Akane the drummer was friends with both MISA the bassist and Kanami the lead guitarist and had played with both in various projects before they all joined BAND-MAID...Hence why they work so well together...Long May They Reign!👑
So glad I found your channel! Thank you for reacting to the world's greatest proper rock and roll band currently touring! If one cannot embrace hyperbole when speaking about BandMaid then it is indeed a dreary world. All hail the mighty Miku Kobato who founded the band, secondsry vocalist, chief lyricist, tireless promoter and Mistress of Ceremonies and rhythm guitarist! And all this while wesring heels. She's a steel tank covered in cotton candy! Her will shall be done. A force of nature who facilitated "a miracle" band. New sub here!
This was from a online concert during the lockdowns, and the band wanted to still deliver for their fans. A great pairing of songs, showing the broad range of these amazing ladies!
I think the first Band-Maid song I heard was *"Dice"* and the rhythm section immediately stood out to me. I followed up with *"Blooming"* and *"Choose Me"* and yup, that confirmed it. The first four completely self-written songs were *"Alone," "YOLO," "Unfair Game,"* and *"Matchless Gum."* Those are all suggestions, by the way. There are videos for the first five, the last two are on their youtube channel under the "Releases" tab in the "YOLO" playlist. They are all worth seeking out.
Great reaction and yes, MISA is a miracle. She also has a magic technique where she can play with a pick, then tuck it into her index finger and start slapping and popping if needed. It's really hard to see, but if you watch carefully in the MV "ONSET LIVE", she has a solo section and near the end she does the pick flip.
Yeah you couldn’t have made a better decision than doing both these songs together back to back. I enjoy Saiki’s voice as well and the harmonies with Ms Miku are superb. I think Manners really lets the rhythm section shine, black hole more Akane then Misa. Check out “ Warning” and “ Play”.
It’s not hyperbolic to compare the duo of Akane and MISA with Neil and Geddy. In the way they are in perfect sync while playing a mind numbing amount of notes; yet they create a soundscape that makes perfect sense for the song
WARNING! (maybe your next song?) It's bad MANNERS to stop listening to Band-Maid because you'll feel starved for musical excellence and joy and fall into a BLACK HOLE of emptiness... probably! 😵 Thx, PoH!
You should really use their official YT channel whenever possible - www.youtube.com/@BANDMAID/featured - they're very cool with reactors, knowing they're a great way of spreading the word and producing MAIDIACS, and you WON'T get a strike (good manners require you putting a like to their site, and the track URL in a prominent position. Plus they get the revenue from the views, not some other party profiting from their work. Plus, you have the option of subtitles there.

Wayne did you see that shit? When Kanami and Misa both do that double solo in manners our good friend about lost it!
@@themcusbleedingedge Yep!

Manners is my favorite 'Misa on lead bass' song.
Our rock never dies ever forever.
You should check out "Band-Maid Hate lollapalooza."
Holy fuck bro! Manners ate you up! lol. I subbed.
You don't have to understand the language to enjoy the lyrics (vocal style) and the melody. Great reaction.

How many bands can give you a true bluesy hard rock banger followed up by a punk-metal prog banger?
