  • So this video carries on from the last video we are back at the school where we are going to be doing some patch lining and we're going to be installing a 12 tonne manhole cover. You can also see the cctv footage of the complete drain run, if you haven't seen the before please check out the previous video.
    The original survey and quote was done back in 2021 and its currently 2024 the drain has deteriorated with time so there is still some work to do at a later date that we have quoted for.
    Please leave a like, a comment and please subscribe to help me make this channel as big as possible also if you could turn on the notification bell that would be amazing
    Thank you.

    Intresting as usual, the site i work for always seem to opt to dig up and renew rather than resin patch, madness as it is usually four times the cost. Ive only ever done resin patches a handfull of times, they make good repairs.

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  3 місяці тому

      Sometimes resin patches do a better job than digging depending on who does the dig 🤣

    I didnt think that there could b any water in the line when u installed the liner. U would think if u where doing patches u would stop people from using the drains could cause probs. Good vids keep them up.

      Iv never had a problem with it tbh because the packer inflates to 2 bar it pushes to the outside of the pipe tight and blocks anything coming down anyway

    “Someone showed me” and “I saw this once” are a big chunk of how a tradesman hones his craft. I shamelessly co-opt (steal) every good idea, shortcut and hack that makes work smoother for me
    As for your car: likely a dead coil. Most late-model cars have one per cylinder. Easy fix. Usually 8mm socket, one bolt and less than 5 minutes per cylinder. Best to replace all 4 if you’re already doing 1

      An old builder and family friend who basically sadly passed away once said to me if you see someone doing something and you have never seen it done stop and watch them you will learn something you might need in the future. My cars had new spark plugs leads coil pack and inlet manifold seals but still no luck

      @@Keep_itflowing Ouch! All that and still a misfire? Not having any more details, I’d be leaning towards the scrapyard

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  3 місяці тому +1

      thing is it would be a shame to get rid of it, its only got 80000 on it and its a good car otherwise it started after a crushed inlet manifold hose and it only started since its been fixed hoping to get it to a garage soon, worst case the other car is good apart from needing a full exhaust and a bit of body work so because they are identical spec one way or another hopefully I can get one back on the road.

    love that none of you wash the brickwork before you put the mortar on it, so it sticks, nothing like muddy brick. You're the third one now, don't see any hose to wash the dirt off before you mortared it.

    Do yourself a favour and get a table to prepare the patches on....as a drain man of 30 years my knees are failing after many years of being on the floor wetting out

      I keep a couple of folding saw horses and a half sheet of plywood, takes up very little van space and makes a huge difference.
      My own knees are shot, I get cramp if I kneel for anything more than a moment!

    What do you do during the 2 hour wait while you’re waiting for the patch liner to be ready? It must seem like it takes forever

      If theres other work to be doing i do that if not i bring my ipad and watch UA-cam videos or edit videos if iv got my laptop 🤣 they do take ages if its really hot enough you can get that time down to about 1 hour wait
