Thank you for this video! I talk with my friends a lot about free roaming, but sometimes I don’t know how to explain why rabbits just plain need to be free roamed. I will totally be sending them this. 😁

My bun is what I call "mostly free-roam" He lives in my home office where I spend 90% of my time awake. The room is 12'x16', so not a small space, and my work desk takes up about a 4x4 square of it. This set up has allowed him to get use to me being around, he has his own office chair for meetings and often, if I say "meeting time" he will hop into his chair and behave/sometimes takes naps. We have a baby gate that we use so the door can be open and our cats can come and go while I am there. I will never leave him unattended with the cats, even though they have never shown him anything but love. My bun is a happy loving boy and I plan to always keep it that way.

My cat and 4 buns absolutely love each other. They play and lay together. It's fun seeing them all take turns chasing each other around the house. My buns do most of the chasing. Cat sleeps in the same room and sometimes bed as the buns. I was scared at first. But 3 yrs later...not a problem.

I have had a free roam bunny since I got her spayed… before that it was a large x pen with free roam time. Thanks to channels like you and Lennon the bunny for spreading this information. I can’t imagine ever caging my bunny now!

Thank you for this video! I have two bunnies. The second I recently adopted. She lived in a cage in her own feces and fed bird food for about 3 years of her life. My male was free roam from the beginning when we got him at 7 weeks. They are bonded now and love each other and they are free roam. They have are happy and do binkies and treated like any other pet. I work in a pet shop and I do my very best every day to educate rabbit owners on the importance of free roaming as well as other things like litter training etc. There is a misconception that rabbits are kept in cages and that they smell bad. Education is key and I love Cinnabon and watching your videos. Thank you for raising awareness. Our bunnies are part of our family! 🐰❤️

My bun now is free roaming in the majority of my apartment (he’s supervised in the bedroom so we can keep out our cables & not worry) and he’s literally my best friend, sits up on the sofa with me, we share fruit etc, when I was a child I had a bunny in a hutch and I feel such guilt about that, knowing how much Loki loves his life now, my childhood bun was a happy boy and we gave him lots of attention, but it’s just not the same! The quality of life is so much better when you free roam 🥰 I hope lots more bun owners start the process after watching this video.

I completely agree with you, I only have my new baby bunny in a big cage right now for his own safety until next week when he sees the doctor and gets fixed afterwards. I don't want any problems when I'm at work with my 2 adult bunnies and the baby bunnie. My sister rescued the bunny and soon couldn't take care of it so I went ahead and took owner ship of the baby bunny, it's a struggle on me but I've been making things work for everyone!!! :) thank you for sharing with us!!!!❤

My bunny isn't allowed in the house but, when I can move out, I am SO excited to have him inside with me and to get more rabbits (we also don't have a lot of space in our garden, so we can't get another hutch). He is my whole entire world and I try and do my best for him ❤

I thoroughly agree. I adopted my girl Bebe on Australia Day 2017. We have always allowed her to free roam the house. . We have the best relationship ever! She's a massive sook. She's gentle, sweet, bossy, and absolutely loves love. She loves to give it and loves to receive it. Bebe is the best pet I have ever had. She's taught me so much. And our success has come from patience, gentleness, and lots of love. I will forever rescue rabbits. They are so precious. But I must say, it really hurts my soul to see the way some people house their bunnies.
    P. S. We love you guys! The human has taken inspiration from you and ordered some things from Bunmommakes all the way from Australia. We will tag you on Instagram when we have it.
Big big snuggles to Cinnabun from us. 🐇💞

Wonderful video! My husband & daughter just brought a full grown rabbit home the other week from a neighbor’s house - the rabbit was locked up in a cage in their garage with no companionship or interaction with anyone really so even though this is our 1st rabbit ever - we’ve been allowing it to free roam during the day & even go outside with us. The bunny seems so scared of everything but I think that’s because of the trauma of neglect & abandonment it has experienced. Just today she came up to me for petting & affection so that’s wonderful. I hope we can give her a good life. Thank you for this wonderful video - I so agree with your message ❤🙏🏻
PS - I don’t think anyone that has a rabbit and keeps it in a cage is ‘cruel’ - I just think they are doing the best they can with the information they have so it’s imperative the ‘free roam’ message is spread far & wide - thanks for doing this

I just got a bunny we adopted him from a family member who took him in after he was found and not claimed. This channel is helping. I am hoping to get him litter trained soon. He does okay with pee but poops all over. We live in a 1 bedroom but he is allowed in all rooms except bedroom and bathroom. He was given to us in a cage but we are only using that for his "room" he is never closed in there and seems to be great with the space we give him. Hopefully in the next year we can get him in a bigger place but due to the circumstances we are keeping him happy and safe free roaming in our home.

I think your videos are really helpful, I am trying to give my bunny a great life, I only had her for 2 months now. My family had to put my cat down.. His kidneys were failing.. we got a bunny but we weren't replacing him. It was to hard to handle. At that time we couldn't look at cats anymore because how much it would hurt. Your channel really helped me to train my bunny Luna. I am very thankful.

Our rabbit will definitely be free roaming. We have a pigeon, Bubbie, who is 4.5yrs and is free throughout the whole house. We spend a lot on boxes of tissues for the poop and cover out furniture but we love her. A bunny, which we got today and haven't named yet, cannot possibly make as much mess as Bubbie LOL. Plus he is just adorable!

I have to go schooling for 6 hours and thats when she has to be ina hutch, I try to give her a big room ( bunny proofed alr ) at night, when she is most active. My family memebers are against free roaming, but I try my best to give her space, affectionate, proper food ( she's 13 weeks now!! ) and everything she needs to make up for it.
She's in a hutch ( when I go school ) because she would always run out the door to the backyard.
When she gets spayed, fingers crossed she can finally move in permanently.!

I have 4 buns. They have their room and my room to free roam plus a hall between. My dilemma is...I can only seem to half litter train them. They're hay box is beside 1 litter box. Their pellet bowls are beside another litter box. Both litter boxes are totes. But they continue to potty outside the boxes throughout their room. Any tips lol. Love your channel. I advise free roam all the time. And all are spayed and neutered too.

I just totally agree with the concept of free roaming a bunny, and there's no better bun and bun mom to hear it from than you and CB! I just think it's so cruel not to put that free roaming idea into practise and for people who don't do that it makes me so angry and upset, I just cry over things like this, not just the concept of free roaming but the ways that some people treat bunnies, the care that they give is so horrible and I know there's not much we can do about this. Lorelei made a video a few months back titled '' I feel like quiting'' I'm not sure if you have seen it, but if you have not, I recommend people to watch that too, it just talks about a short experience she had in the grocery store. I free roam my bunny, the way it works is that he stays inside with me during the day, and at night I take him outside, he has two cages, those big long double story ones, and he has a large bed of hay in them and has access to nibble some grass. He is vaccinated for mozzies and he has a fly net over his cage as well! Let me know your thoughts on that🙂You have such an incredible bond with CB and I just wish my bunny would be like that, but if i ever need to pick him up he won't let m because he will run off and I have to fight him all the time, and I just don't know what to do☹

This is what I do with my bunny. I can not allow my bunny to be completely free roam in my apartment. I think a good mixture doesn't hurt. Some people make it seem like you are jailing the bunny. They need hide away space and a large dog cage can give them that especially with a hide away box. I have her food, water, and one hide away box in there. She also uses the bathroom in her litter box in there. She is very happy. Constantly doing binkies, zoomies, and rolls. She lays on the floor and stares at me which means she is content and relaxed. She has toys outside her cage and stays 90% free roam. She is friendly to everyone and doesn't cry.

Does a large crate or xpen count I'm getting two flemish baby's n don't wanna worry about they're safety when I'm gone but will let them out when I'm home n more often when they're older. I'd jus feel better if they're in a area I can keep an eye on them in they'll be in they're own room with my other pets that are in cages (snake n rat) and want them to be safe. Once they're at 8 months I'll keep the pen open it'll be they're home base

My bun is 2. She could free roam all over if she wanted. BUt She pees and poops all over the place if I let her out of her exercise pen area. Never had a bun do this. She goes in her box like a good girl as long as she is in her X pen. Let her out when I'm home and i spend half the time cleaning up after her. Totally frustrating. Oh yes, she was spayed at 5 1/2 months.

So if I’m just 12 is it okay if he is only in my room? He is free roam but only in my bedroom and see other members of my family, is this okay?

I have a bunny and I let her out of her cage everyday for around two hours or more, but when my brother goes downstairs, even if I just opened the cage, he says to put her back in. He is also very mean to her, but he doesn't hate animals, because he loves our dog. For some reason my parents don't see a problem with how they treat our rabbit. I can only wish for the day that she can roam free :(

Hi Morgan & Cinnabun! My rabbit is free roamed in one room all day every day, but he’s not great at using his litterbox. He’s almost 4, and he’s already neutered. I try as much as I can to clean and de-stink anywhere he pees, and pick up all his poops and put them in the litterbox. I clean his box every few days, but nothing is working and I’m at my wit’s end. Do you have any recommendations of where to go from here?

I hope you see this:) would there be a difference with training, free roaming etc; if my rabbit has been spayed/neutered? Is it hard, easy? Or will it be the same.

Hi! I’ve watched your video on how to litter train you bunny. I just got two bunnies about a week ago. They are 14 weeks. I set up their play pen with a giant sized litter box (had two but it was so much work cleaning both each morning), add fresh hay at least twice a day. I pick up all their poop all day long and put it into the litter box. Clean pee stains right away and spray them so they don’t smell anymore. After a week of doing this, there is zero improvement and the bunnies pee and poop anywhere in their play pen. Very little poop outside of the play pen but the daily cleanup is a lot to say the least. What else can I do to get them litter trained? Please help!! Thanks in advance!

Any tips on how I would free roam my rabbit when he's used to being outside in a hutch? Thanks. :)

What would you think about this plan. I really want a bunny but haven’t figured out how to do it in my home because I have a dog and cat.
We have a huge basement, we have unfinished rooms that we don’t use. If I got a bonded pair of rabbits and free roamed them in there own room would that be ok? Of course I would see them daily and they would have the best care. Thoughts? I’m not sure if this is possible in this time of my life but I love rabbits and I am trying to think of a way.

Could you make a video on how you deal with bunny shedding? Like clean up and stuff? My rabbits free roam in a room during the day but go in their hutch at night and then I let them roam around some more outside their room during the day too, would the hutch at night still affect them at all?

when l first got my bunny, he was free room but slnce he was a baby, he would pee on our beds. My mom wanted me to keep him on a cage AND l HATED lT!! l had to educate her about rabbits🥰 so we DlY a small playpen but It’s definitely way bigger then a cage! Now l got some money from my bday for bigger playpen!!! l had to move my bed and some things around for the playpen to fit but I’ll make it work for my bunny and us!!🐰❤️

hopefully this inspires someone to DlY a playpen lf they correctly don’t have the money for it or are waiting for it to arrive (lf order online) seriously all we used was the old parts of the cage (we destroyed it completely!) Aslo used some parts of some old coolers and put it together with some zip ties!!! It looks so pretty lt would definitely look like a $200 dollar playpen with only thing we already had😂 but its definitely tlme for a blgger one for us:)))

I am having an issue with my buns. They both are neudared but it hasn't been 2 months fully so they can't be bonded yet... anyway. They are seperated by a gate. One of my rabbits who is fully potty trained is peeing right in front of the gate. I think he is trying to tell the other bunny that this is my side stay over there. I have moved the litterbox to in front of the gate which has been working but if it gets moved even a little. He will pee on the floor. Any tips? Should I put him in a pen/ smaller area to potty train. Or will this continue till they bond. Thank you!
