Absolutely amazing video! Truly high quality and very valuable information. Thanks! 🙏
Love you man ♥ 😍 your sense of humour makes me smile more than low budget comedy movies
Dr. Mike we love you !
Screw fancy editing. This is all I need.
Very informative and simple to understand. Thanks Doc.
Ill admit i knew almost all this info before watching, but you break it down so well and make it simple to understand. The hydration part was a plus too, i struggled with that for years. Awesome channel as well
Thanks for the obscenely, informative, information.
Awesome video!! Supplements are a very small piece of the pie when it comes to making gains, the only time supplements should be used is to cover any deficiencies in the diet (calories, proteins and/or micro-nutrients)
Keep em coming Dr. Mike
I’m really glad you addressed the mass gainers. I’ve had positive results using it. As much as people downplay mass gainers if you’re a hardgainer like me and have trouble taking in a lot of food they work as advertised.
Yeah, I agree here. It seems like everyone else always trashes mass gainers. I would definitely be interested in learning which mass gainers would get the stamp of approval from Mike! If anyone has a link or any information on ones he has mentioned and/or recommended, I would appreciate the share!
@@c0smic.Cha0s I'm sure they work great in the short term. But honestly, the major downside is the health risks that come with consuming the 'too good to be true' stuff like mass gainers on the daily. Calories from maltodextrin specifically can increase the risk of several digestive cancers and that's just one of a paragraph of other ingredients that I have no idea what are going to do to me good or bad.
I need that shirt! Also thanks RP, awesome lecture!

I drink eggwhites for my protein powder. Just plain eggwhites from the jug. Simple quick and doesnt interfere with my post workout meal. Also slam spinach like its going out of style.
Thank you Sir for your honest analysis.
This reminds be that I forgot to take my creatine 😂😂😂

my secret supplement- shitload of dark colorful organic veggies in a vitamix. really appreciate your work Dr. Mike, no bs.
What veggies do you use?Do you add fruit or artificial sweetener to make this thing taste somewhat better?
Following
@@MrMioy im gonna give you mine, little bit if frozen spinach, broccoli, kale, blueberries,a carrot, 5 brazil nuts, 20g ginger, 2tbsp chia seeds, 2tbsp linseeds, some cinnamon and like 4 heaping tbsp of vegan protein powder(i like peach and dark chocolate flavour). Add enough water so its not too thick. Usually ends up filling my 1,5 liter blender but well worth it! Drink it first thing in the morning with my breakfast and makes me feel great! Oh and use vegan protein powder like a pea based one cause it doesnt work with whey trust me lol
Did someone say Vitamix 🤔
Coach greg: "wattttt" 🤣
@@MrMioy veg: lacinato kale, beets (w the greens), red chard, parsley, collard greens, maybe carrots. fruit: bananas and a whole lime w peel, and some frozen fruit of choice. dont really need sweetener with 2 or 3 bananas and the lime
you are very helpful

Unfortunately, creatine mono is no longer the cheap, cost effective powder it used to be. Maybe a few outlier brands have it for bulk really cheap, but unless you're getting drums of it, it's almost the same price as creatine hcl now.
Really? i place near me sells a 400g tub for like 20 bucks
@@Vallack Used to be like half that price.
i got 200 servings for $30. 1kg
@@notsaying What brand? That used to go for around $20 at a bulk seller i use and now it's 53.
@@VegetaPrinceOfSaiyans the brand I use to buy increased their price from like $30 something to $55 within a few months. its insane. the container wasn't even big either.
Im picturing that meme from American Psycho where he has his headphones on. This is my jam.
6:40 Ive been using Creatine KRE ALKALYN and Im loving it. It gives you all the creatine benefits without any side effects. Personally, with monohydrate I'd get very muscle cramps, bloating etc.
mass gainer is great cuz of the extra protein in it also
I wouldn’t recommend mass gainer powders just make your own mass gainer buy using whole milk oats and peanut butter
When i was young I grew like craz,y on Joe weiders mega mass..Incredible gains
Bruh back in the days “ pop tarts and a protein shake post workouts “ was the shit and made awesome gains and recovery . “ if real food wasent there or prepared at the time “ that’s what I’d eat . But I was also on Test , Tren , EQ , Anavar and Proviron lmao . So I could get away with eating shit once in a while
I would add that consuming more sodium doesn’t increase weight because you get more thirsty, it causes your body to retain more water so that it has the proper concentration of electrolytes. When you consume salt, osmoreceptors in the hypothalamus sense that there is too high of a sodium concentration, which stimulates ADH secretion. ADH then causes your kidneys to absorb more water so you don’t pee it out. This is why we tell patients with peripheral edema and hypertension to reduce salt intake
Interesting, thanks for sharing
Interesting for sure

Uhhhhh
"25-30 mgs" you got It chief!
Now I kinda want Pre-workout Psycho Joker Edition
You gotta eat right if you want to build muscle. That's why I got myself the personalized Agoge diet and have amazing results.
You know what's really messed up? My friends that quit drinking beer and stopped eating lots of salt started getting super bad wrinkles due to their tissue not being slightly bloated from the salt, alchohol and water combination. They even commented on it online but they say the health benefits outweigh the visual effects lol. To each their own! 🍻 Cheers! Lol.
How about the relation of salt intake and performance? Is it something to think about?
From my (not expert) experience, it has an effect if you are low on sodium.
Is there any scientific basis for drinking ionized water? Would love you to do a deep dive on companies like Kangen.
Where did you get your t-shirt? Love it 😃😃🤪

I like that squat shirt. Were can I get one?

2:34 - "When you get home.. take a shower you dirty bastard." You caught me, Mike..
Dr. Mike, do you have an opinion on Ecdysterone and Turkesterone?
This! It won't make you SWOLE since all supplements that magically builds muscle are illegal. It'll just help as much as creatine for example :)
There's zero research to indicate it will help AT ALL, and much less to creatine levels (which is the best of the best of supplements). Let's not spread misinformation, alright? :)
that t shirt is hilarious
What about fish oils or omega fats do they help/ have an effect for strength or muscle building?
link for the psycho joker preworkout please
Hey Mike Instead of having carb powders to get in more calories could one just drink a coke or Pepsi? I mean it's all carbs at the end of the day right? PS I use Metformin and am not natural if that makes any difference (fasting glucose was at 65, im 108 kilos)
Dr Mike please give us some mobility tips for the hips. Your t-shirt is taunting us :(
I. Want. That. Shirt.
Dr Mike the macros for muscle gain is the same with cutting????
Do foods that are high in creatine also work as good as powder form? 🙏 thank you
I'm crying at "psycho joker edition" 😂
Talk about genetic limitations in a future video.
Love that “migs” slip lol
What does migs mean?
@@alexk8599 milligrams. Usually used when describing steroid cycles by some people like Seth feroce haha and perhaps some people I know. Like “I’m taking 500 migs or test and 400 tren and I might throw in about 50 migs if anadrol soon”
@@brandonyoung4910 Ah okay gotcha. Figured it had to be something to do with that. Thanks for the info.

Can you imagine some kid in the locker room at the gym "hey big man... guess what?? I'm on creatine."
Hopefully this reaches Dr. Mike. I studied kinesiology but never finished and want to get my PT cert. I train and live RP Full ROM like a religion! So what cert would you recommend that won’t make me cringe or disagree overly with their approach. Either way I need that damn piece of paper! Please help a bro?! Shalom
I have a feeling posting a message in a 2 year old video isn't the best way to get his attention
where can i find the research papers for this stuff?
Wouldn’t creatine all year round be beneficial? I haven’t stopped taking creatine for over a decade.
If you had to choose between whey and creatine, which one would you?
Creatine; hard to get a loading dose from natural foods but protein is everywhere
There is no chance I can eat enough without drinks I even struggle to gwt it all in with drinks
Cholesterol in protein supplements average between 15% - 25% rda
is this considered high?
Is there ever a reason to stop taking creatine?
Dam I want a t-shirt like yours 😅
Most of Dr. Mike’s newer shirts are made by RP’s sibling company, Full ROM Apparel.
Could you please go over your growth hormone routine ? I really want to grow horns like you.
Should I stop taking creatine while I’m cutting??
Is there an recommendation for salt intake? Depending bodyweight deficit or bulk?
Judging from Dr. Mike’s other videos, the absolute amount doesn’t matter for most people*, you may just want to keep it steady so the water weight fluctuations don’t mask your actual gain or loss.
* about 10% of people are salt sensitive, meaning higher levels of sodium elevate their blood pressure. They (and people with less than ideal kidney function) should keep sodium to a minimum for health reasons. For the rest of us, the sodium we ingest today is excreted tomorrow, so it’s not a concern.
Slam 50mgs of dbol oops I mean carbs 🤣🤣🤣
