I started playing clash of clans about 3 months ago and today i got to town hall 10(i was a fully maxed town hall 9),and i gotta say the game is very F2P friendly atleast for these lower town halls,and they keep on doing events like the sneaky goblin event that just happend that boost player progression alot

Coc is f2p at all townhall It's just pay 2 progress fast at higher townhall but the new update just might tackle that issue too coz the walls were the big obstacle and with the new looting %age from collectors and storages being increased it will slightly pull back from pay 2 progress
i just returned a few weeks ago after like 4-5 year break. this game is refreshing and the boosts and stuff help. not many people have time for 12 year games but with the season passes and the return boosts and town hall upgrade boosts and the consistent updates for town hall upgrades and clan activities. I'm fully back into this game.

I left COC around 2022. The game was known for simplicity and strategy, now slowly it is becoming so much complicated and kind of feels like a RPG game.
That's why the complexity is drip fed becoming more complex each town hall. If TH16 was just as complex as TH8 the game would be dead. It is natural for any game to become more complex as you progress to higher levels.
The simplicity is still there. You don’t really need complex strategies until like th11. And by then you might aswell start actually learning how to get good at the game since you’ve invested so much time into it. And when you get that deep into the game, the gameplay starts becoming really slow and these added events and villages add a new spark to it

Hero equipment has given so much more life to the game. Gave people way more to do and reasons to War/attack more. Added more strategy and options for offense. Like the game WAY more now. Just need to slow down on the nerfs.

Supercell is better than it was in the past but being better also comes with few drawbacks like how unfair the equipments would be for new players. But now it looks like sc is trying to give new players also a chance to get the equipments for free and hope they'll bring these types of event in the future too. The decorations and scenery being overpriced can also be a thing but at the end of the day it's just cosmetic and doesn't affect the game that much.

Clash of clan's team is always finding ways to give players FREE resources. They're introducing chests similar to starr drops form brawl stars to give more players rewards by just playing normally. We have so many ways to get free resources and rewards, basically giving us more ways to get free gems as well. Clash is only evolving and i hope it keeps updating.
also when they cut upgrade times by a ton which got me back in. I was going insane waiting a week for a mere cannon to level up and now it takes less than a day!
I start to play coc in 2014 and max th you can upgrade was level 10, I heard it was level 8 before that. I always adore people with th10 that time and be like wow must be hard to achieve that😂...everything was lava That was one of the best time because after school me and my friend will prepare strategy for war. Everyone were very serious like it was a real business, we fight, we argue, we laugh and all. Soon later, I finished my school and everyone got buzy with their lives like work...go to college etc. After that, we rarely met again and the 20 people in the clan were all silent. I left it in 2015 but then last week I opened it back again and read the last clan chat was 3353 days ago😢 Good ol days, time flew so fast man. Some of my friends already have 3 kids. So cherished these times and appreciate those you love because you'll never get the same chance it again.

2 weeks ago I convinced my 8 friends whom I used to play with during 2016-2019 to comeback again and start a clan. We nine people have nearly 14 accounts. I was the only one who continued with little breaks. But now we all play together having a lvl 4 clan with a 10 war win streak. Also many players have started joining clans after the new update. The only bad thing I feel is too many Townhalls, many players are rushing due to all good things on high TH but it is the harming game. Also Tencent the Chinese company who had majority share of supercell is making not just COC but every game super expensive and pay-to-win. Clash Royale is nearly dead but I don't want Clash of Clans to die. Clash On🏴🖤
Downloaded the game in 2015 and stopped playing it for 3 years from 2019-2022. After restarting I had lots of things to do there. I upgraded my townhall to the max level 2 weeks ago and take my time to max everything else out. I have the fear that it's getting less interesting when you are done with everything, because then it's just aiming for trophies. Had the same thing with the builders base. Since there is everything done I just grab the jewels and remove the trees. I'm just attacking if the clan games are active. But overall coc has done many things right in the last time.
I honestly quit because the active grind was horrendous, dozens of battles a day for minimal loot. I even did mass Sneaky Goblins and still didn't feel rewarded enough. Burnt out and lost skill just lead me to abandoning a game I enjoyed until it felt P2W but these updates look good for progression.
The reason is simple, I started playing again a couple months ago out of boredom and I got a bunch of people to play with me. I'm already getting bored so expect a drop soon.
I lost my main id in 2020 which I was playing since 2017, and i dropped the game as at higher townhalls it felt repetitive. But now in 2024 i installed the game again and i have the same love for the game i had in 2017. Its only been 3 days starting it again but im all for it ❤️❤️

i started playing in march from a brand new village after like 6/7 years. I was surprised from how easier it is to upgrade. I remember getting to th9 being a crazy grind for me. Now I went from 0 to th12 (not rushed, i wait to max every building before upgrading th) and i only spent like 10€ in total.

I re-installed the game after multiple years of not playing. It used to be upgrading building would take so many days and resources. Now the max upgrade time im getting is only 2 days. This makes the game a lot more fun to play daily
Well all things are cool but one thing is missing that below townhall 7 players can't unlock the hero skin and main equipment 😢 that is bad for below townhall players.😅
I quit Clash in 2020 at TH12 and came back last month and I'm loving it every second of the game, the clan capital is the best addition ever! But it sucks that they made the Treasure Hunt a temporary event, it should be like the Star Bonus
in my opinion, what really keep player playing is clan wars(also for me) there are tones of stratgegy you can use on different type of base you are attacking .

This is great and all, but let me use my heroes while they are upgrading.
As a med school student at John Hopkins SoM, my new friend in class got me back into the game after about 5 years lol.
also when they cut upgrade times by a ton which got me back in. I was going insane waiting a week for a mere cannon to level up and now it takes less than a day!
I start to play coc in 2014 and max th you can upgrade was level 10, I heard it was level 8 before that. I always adore people with th10 that time and be like wow must be hard to achieve that😂...everything was lava
That was one of the best time because after school me and my friend will prepare strategy for war. Everyone were very serious like it was a real business, we fight, we argue, we laugh and all. Soon later, I finished my school and everyone got buzy with their lives like work...go to college etc.
After that, we rarely met again and the 20 people in the clan were all silent. I left it in 2015 but then last week I opened it back again and read the last clan chat was 3353 days ago😢
Good ol days, time flew so fast man. Some of my friends already have 3 kids. So cherished these times and appreciate those you love because you'll never get the same chance it again.

2 weeks ago I convinced my 8 friends whom I used to play with during 2016-2019 to comeback again and start a clan. We nine people have nearly 14 accounts. I was the only one who continued with little breaks. But now we all play together having a lvl 4 clan with a 10 war win streak. Also many players have started joining clans after the new update. The only bad thing I feel is too many Townhalls, many players are rushing due to all good things on high TH but it is the harming game. Also Tencent the Chinese company who had majority share of supercell is making not just COC but every game super expensive and pay-to-win. Clash Royale is nearly dead but I don't want Clash of Clans to die. Clash On🏴🖤

Downloaded the game in 2015 and stopped playing it for 3 years from 2019-2022.
After restarting I had lots of things to do there.
I upgraded my townhall to the max level 2 weeks ago and take my time to max everything else out.
I have the fear that it's getting less interesting when you are done with everything, because then it's just aiming for trophies.
Had the same thing with the builders base. Since there is everything done I just grab the jewels and remove the trees. I'm just attacking if the clan games are active.
But overall coc has done many things right in the last time.
I honestly quit because the active grind was horrendous, dozens of battles a day for minimal loot. I even did mass Sneaky Goblins and still didn't feel rewarded enough. Burnt out and lost skill just lead me to abandoning a game I enjoyed until it felt P2W but these updates look good for progression.
Ive been playing for twelve years and honestly i took a seven year hiatus. Ever sice the updates ive come back and ive been playing every day.
Coc is not a game its our emotion.❤
The reason is simple, I started playing again a couple months ago out of boredom and I got a bunch of people to play with me. I'm already getting bored so expect a drop soon.
I lost my main id in 2020 which I was playing since 2017, and i dropped the game as at higher townhalls it felt repetitive. But now in 2024 i installed the game again and i have the same love for the game i had in 2017. Its only been 3 days starting it again but im all for it ❤️❤️
5:18 If really they planned to put the skin in the GP anyway it's actually brilliant; they are both testing the waters to see what they can get away with and they also show to the community that they listen, it's a win-win.
i started playing in march from a brand new village after like 6/7 years. I was surprised from how easier it is to upgrade. I remember getting to th9 being a crazy grind for me. Now I went from 0 to th12 (not rushed, i wait to max every building before upgrading th) and i only spent like 10€ in total.

Finally someone said it it’s understandable for a game to have pay to win do to fact that you need money to pay creators to create to content new designs and so on even then playing with out paying to win still moving quicker then ever
I re-installed the game after multiple years of not playing. It used to be upgrading building would take so many days and resources. Now the max upgrade time im getting is only 2 days. This makes the game a lot more fun to play daily
Well all things are cool but one thing is missing that below townhall 7 players can't unlock the hero skin and main equipment 😢 that is bad for below townhall players.😅

I quit Clash in 2020 at TH12 and came back last month and I'm loving it every second of the game, the clan capital is the best addition ever! But it sucks that they made the Treasure Hunt a temporary event, it should be like the Star Bonus
in my opinion, what really keep player playing is clan wars(also for me) there are tones of stratgegy you can use on different type of base you are attacking .
Idk what it was but I just returned after not playing in 4-5 years and I started back in 204
all that's missing now is a clan capital update

I’ve been playing for months straight and even starting to watch clash of clans videos I’m part of a super active clan that just brings a different fun to it as well
I just got back on after 5+ years of being away. I like it again! When I left it was only up to TH12. Crazy.
