Perfect Peppermint Buttercream Frosting

Not too many flavors pair better with chocolate than peppermint. Great for holiday cakes and cupcakes, especially chocolate, and all year round. Its delicious and can be piped onto all your desserts.

Ingredients
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
3 cups powdered sugar
3-4 tbls. room temperature milk

Do you use salted butter or unsalted butter ?

Typically I use unsalted butter in my baking.
