I like how Budge and Creepie has such a good friendship and how he grasped that she was raised by bugs so well. I swear i'd like to see an origin tale where we see him introduced to her family for the first time.
They showed Creepie’s origins, yet they glossed over Budge getting in on her secret. And of course she revealed it to Chris Alice that one time, yet CA found that hard to believe.
I appreciate that a lot of the ruby gloom cast is on growing up creepie. Both of those shows were from my childhood and both have stuck with me all this time.
Harry seems like a very cool guy. Not like all other heartthrobs that are portrayed as self-obsessed and snobbish. It's quite a refreshing change, really. The creators broke the mold with Harry :)
cat noir is a stereotype as well, it's just a lesser known one. his stereotype is more of an anime stereotype than a cartoon one, but miraculous is based on anime in general (especially magical girl genre), so it still counts as NOT breaking the mold. (more like acknowledging it as one and embracing it as one)
2:34 Great episode Kabillion, It’s about time the animation world itself portrayed something positive about the Gothic Subculture around here, for too long Goth’s have been negatively looked down upon as not part of the human family in the past. Goths are people just like you and me, and should be respected for what there are. Raven Mcfadden: “Conformity is so lame”. Creepie Creecher: “Yeah Lame”.
Jon Spinac yeah. It's nice to see us goths portrayed as something other than angry kids who hate our parents and write angsty poetry. Or worse. That's what I like about this show. It treats our sub culture with humor but not insulting it.
I really wish Harry's character stayed like this. A bit of an airhead but not blind to the world around him. Sorta just bums me out that they made him just as shallow as Carla and Melody...who ironically get better as the season went on.
Melody Weckel While true they do stay tried and true to the preppy-fashion and boy-obsessed characters it is nice to see them drop the "mean girls" bit too.
It is and they do at points. I originally meant my comment as a joke, because my name is Melody. I agree that they aren't always that way though and upon rewatching I discovered that her name is Melanie.

RavenEatsPie Japanese fashion is definitely better when you compare it to American fashion,at least it is in my opinion,Are you still into it or not so much anymore?
I like how the first episode pretty much tells us that while Creepie looks goth, she doesn't exactly see herself as goth, she likes to socialize, be with different people, and express how she feels.
does anyone know what the song that begins at 3:33 is? I know the show's intro is made by Samantha Lombardi but I can't find out if she made this one too

Yeah, she doesn't actually go for the evil supernatural stuff directly, although she is calm & collected whenever that happens around her, also more logical thinking when weird stuff happens, like with the haunted bagpipes instead of running she decided to actually investigate what it was
Melcat96 Why, yes it is. Its real title is "Life Lessons", and like this show's theme song, it was sung by Samantha Lombardi. She also sang the song "Smile You Can't Erase" which is played in the stories about Tarantula Boy.
weirdly cool Well, Goths didn't start out in all black, there are different types. I, myself, am a Goth/ Punk/ Metalhead. The first "Goths" were actually Punks/ Punk Rockers. They wore colorful hair like Creepie and usually named themselves stuff like Creepie and Raven and some really *odd* names. But hey, they thought that was cool back then and people still do it now. Its just that some of us now only seem to dress up for the occasion when we go out to places just for the fashion sense. That doesn't mean we all do that, sometimes we wear what we want whenever and wherever, even at home. Now, this is just my definition (as into fashion) of Goth Fashion and Goth Types, there are *plenty* more out there that you can easily search up on Google, Bing and other search engines. I think it's because he understands that it doesn't matter how you were raised or by what, just as long as you're a good person.
I'm 23 now revisiting for memories and I swear this show had a part in shaping my personality lol
Yeah
27 legit same this & Ruby gloom...
Wounder if this was where Papa Roch got his name from lolz 😅
Same😂
Mine it sparked my interest for science
Big respect that they actually mentioned “goth rock”, showing that these characters are at least actual goths! Very seldom seen.
as an goth that loves goth rock, 90s goth, etherealwave, darkwave, etc. i'm happy they actually played some type of goth music
Imagine caring some much about some fake fade for teenagers that died like 20 years ago. Only losers like goth fashion.

No dish too deep I noticed Frank's voice in Misery but who are the others?
Really? That doesn't surprise me!
No dish too deep
Omg I knew I recognized Misery and Franks voice!
I freak out hearing Frank and misery voice
Misery was my favorite growing up
Also, the cast of Growing Up Creepie also worked on Bakugan, the Total Drama series and Beyblade.
