Same! I hate all those titles in the borders but adore the deck and when I saw Dani’s mod I was blown away! Definitely need to trim down and mark the titles in silver!
What would be even better is if I could find some metallic fine tip sharpies! Then I would do all the trims!!! LOL all I can find are the thick ones (that actually write and stay on the cards) which is why I stamped them! It’s messy, but worth it 😆
Love Tarot of the Sweet Twilight. Some of the random little critters in the background on a few of the cards are so cute!! The tower card in the Tempest Tarot reminds me of the Moon card in Tarot of the Pirates, also has a kraken wrapping up a pirate ship. Tarot of the Pirates makes me lol, it is so over the top classic pirate theme it cracks me up.

I still really love your HP Majors deck!!! And really love Illuminated Tarot. I don't think I realized that the playing cards were the exact same with limited palette (or i forgot). I know these collection videos were a lot of work but dang I really had a lot of fun watching them!!!
Hi Dani! I recently got the german version of Modern Witch tarot and the cardstock is much better! I trimmed mine so its borderless and it's been great so far 🥰
You have so many decks I haven't seen before - this series is quite an education! BTW, the pronunciation of the Kipper's name is (very roughly) "Fan duh Sea-eck-luh". It means "end of an era" and refers to the turn of the twentieth century i.e. the years around 1900.
Idk what it is, but there's something about Mystical Medleys that absolutely creeps me out lol. If I were ever to get that deck, it would be a shadow work deck, oddly enough, because it triggers something in my gut that almost feels like phobia-lite, if that makes sense. Like a sense of panic or anxiety. I can't explain it. Very strange lol. Meanwhile, the Hayworth Tarot makes me feel comforted and hugged and seen during hard times haha. How messed up is my psyche?? 😂😂😭
Sometimes life is like that 🤷♀️😆 I had one deck that I literally bound and threw away once. It was beautiful and lovely, light and fun. I had gotten it, got sick, and kept having nightmares about it. In the middle of the night I went into my office and bound it then went outside and threw it in our large garage can and a dash of protective salt. Next day I was fine. Even seeing now makes my skin crawl! So trust your instincts! Maybe this one just won’t jive with your energy!
@@DaniMystic yeah, I totally accept that some imagery is just triggering for reasons that can't be fully explained (at least not probably without the help of a psychoanalyst 😂). I know I have some deep childhood traumas, so I'm sure there's just something hidden deep that this deck might bring up, which I know of course isn't something that should be taken lightly or explored without help. I doubt I'll ever actually pick up this deck, but I've just been seeing it a lot and I'm like, man THAT is CONFRONTING 😂
I find that deck really creepy as well - there's something about the way the characters move in those old cartoons, with their bendy limbs and exaggerated features, that falls into "uncanny valley" territory for me.
So many decks I'm interested now 😅 and I'm working on my Harry Potter deck too 😆 plus during my latest live stream we decided to put together an oracle from collectible cards which is gonna be fun! 😆

Tarot Nova was the very first deck I ever bought! 💖 I remember daringly grabbing it while in the checkout line at Barnes and Noble, my heart pounding for even considering buying such an "evil/dangerous" thing. I was in the process of leaving Evangelical Christianity at the time. 😁 Thus my Tarot journey began... I'll always keep my copy in my collection. 💖

I get cheap ones online (zeelol and zenni)😂😂These are actually blue light blockers from Target! My normal glasses are a little stronger than regular readers because my eyes strain a lot so I wear them for work on the computer or reading, But sometimes I just need to block the glare around the shop and I get too drunk with my readers on so I’m trying these blue light blocker’s for when I am working! They’ve been keeping the headaches at bay!!
The mystical medley reached me at the end of 2021 and I love it. I can so much more connect to these depictions than to the original RWS. So this is my RWS now 😂
I'm not making any culling decisions based on the past 2 years. I feel like my deck usage/preferences has been so skewed over the past two years because of dealing with Covid. I've been using the same few decks the past 2 years because that's what I've needed to cope. But I'm hoping to get back to working with more of my decks over time. To each their own, of course, and some choices may be obvious. But the past 2 years has been so different and difficult, not representative of my deck usage overall at all.
Quick question about the Hayworth Tarot. I've seen it in a couple of your videos now but I don't remember, does it come with a lwb or anything to describe the images on the cards? Like you I haven't listened to the podcast yet.
The Haindl Tarot was created/painted by artist Hermann Haindl. Only the book(s) were written by Rachel Pollack…yes 2 books. They are on my list to study.
Have you checked his Etsy shop to see if it will ship there now? Also, in a recent newsletter he mentioned possibly doing a 2nd edition this year....might want to wait and see what that one looks like? I find that some of the images in it are just so dark it's hard to see things. Maybe 2nd edition would increase the color contrast to see a few of the cards better.....
@@DaniMystic I'm having an inkling that the Mesquite Tarot might work really well with the Reclaim Oracle. But I don't have a copy of Mesquite to try. Gonna keep an eye out for if they do another edition of it.
