I don't think Lelouch lies to Nunnuly( and to Suzaku about Euphie) because he wants to seem 200 IQ but because he accepts the blame. He could say "oh Euphie was an accident or I did it all for Nunnuly or the greater good," but everything ultimately happened by his actions and he accepts the consequences. It's kind of related to his saying from season 1 "The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed."
Agree! Taking responsibility even for his mistakes is what really sets him apart from other characters who are always ready to blame somebody else for the situation they're in or for their actions!
@@whovianmaverick6348 It breaks my heart to see him distancing himself from everybody else by not talking about these things but I believe it was necessary. "Both sides think they're right." Depends on how you define "right." Both Lelouch and Schneizel know that they are committing horrible atrocities, but they see it as a necessary evil. They aren't letting their morale judgements interfere with the big picture. Both of their philosophies are heavily rooted in utilitarianism.
The main diference is that Lelouch accepts his blame ("I chose this way"), while Schneizel still paints himself as just/righteous ("it needs to be done").
@@pwnorbepwned And Schnieizel is actually sacrificing millions of civilians, he actually wanted to shoot the flejas and bomb the world. At most, Lelouch only sacrificed soldiers, they are still people, but there is a moral, ethical and technical difference. The final battle of Code Geass is one the all time peaks of anime, all the fighting, tactics, strategies & betrayals, all of it leads to such a fantastic finale.
lelouch does not lie to suzaku and others because he does not want to acknowledge his mistakes. if anything it is the opposite, he is TAKING ALL THE BLAME. for example when he lied to suzaku about euphy's massacre not being an accident. he knows if he tells suzaku the truth part of the blame goes to everyone involved with geass and suzaku will just grow more hateful and will just hurt more. so he took all the blame by telling him it was all me. and suzaku himself told him to keep the lie up untill the end and that's exactly what's lelouch is doing. as for his more recent lies... I'm not sure if I can explain without potentially spoiling stuff, just keep watching, it will all make sense.
19:08 - 19:11 Telling the truth at this stage serves no purpose in the story. What you should really be asking is why Suzaku and Nina are helping Lelouch, knowing that he is responsible for what happened to Euphemia. Think of the bigger picture instead of the small things and you'll come to understand these final two episodes more.
People always thinks Super weapons leads to an arms race but with enough surveillance and how advanced technology is you can suppress any uprisings and resistance groups. If Lelouch hadn’t gotten Geass in the first episode, Kallen and her small resistance that grew into the black knights would have been stopped there. Honestly we should stop comparing everything to our real life conflict, like not every small nation can’t build a Fleija’s or make a ten tailed beast.
Yeah I was so mad at Nunnally at this point! Blindly believing Schneizel without giving your borther the benefit of the doubt after he's been taking care of you his whole life!
This is literally the most epic and emotional finale to any anime I have watched. The heights and twists this story goes through probably can never be replicated as well as they did here.
he lies to naunally because he doesnt want her to bear the weight of his actions, he doesnt want her to feel like all the death and fighting was because of her, even if it is he wants to spare her that truth. but she already believes that to be the case thus she feels it is her reaponsability to use the fleya herself, in her mind so many have already died because of her that she must take some action herself to make it right, since all she (thinks) she can do is push a button, thats what shes doing. its twisted inocent logic. also think back on everything leluche has done up to now, and remember his original goal wasnt to free japan, but to destroy britania and *create a gentle world for naunually*, then think about what hes done in the last few episdoes and see if anythings clicks in your mind about why hes doing what hes doing... ^_^
Nunally launching the F.L.E.I.J.A. is such a big shock. Because we see everything from Lelouch's pov, we're lead to see her a the perfect and innocent angel, but now we have her willingly killing countless people. Nunally isn't perfect, she isn't an angel and she isn't as innocent as we think she is, and we're forced to realize that during this battle. Seeing it all from Lelouch's point of view makes us think she's just a little girl to be protected, so we're not prepared to see her taking action and having agency in a war like this.
no one is flawless in this series, she is doing it out of her own greater good intention just like Lelouch, and they had same idea as we know later. if anything it was remarkable of her give up on her innocence and taking burden of sins to do what she believed was right in her position..
@@VivioSaf But during the season 1 when Nunally was kidnapped by V2 didn't C2 sense it and told Lelouch That she can sense that Nunally is kidnapped coz she is the reason for Living for Lelouch?

3:26 He lied to her so she doesn't blame himself. His whole plan relies on the mask of "Evil Emperor" any small fracture in that mask would've stopped the good ending of the anime
i really suggest that you do the last two episodes reactions into the same video, its just impossible to think straight after ep 24, you gotta watch the finale ahahahahah
Gonna be commenting on each video preceding the finale, please PLEASE ensure you watch the end of the finale of the JAPANESE SUB after finishing the series, as there is an extra scene at the end that wraps a plot-point I know you'll want.
