I’d enjoy them more for the same reason. Lately I’ve been watching stuff from Tom Baker’s 1st season, and you add bad future seasons to bad special effects of the present it should be dismal. But for me the opposite is true.
@@winternow2242 yeah stick to watching the older episodes because it looks like Doctor 13 isn't going to get any better soon but that won't happen if people keep switching off as history has shown you have to grit your teeth or it gets axed again and I seriously doubt whether it would get a 2nd reboot in 25 years time. Just have to make the BBC realise that the programme still has a future as long as they invest in a decent writing team and I've lost fingerprints running down Chibnall so I won't go into that again.
10:53 No, that guy didn't house the dalek shell, and that isn't a farm; he's the supervisor of a sort of metal factory and we clearly see a montage of the dalek-Lin building the shell by forging and yielding spare metal parts
Wouldn't have minded a faster paced, more action heavy Dalek episode for a change but they clearly didn't have the budget for it. Top tip: if you don't have the budget; don't do it or it'll look even more cheap!
Oh man I was laughing all throught the episode, the segment with the Dalek controlling the girl around London was hilarious..
If these episodes weren't so bad then we wouldn't have these hilarious reviews 🤣

Me:
" In conclusion, YES"
The episode shows the Dalek building the case on the farm with the parts it stole from the mdz place and some random rusted steel, which is honestly more absurd than a farmer having a case just lying around because of how many times they have invaded earth lol
another thing that really annoyed me in this abomination of a special was the round that the tank fired, the tank is a British Scimitar reconnaissance tank, it fires a projectile with a diameter of 30mm that basically looks like a large bullet
not what looks like an overturned bowl painted green with yellow stripes plus in reality these rounds are far faster than any missile so the Dalek would not have even been able to hit it in time
this is just a nitpick because i know a lot about tanks
Thank you tank man!
You’re nitpicking about fictional alien technology dude
We are talking about alien missiles.
You liked the things lots of people complained about. You should apply this degree of scrutiny to any of the classic episodes and see if they hold up. Also, the casing was made in the warehouse.
Series 11 is crap
I love this channel.
It saves me the pain of actually watching this last series of Dr who.
Now it just reminds me of the "teen" movies that were around when I was young.
Watching the last episode of capaldis final season brings home how bad Jodie’s run was. Nardole, Bill and the Doc was an absolute delight
"It's shooting out the cameras to stop us from tracking it, grrrrrrr." Was I meant to laugh hysterically at that line delivery?
Even holding that microphone, she is trying to look badass and it is just having the opposite effect.
Best BBC sitcom in years.
The problem is that I can see the cast of Yes Minister getting a lot more laughs.
Pretty sure “Resolution” refers to our Collective Resolution to not watch this show anymore.
The scene where the one dalek takes down the troops is a callback to when the daleks said this... "we can kill the Cybermen with one Dalek"
Their worried that the people at home are gonna forget that this is a special so they have to keep reminding you.
Me then: ewww moffat!
Me now: bring moffat back!!
Who misses moffat?
In hindsight, moffat wasn't actually that bad.
a cats yea. I wish moffat was back...
I don't. This isn't Davies-standard, but it's still better than Moffatt.
4:58 OK maybe you didn't like the layering of images but I think it was a great choice, to show her fighting with the Dalek mutant that's taking over
RUUUUUUUUUUUUNAASSSSANORDA
I’m crying
Stupidest parts of this episode:
- Some superior recon Dalek was defeated with sticks, swords and ropes? when we know that previously a regular Dalek could melt bullets and defeat a whole space station full of soldiers with futuristic weapons.
- One girl hammered and welded a full Dalek armor in less then couple hours? Did he gave her superpowers or something?
- People with sticks could defeat a recon Dalek but an army with a tank couldn't? Even tho its the same Dalek but now it was weaker cause he was remade from rusty craps?
- Dalek vs Doctor scene sounds like something from Yo-Gi-Oh... "You can't do that cause I deactivated your trap card! Haha!"
- Why would Dalek keep the same hostage and not switch to the cap for example?
- Chubnall and his personal father issues. WE GET IT you hate white man and you think fathers are terrible cause your daddy sucked. Doesn't mean you have to add that to every episode...
- David Tennant era of DW would execute the microwave macguffing idea 100x better. But they way they did it was hilariously bad.
- The family and Wi-Fi joke was straight out of o bad sitcom. What is this? Big Bang Theory?
You're either I Hate Everything or Exurb1a except this is your TV/ movie analysis channel and I LOVE IT!
It was a pity that the army didn't have a few barbarians to help out, you know since they beat a fully operational Dalek and the army couldn't beat the second hand version.
The episode isn't great but he didn't mention the effects were pretty high quality, as when they're bad he has a lot to say. The scene when the dalek was thrown into the supernova was visually good, the squid dalek was well designed and the recon dalek looked pretty good too. Not sure how he thought there was a dalek shell just there when we literally see the woman building it from scratch.
Personally I think this episode was pretty decent tbh
The Minecraft Alliance decent as in bad
I liked this episode, but I respect your opinion.
You like the episode? Thank you, I thought I was the only one
That's kind of like, lets say you spend your whole life caring for, tending, and basically contributing anything to make your garden at home stunningly beautiful, a work of art! Then, one night while you sleep, a gang of criminal street thugs rip plants out, spray vulgar graffiti over, burn, take shits on and mostly just completely destroy the thing you cherished most in your life.
Now, imagine the next morning upon learning of this, you stand there in a state of shock, surveying the utter destruction , the pervasive smell of urine and human feces surrounds you, you see a descriptive line of text describing what one of the vandals wants to do to your wife spray painted across the rear wall.
Just then, a neighbor enjoying a cup of coffee notices the scene. He walks over to the dividing wall, peeks his head over to observe everything you have still to fully take in, and he says, looking over to you, "I know its just a matter of taste, but I like it!"
@@cravinehogan1191 so you're saying the New Years' Special is objectively bad? People are allowed to like and dislike things.

I'll admit I kinda liked it too. I do agree that there were a lot of unneeded and poorly done scenes (plus it would have been nice if the modern day guardians had an actual part in the storyline), but for the most part it didn't feel any campier than a typical episode. Plus I thought this darlek was pretty bad ass, I mean that new weapon fire effect made it seem like it was firing a full on cannon with each shot, and I wish they hadn't killed it off at the end potentially making it a reoccurring villain for later episodes. Also it seemed like the thing had gone a bit insane from it's time torn apart and if they had played up that aspect a bit more it could have been even more interesting.
does anyone else not think it would habve been better for the dalek reveal to be the Doctor unrolling that manuscript with the dalek on it in the TARDIS instead of the DNA sample.
Dalek took out the junction box so they couldn't track by a trail of busted cameras.
how to describe series 11...you ever just been on the toilet for a long duration of time, and the shit is so painful, at first you think its gonna be ok, but 30 minutes later your clenched over the toilet desperatly trying to shit out that little nugget, then it comes out and gives you a breather, you wipe your ass, stand there for a good 5 mins recovering, you go back to what you were doing before going for a shit, then you hear your stomach go “urrpghhrr” and you bolt it to the toilet again and are back in there for another 15 minutes, which you call that last extra bit of shitting a resoloution, then you go about your life and forget you ever took that shit 12 mins later, yeah, thats Dr who - series 11, doctor poo and the turdis, going off fighting the shartlex with their “EX-CONSTIPATE”
I quite liked this episode. I think it worked towards undoing how moffat took the fear out of them.
I kinda hoped you'd make a montage of all the overly happy times the team had after they talk about how hard Ryan's time has been since Grace.
I'm so glad you reviewed this, however I loved the episode. I would love to see you review my all time favourite episode Silence in the library/forest of the dead. Also maybe the eleventh hour and blink.
Keep up the brilliant reviews👍👍👍
She is not the Doctor , at least not the Doctor we know of .
Well done Chinball
The thing I hate most is the fact, throughout the series the Doctor is like don't kill the spider, don't kill the tim shaw dude but in this one their like lets kill this dalek by throwing it in a red hot burning sun. The show can't even stick to its principles.
Last time we had a dalek human thing was asylum, there was a Girl with an eye stork
That reappeared in Night of the Doctor and the Magician's Apprentice. However, I think of them dalek sleeper agents as more like the successors to the robomen rather than full fledged dalek hybrids.
Oh and by the way the Dalek built the casing out of metal did you listen
Incorrect the finest Sheffield steel
I love this episode so the score was a bit of a shock. Did any of the series 11 episodes get a positive review?
"The Woman Who Fell to Earth" got an 8/10, and "Rosa" and "Kerblam!" got a 6/10. "It Takes You Away" got a 5/10 so take that one however like.
@@SJ9001 Huh I didn't think the first episode was all that strong. Thanks for answering.
And HOW ON EARTH did Ryan, Yaz and Graham NOT KNOW what a Dalek is when you had all the Daleks coming to Earth in the RTD era!?
I hate the whole chibnall era but to be fair, her saying "or so I've heard" seemed to me to be an obvious attempt to cover up revealing smth about her past she didn't want to get into. Hence the pause. Which really doesn't help develop any relationship with "the fam" because they literally know nothing about her, so it's still a bad choice, but not to the extent of not remembering she was a father at least twice.
The WiFi scene is my most hated scene in the entire show, that includes love and monsters
I became a fan of Doctor Who like 3 or 4 years ago while they were showing a week long marathon on BBC America to build to the Christmas special that year. Became gay for the David Tennant episodes and have been a fan since. Then.....then Season 11(Series 11 for those of you in America 2) happened. Oh boy. Never have I seen a show run itself into the ground so fast. It's fucking tragic.
I think what that scene with the father and son tried to have closure is about anyone passing it down the torch. Basically, Ryan is us Whovians and his Father was BBC. They unintentionally/subconsciously wrote that to vent us. I actually personally like the latest season it had fewer cliches and was more down to Earth compared to the others...all they need is to introduce the Valeyard to complete the lost child they mentioned and how he got Capaldi to get with Gallifrey into the blue maybe the Master and Doctor shared the same face and that was the Valeyard...this is a trick that will get you hooked up to their stories.
But then again this is just my opinion...

You got me at "coughing fit".
Liked
I will say this, the upper half & lower half not quite matching up in the dalek shell did irk me, but the action sequences made up for it.
Did it suck?
This is like asking an injured man the question " Does it hurt?"
YES 😀 this answers question 1 and question 2
13:34 There should have been a fourth wall break in which on that moment, the Internet actually shuts off.
It's all fun and games until the white guy gets ex-terminated. Actually, given the rest of the season, I thought that Resolution was good - not great. I thought Jodie Whitaker's intro with the Dalek (ring any bells?) was fun, the Dalek blocking the sonic screwdriver a nice turnaround, and the idea of primitive and extraordinary human beings defeating a Dalek pretty nifty.
Thank You Harry I had to change my rating from an 8 to a 7 because of you, Thanks 😡. Now you can review the rest of class and even Torchwood while you wait for a new Doctor Who episode.
That's a good idea. I'd like to see him review Torchwood.
Pls do more of 11s episodes he is my favourite Doctor😊
This was my first and currently only 13th Doctor episode I've scene. I didn't absolutely hate it, but didn't like it all to much either. For one thing, I feel like there are way to many companions. Kinda hard to get invested in them when they have to compete for screen time. I did get a chuckle at the scene where the Doctor calls UNIT and finds out that budget cuts disbanded them. Oddly, enough I just watched it a few days ago and that was the only memorable part.
