Good stuff Scott! I run zero toe on the C6Z as well to minimize wear. Front and rear camber is about the same as you are running. Running very slight toe in on the rear just to keep it stable. Seems to give good wear on the track tires (P-Zero slicks) as well as the street tires though they don't get a ton of miles.
Thanks for all your videos and tips. You're doing a great job. I just bought a '23 SS 1LE so there's only some crossover but still watch your videos for great ideas. Thank you. Also, great cause.
My F1s are only lasting 3 track days for my ZL1 1lE ,no issues on inside tread wear tho,I'm on the GM track alignment "works great." Around 700 miles on the track.
From BeastZL1: There are lots of factors that contribute to tire wear, but minimizing the front toe can help if you are cording the fronts on the inside before the tire is done. Thanks for contributing by commenting! GM track 1LE specs are in the ballpark to what I'm recommending.
I believe I'll try the zero toe" I've been running a lot at Barber this season, that place is hard on left fronts. How dose it drive down the the straight away??
Are you running any toe. in the rear?? I'm going to try the zero toe in the front. I'm on the GM track spec. I.belive I need a little more than 2.7 camber in the front for Barber.
Thanks for the video. I am only getting 2 days (less than 12 sessions) out of my fronts. I cord the inside easily. Zero toe front and rear. -3 camber front. I started using throttle steer more which is helping the fronts. I might get 2.5 days now. I am going to go more toe in in the front and see if that helps. I get about 5-6 days on the rears but I delaminated one rear in the center tread this last weekend and am concerned that throttle steer may be too hard on the rears now. running 3r's. Outside wearing soo fast, they are awesome.
If you are at zero toe in the front, but still cording insides, then look at starting tire pressures and don't go full 10/10th's until pressure comes up to 30-31 PSI minimum. It also could be the track, but less than twelve 15-minute sessions is below average. 18-24 sessions is possible.
Additional thought, is make sure you aren't pushing the car harder during understeer. Make a steering adjustment and slow the car until the front hooks back up.
The factory alignments are highly variable. They will have less than 1/2 the negative chamber you want for a track day and will have excessive outside tire wear. I'd expect -.7 to -1.0 front camber from the factory.
I would stick with the factory alignment specs with periodic checks for street driving. The original factory alignments are notoriously bad, so I would get it checked even if you don't notice accelerated tire wear.
The track alignment settings in the Performance Supplement book are good. The front tires typically wear more on the inside with the track alignment. Zero front toe helps but doesn't eliminate it. The rear should be wearing reasonably even, so check the alignment.
Thanks so much for this! As a ZLE owner, alignments are quite a dance with me. Very informative and on point!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video very informative! Oh and I also have toes, but only in the front!

Thanks! Yes, the alignment between the SS 1LE and normal ZL1 is similar.

@@hyper1le486 (BeastZL1) Fine down the straights, I was hitting 154 MPH at Road Atlanta. Tire wear continues to be even across the fronts and rears.

Hi Scott. I am doing VIR's Grand Course and Full Course late October. Would you suggest a 0 Toe Rear or '0.05 Toe In' for VIR?
Camber Front -2.9 to -3.0
Total Toe Front 0.0 (as close to zero as possible)
Camber Rear -1.95 to -2.05
*Total Toe Rear .04 to .06
Excellent information. Thank you.

Great video. Do you know what the stock ZL1 camber/toe is from the factory?

@@RacingforALS That sounds about right, just two track days and I can see the wear on the outside. Thanks for the quick response!
@@Mike-ey No problem; helping folks is why we do this.
Thx! Opinion on a good street alignment spec on a ZL1 w/stock wheels/tires? Still have the factory alignment.

My issue on my 2020 ss is all four tires are wearing out on the inside, the rest of the tire still looks great.

Can this adjustment be done on a 2019 Zl1
yes, it is valid for all 2017-2024 Camaro ZL1 cars
I don't see what the standard factory alignment is.....
Any shop with an alignment rack will have the factory alignment specs in the computer.
