Lawrence O'Toole, A tall and lean wood chopping machine. His axe strokes are longer but precise and strong. The long strokes on the single buck are graceful. Some of those guys chop with ferocious short strokes that seem to blast the wood out of the log. This is a very interesting sport.
@Brian Smith a professional boxer can hit with up to 780 foot pounds of force. I’ve had a lot of martial arts training and know I can hit with 650. Now imagine putting even 500 foot pounds behind one of those axe swings (I’m sure it’s more) with the weight of the head and how sharp those edges are….ooooooo god imagine how fucked you would be especially with an arterial bleed!! Fuck me
Bigger spectator crowd than at the noise outdoor music at St Kilda Festival in the same spot. A think this was recorded just before the first pandemic lock down on 2020..
I don't know why I am here but I have had the best time watching this. Bloody wholesome stuff.

Depending where you live you can order one online. “Competition axe” for the search. Count a couple hundred bucks for one though...
They are called racing axes. They are expensive.
