@@zurdo794 You won't get the same DTF results using regular inks you have to use DTF inks only... Especially the white as there is an adhesive in the white inks for DTF

hey using An LCD can be tricky because of some of the functions you need to do like loading and cleaning and even turning on the machine. If you can do these without the screen then go ahead especially if the machine works properly. But I have not tried without a screen so I can't tell you definitively. As far as printing goes it really depends on the size/coverage of the print and but on average A 12X18 sheet should take about 7 minutes to print And with refilling the ink once again it depends on the volume you're doing but And the type of Prints you are printing because some use more inks than others. but I would say on average I would refill the cases every 1 to 1.5 weeks With moderate daily printing

For the chipless software do the refillable carts need to have the Epson original chips on them. Or whatever chip the refillable carts come with are fine?

I've never had to use an extra container myself so I wouldn't know enough be able to comfortably speak on that. But from what I have seen from others it is usually used for people who do higher volume who want to not purchase ink as much so they buy larger off brand containers and attach them to the printer
All the steps are in the video the only step that is not there is priming the ink and inserting the ink into the printer I will probably do another video with that soon

Hey hope all is well on your journey. I have another video where I am curing film. If you are doing it from home I would definitely recommend the one that I use in that video. I was using my regular convention oven for a while but the smoke and fumes that it creates is definitely not healthy. I would definitely recommend you have good air circulation where you are as well and some kind of smoke vacuum to get as much smoke as possible Also you can apply powder to the ink as soon as it's printed if you want to ( I have let mine sit as long as 8 hours at 1 point 😅) But any time in between his work for me hope that helps

@@Chillmusicdet np...and yea the balcony being outside is better than the confined space of inside. my only concern on the balcony is the wind as the ink on the film is so delicate any wind blow could make the film touch parts if the heater/oven messing it up...but hey, I you know the method all power to you 😉 as for if you still need the vacuum you would have to answer that for yourself...are you inhaling smoke while curing? if so the I would recommend. As this DTF technology is still very early and it's usage and no long term research has been concluded on the effects of inhaling this stuff. So while it may not be I have heard some stories about what is actually in the powder and let's just say it's better to be safe than sorry.

Hey I custom made the tray, as far as ink us concern I just keep them in the bottles I've never really had any issues but I do make sure I clean the machine every day

Can the conversion be done without using cleaning fluid to flush the original ink out of the printer? (So load DTF inks in new cartridges and run a few head cleans to flush new ink though the lines) Or will the old ink and DTF ink clog in the printhead if now flushed out?
@@andrewr6313 hmm...if you are going to try and using the same cartridges make sure all the solution has been drained out and the cartridges are dry before putting the ink. or just wait a couple more days and get a wnd set these machin are super sensitive and in skipping steps you are inviting trouble 🚩🚩🙃🧯🧯
I just converted my Epson SC P800 to DTF. Everything was going smooth until I started test printing. The ink starts to smear about a 1/4 of the way through printing. Not sure what settings I should be using in ACRORIP 10.5.1 Printer prints nozzle checks just fine. Any suggestions?
it smears on the sheet? it could be the tray you are using ensure it is flat, smooth and aligned to where the paper is coming out. other than that I'm not really sure
Legit question, why bother with surecolor P800 which is super expensive and it is not ink tank by default and not go with a cheaper ink printer that can be converted easily. I know this has more ink colors but do you really need all that for fabric prints? Epson L1800 seems to the sweet spot for this purpose.
@@charlottesweb6992 No you can use 13" as I was using that before and I or and I think you can go larger than 17 as well or you can use sheets it's a pretty cool machine

@@pierreracine4020 hey front of the printer the bottom right there is a ink waste tray you have to pull it out make sure you check it often if you are printing alot to ensure it does not overflow.

I noticed you forgot to do the part that you need to download the rip software or is there a way to do it without the rip software to add white ink?
So to convert basically remove the pizza cutter wheels do a print head check and print head cleaning

What is the time from when you print to you put the powder.
Anywhere from about 15 minutes to about an hour It's OK I've gone as long as 8 hours 8 hours but that's really really pushing it :)

It would be the latter So I would highly recommend flushing it unless it's a brand new printer you have

it's an acrylic mold I have a supplier via my printing contacts who produced it for me after I gave them the exact dimensions

When I removed my wheels, the metal strip they ride on slipped out and came out as well Is that bad?
