This is a fantastic merging of the verbal and the visual. I appreciated it very much. I'd love to be in touch with other Australians who view this video. I was especially interested in Margie's linking of sin/trangression/entropy and wasting time/energy in the first week. I was also very interested in the question of how we experience the new exercises in prayer with our everyday lives. Somehow the things with which we are familiar seem far away from a cosmic understanding of life. And when we go 'cosmic' in our imagination, this seems unrelated to who we are in the everyday, particularly in our current poly-crisis. Undoing a theology of the individual salvation of our souls and exclusive Christian-isms and moving to the cosmogenesis and Christogenesis is key to our future and the future of our faith. Many of the questions seem to be focused around trying to understand Teilhard's vision as it pertains to Christ Jesus. Sister Duffy poses the question of how we might share this with folks of other religious histories. I am hopeful that the answer lies in the meaning or office of the word Christ. So, one sent by God, anointed of God and again let us remember that God is Love. So, one sent by Love, anointed by Love. We must remember as Teilhard points out that we are constantly evolving, changing. Now for the first time the children of earth are united in a sense of having a shared history because of the Noosphere. Still I can no more let go of Jesus Christ as my LORD and Savior than I could breathe underwater. However, for the sake of someday seeing all humanity unified in one accord in LOVE with each other and all matter by the Holy Spirit of Truth the Spirit of Love, we must be able to let go of words that hold heretical importance and adopt a language of love that unites for the sake of the future. As our LORD made himself of no reputation and came to serve us in all humility, we must now for the sake of LIFE humble ourselves and discover a new way of sharing what it is to be like minded to Christ Jesus our LORD, without those words. Call me a heretic, but what's more important, that the love of Christ lives on or that the love of Christ is known in word as the love of Christ? Is it blasphemy that the fruit of the Holy Spirit of Truth be nurtured into humanity without naming it as the fruit of our LORD'S Holy Spirit of Truth? For all the gratitude I have to the church for helping me grow in my relationship with Christ Jesus, is it not how we live in relationship to all that gives the former any sense of being. I don't know the answers, but I trust that the same Spirit that brought us to this point will rise up in the youths of this world to help humanity evolve into the Christic society and beings Teilhard and many of us believe humanity is capable of. Even if certain terminology is lost, the fruit of the Spirit will be present. Thank you for sharing this presentation. I believe it explains Teilhard's views quite well despite our desire and his to cling to historical traditions. May Jesus' Holy Spirit of Truth shine a light on the way forward. 🙏☀ ☯ 🦋
