This was great to watch. I've been using the Turtle Wax "To The Max Wax" for 2 years now. It does so well. I maintain it with their flex wax and it just holds up so well. After 8 months, I cleared off the paint, light polish to clear some embedded containments, and re applied. I have found it easier to remove on a humid day. The wet rag really did it's job and it buffed ever so nicely on a warmer humid day.
Just thought I'd throw in an interesting curveball here. If the test was based on product performance alone, ignoring costs, the results are as follows... 1, Autofinesse 2, Turtlewax 3, Jescar 4, Meguiars 5, Collenite 6, Bilt Hamber & Adams 7, Chemical Guys & Fusso F7 8, Autoglym
I'm glad the Turtle Wax did well. I took a punt on it in Halfrauds a few months back when I had some vouchers to use up. Based on my own experience vs other sealants I've used, I'd score it higher for application cos it's less likely to smear than others (more noticeable on black paint) and seems a lot more forgiving. I agree with the durability tho. Best product I've ever used in terms of still beading several weeks after being washed and it even keeps the car cleaner for longer as a lot of the dirt washes off when it rains. Expensive but worth it...
I applied the Turtle Wax product a couple of weeks ago and it went on great and is still producing a great finish. I topped it with the Turtle Wax Pure Shine for a show last weekend and the results were amazing. I was impressed that it allowed the warm tone of my Modena Yellow paint to come through and didn't 'cool' it down like some ceramic products do. Also, it rained a couple of days after applying the To The Max Wax and the beading was exceptional.
Great to see a big comparison Jon - it’s a big part of the channel’s appeal. You could tell there was a lot of info to get across so well done, good overlay shots. Surprised there wasn’t marks for the bottles….? Not really a user of liquid waxes but of those i’d go Bilt Hamber - EZ Nardo cream wax is a top top product. Not durable but lovely to apply and buff with great beadage 👌
Another great presentation, Jon. The sealant I've been using is Optimun Opti-Seal. Once I figured out that I needed to let the majority of the product flash away before leveling, it made a huge difference in performance. I had been very disappointed in it for years before I figured it out! 😆 I applied Opti-Seal to my trunk lid back in late May of 2022, and it's still hanging on, surprisingly. I made a video on my "Dan Chapa" channel of its then current performance back in September.

Mcguires ceramic pro is my go to in our cold rainy climate of the Pacific Northwest. Some of the products here are great but they don't meet my requirements. Chem Guys ceramic wash and M27 is my go to - thanks for the great video.

I have experience with two, the Jescar and Collinite. Glad my predictions were close. I knew, with a fair amount of confidence that Jescar would fair well if not best in durability. It lasted 6 months for me with minimal care through last winter season. I also knew the Collinute would fair bad in application. There are nearly endless threads out there on forums with subject lines like "how to apply Collinite" then a few lines below that "how to apply collonite waxes". You can read both, and see two people with two completely different experiences and tips. Sometumes contradicting one another. I will say this. The end result is worth the struggle. But never before have I worked with products that are influenced by weather as much as Collinite. Humidity means leaving it on uncomfortably long sometimes and you get nervous because you remember the last time you used it, it was cooler and dryer, and if you left it on that long then you would be cursing yourself with the removal. Be careful with their products, but once you figure it out, well, I can see why it has been around as long as it has been and hasn't changed much. It works. And it works well.
I left that Hydra wax in the car a couple of nights ago, the next morning I went to use it it was mostly solid inside. Definitely a temperature sensitive product. Needs to be put in hot water after that! Also much better on a machine application as it is quite thick.

Hey Man, great video as always! I'm voting for the Collinite double coat, which isn't on this list and it is INDEED a paste😳 That way you can hunt me down.... we can finally do a video together💯✌️...😁. I have used a couple of Auto Finesse products, great stuff! I especially liked their Pinup girl air fresheners... Classic! Anywho, I can't argue with your top 5 at all. I have ALWAYS told people that are asking me what to use, "you can't go wrong with the Turtle 🐢"... For years all I used was Jescar Powerlock plus... Awesome stuff... lately, I'm a HUGE fan of Collinte... Great Value, Great Company! Anyway, now I'm just rambling, take it easy Jon! Take care!
Been waiting for this video for ages. Mainly to see what you thought on F7 - never been more disappointed with a product especially being Fusso. Felt like it lasted about a month and cause it’s so liquid I thought it was more of a pain to apply then the usual Fusso coat
Alright Jon do you have a video on best 1 year "nano ceramics"? If not maybe a good feature? I've used many of these product and like you say, non really give the long term results. I more than often apply a wax over these sealants but sometimes think is it really putting a seal on the paintwork???
I am planning to wipe car with high alkaline shampoo, wax off product and a degreaser for clean paintwork for another EGP. If I use this strong wipe products should I still use Super Resin Polish before EGP? (My paintwork is 7 yo Lexus, paintwork has no problems as for now). I will use resin polish for reapply, but should I use it for clean paintwork? Is EGP mix of sealant and wax or it is liquid wax?
I forgot to add in my other comment, you should give Collinite 476 a try. I think it has even better gloss and definitely more durable. Also, I prefer the paste wax out of the can. Call me old fashion haha.
What I have to say in the comments... not much really... if you want some sort of product and don't know what to choose, then you simply go to forensic experts on detailing and buy the product that wins, or that ticks one of your boxes... literally it is that easy. Your videos just makes it so easy to choose what to buy I almost feel like I am cheating!
@@ForensicDetailing And I don't mean it light heartedly. I started detailing like 8 years ago and it was hard... I would spend hours even days researching products... didn't make many mistakes in the end, but it took very long time for sure... now I watch 10 min video and all the answers I may have had are answered! As well even back then there were detailing videos, but key issue is that all videos are basically "here is scratched and dirty car, here is the products I have used (if you lucky), here is the same car now shiny"... no explanation of why those products were used, or whenever they better than other products. And I am detailing for myself, I don't make money out of it, so I simply can't buy 10 products to sample. What I can do... I can watch your video, apply some knowledge from products I have used in the past to put it in context and I right away know which one I will pick. Honestly this is gold!
Just coming tobsay that nice video as always so thanks. Maybe someday jump to nordics and test swedish macserien products and finnish innokem, stardust and korrek products? Greetings from Finland :)

@@ForensicDetailing you're right, Menzerna powerlock was the exact same as the jescar. The newer one is made by Jescar themselves, menzerna probably could'nt make it because of the very strict guidlines for chemical products.

Take care!
collenite stuff tends to be really solid doesnt it. thank you my friend
@@ForensicDetailing yes sir. Love the channel brother!
Been waiting for this video for ages. Mainly to see what you thought on F7 - never been more disappointed with a product especially being Fusso. Felt like it lasted about a month and cause it’s so liquid I thought it was more of a pain to apply then the usual Fusso coat
I have missed these videos ❤
Alright Jon do you have a video on best 1 year "nano ceramics"? If not maybe a good feature? I've used many of these product and like you say, non really give the long term results. I more than often apply a wax over these sealants but sometimes think is it really putting a seal on the paintwork???
It's really hard to do this sort if video properly mate
Missionary position , aggressive style ......... nice 😉👌
Use srp if paint is faded or a bit hazy m8. If 0aint is good and contamination free. Then egp it m8
I forgot to add in my other comment, you should give Collinite 476 a try. I think it has even better gloss and definitely more durable. Also, I prefer the paste wax out of the can. Call me old fashion haha.
No tins in this one
What I have to say in the comments... not much really... if you want some sort of product and don't know what to choose, then you simply go to forensic experts on detailing and buy the product that wins, or that ticks one of your boxes... literally it is that easy. Your videos just makes it so easy to choose what to buy I almost feel like I am cheating!
that you mate, honestly this means a lot to me, because thats the exact reasons we do these comparisons.
Love Chemical Brothers products but again The prices!!!
Why not try Autobrite Banana wax? My only thought now it’s in Halfords it’s more ready available to uk based customers.
could have been good although I did consult patreons and it was not mentioned i think
@@ForensicDetailing Not to worry. Thank you for the reply👍🏻
Super easy to use but not durable at all
I learned a lot. Thank you.
The Jescar UL+ is so durable that I’m having the hardest time washing it off my wax applicator pad 😂
is Autofinesse Graphene + fusso 12 months Wax a good mix ?
No one or other m8
What experience have you had with alien magic boss, just purchased a bottle and not used it as yet,so just looking for a review
Not much m8 sorry
Just coming tobsay that nice video as always so thanks. Maybe someday jump to nordics and test swedish macserien products and finnish innokem, stardust and korrek products? Greetings from Finland :)
Will try freind
P.S. the surface must be properly prepared nothing on the surface other than the paint and clear coat.
Jon I'm looking for advice on applying BH Double Speed Wax in cold weather around 4 degrees?
put it on thin and buff it mate. use the cleanser fluid or cleanser polish first for better results.
Hi Jon, one I love in this Category is a must try and I love is Menzerna Power lock
So so slick easy on and Off and ticks all the boxes my favourite
From Steve McMahon
Geeky detail reviews
I think its similiar to jescar powerlock, ultralock is supposed to be the newer better thing but im not 100% sure.
@@ForensicDetailing you're right, Menzerna powerlock was the exact same as the jescar. The newer one is made by Jescar themselves, menzerna probably could'nt make it because of the very strict guidlines for chemical products.
Your chemical guys hydro slick must be out of date or your not applying it properly, i love using it. It is slightly more difficult to buff off especially on black cars but the cloths just fall off the panels super slick
was this filmed a year ago? i thought you just shaved all your hair off?
summer mate :)
How did you get hold of the Jescar Ultralock?
amazon but cant see it there now
@@ForensicDetailing cheers I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
Adams has newer ceramic and graphene sealants that are probably more competitive.
Yes for sure
Thanks
Something weird going on with this video I think. I’ve been looking out for it for a while, turns out it was 4months ago - also only 128 views, strange.
It's not fully published how did you get notified of it?
@@ForensicDetailing ah, that’ll be why. I wasn’t notified, but thought I’d missed it after you said you were doing it in other vids. It is available via ‘Playlists’ > ‘BEST PRODUCT VIDEOS’, down the bottom of that list.
Koch Chemie SO02 imcomparable
What do you mean?
thats a spray sealant... Im coming to get you!!!!!
Am I the only one who read SUCK instead of SLICK? 😆
It’s not durability, it’s chemical resistance! It’s not the same thing. Please don’t make the mistake of saying these are the same thing!
Covered in video and covered thousands of times long before anyone else was talking about it.
Have you ever tested anything by Stjarnagloss or whatever his name is? Bloke annoys the buggery out of me and would love to see his products put into a test to see if he can put his money where his (overly chirpy) mouth is..
only the class cleaner but I want to try more mate their stuff looks really good and you need a bit of character when your banging the pots and pans mate thats the name of the game.
At least he's positive.
I can't watch obsessed garage for their miserable, snarky figurehead...
Stjarnagloss is the same company as Dodo juice.
@@camwinstone so mostly bright coloured packaging to appeal to toddlers and not much in the way of decent products? 🤣
@@danlc95 I just figure that if you have decent products they sell themselves, without the need for “punk IPA” style packaging and an overly animated figurehead..🤷🏻♂️
Question. You always open with “Welcome back to the Forensics Detail channel” but your channel is Forensic, not the plural Forensics. Is this just an old joke I missed at some point? Thx !
Jon's just saying welcome back. Not sure why that's a big deal.
@@alastairtreymaine1964 it’s not a big deal. Just wondering about the plural thing.
Maybe he means the Forensic dissection he does while reviewing the many and varied reviews and comparison (more than one at a time) he does so so well and I am sure you didn't mean it in a pedantic manner. Keep up the amazing work John best channel in the UK by a mile buddy.
:) ive spoken about this before. its just me being dumb :)
@@ForensicDetailing
I get it now. Your channel is FORENSIC but you are discussing the FORENSICS of detailing. I’m on board with it! Keep it up!
4month old comments wtf😂
trickle feed :)
How can the winner be a snide beader that doesn't make sense
Quit shaking the bottle so I can read it. :)
THOW SHALL NOT PASSSS........... 🖕Haha class Jon
But....none of them are as good as BSD.
Would be interesting to know the true power of BSD🙂
With the recession I’m too poor to even wash my car let alone detailing
the detail comes for your passion to improve the car not the product m8 friend.
Lol maybe lay off the gym memberships and protein shakes for a little bit
@@tier1detailinglol😂
Literally the only thing you ever post
@@tier1detailing - Yep that too. He also should start watching the other Forensic uploads. All the effort is done to educate people!
Good quality products don't have to cost a leg. Cheers.
One of my go to products over the years is sonax bsd, I'm thinking of layering it with auto finesse graphene, would it be best putting the auto finesse down 1st
Appreciate some advice cheers
Af first m8 yes
Another cracking video, you aren't half costing me some money 😧😆😆
