Man when I look back on this game, it's one of the best games during the regular season. It also ended up being a great game. The Harbaugh-Kaepernick lead 49ers at their peak traveling to the east coast to play against Belichick and Brady's Patriots who are always a top team. A potential super bowl preview matchup that season. Two teams with big fanbases. Game being played on Sunday night football with the best commentators. This game delivered big time.
+Celestial Scripture Well with the clock ticking, running it wouldvr done them no good.. and there was really great coverage + a no call hold. But oh well. It wasn't meant to be.
That's one way to look at it. But it seems to me to be a better move to run it with the best rushing attack in football as opposed to a mediocre at best passing game versus the best secondary in a generation. Dumb move, I say.
Jim Harbaugh's 9ers were so damn good. I missed the 2012 49ers. They had everything that you would want in a team for a chance to compete for a superbowl. Thanks to the clown Jed York, this 49ers team operated by Harbaugh was short lived.
As a 49er fan this game is in my top five of my favorite games.... I went through a roller coaster of emotions watching this game and I really thought at the end they were going to lose but I'm glad that they held off New England and won the game.. this game took place in December and for a couple years New England was undefeated in December so it was the first time in a long time but the Patriots lost a home game in December... Now the 49ers of 2012 made the super bowl and I think one of the main reasons was Randy Moss... Now when the 49ers signed them he was past his prime and they wanted to use them in the red zone now if you look at his numbers that year he only caught three touchdown passes... But ready and Moss didn't have to touch the ball to make a difference because he was a great decoy... The defenses always focus where Randy Moss is at and it took off pressure off of Michael Crabtree who had his best year in 2012 and I'm talking about like numbers were he probably was the best receiver that year.... I really wanted the 49ers the win last super bowl because nobody deserved it more than Randy Moss and Frank Gore as well as Alex Smith and Vernon Davis because besides Randy Moss... They spent a lot of years losing before Jim harbaugh came and times they got blown out so when Jim harbaugh came and changed everything and saved Alex Smith's career which he's one of my favorite quarterbacks of all time because of his story .. I wanted their hard work to pay off... But the Baltimore Ravens played a great game and I congratulated for waiting at super bowl tore me up inside as a 49er fan
This was the game where I realized to never turn off the TV even when the Pats are down big. Even though New England lost this game it was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen when they tied this game up. This is why I still thought NE had a chance in the Super Bowl against the Falcons.
Same here. Classic comeback with Brady taking over the game in the fourth quarter, even if they didn't finish the deal. And just because of shitty kick-off coverage.

It kills me that the 49ers of 2011, 2012, and 2013 failed to win a single Super Bowl championship. This particular team had nine pro bowlers (three on offense, six on defense), and if not for poor clock management, bad playcalling in the redzone in very key situations, and a pair of boneheaded kick returns, they would have likely managed to win three in a row. Not only did the window close right after that, it slammed shut and then the whole house caught on fire. Just painful to see as a fan.

@@rhmayer1 Don't forget Ahmad Brooks. While Bowman was my favorite of the bunch (despite not being a fan of 49ers especially during Harbaugh era) Brooks was good too. They also had Michael Wilhoite, who couldn't get into games often due to this trio, but worked himself onto special teams and I think was a big difference maker in them being more consistent in that aspect. Aldon Smith too, but I don't think anyone confused him for A LB regardless of what the depth chart said. These are long shots, but since you seem to specialize in playoffs when it comes to older years, I thought I may as well ask, just in case. No hurry of any kind, of course. The ones I'm looking for are: -2001 Wildcard Ravens-Dolphins -2001 Wildcard 49ers-Packers -2001 Divisional Ravens-Steelers -2002 Wildcard Colts-Jets
Bart, I was at this game. Thanks for putting this on. Any chance you could also put the 12/28/1998 49ers @ Pats game on as well? I was at that game as well.
Since becoming a Niners fan in 2010 roughly (I'm 20 now) it's been a really strange ride. 2 SB loses, faithful then and faithful now, its gonna be sweet when we finally get the 6th
Kap also beat Matt Ryan in Atlanta when Ryan was the league leading QB, and beat Aaron Rogers in the Divisional Playoff (9ers first playoff in 9 years). And Kap beat Rogers again for the 2nd time at the follow-up 2013 season opener, which was supposed to be the Packer's revenge game. (All 3 games here on YT - all great ones, highly recommended.)
@@BasePuma4007 I was referring to the 2012 Season. Oh, I see the point of confusion. Whoops, Kap didn't beat Drew Brees in the Div Playoff, but rather Aaron Rogers. (Now corrected.)
yeah..they just can't maintain a 4 touchdown lead, they're really up there with the orange crush, purple people eaters, doomsday defense and the steel curtain. you read my mind
benny robinson they kinda got overshadowed by the LOB the next year but this defense without a doubt was one of the most dominant defenses during 2011 and 2012
what i remember about this game was the TD pass to Moss. to say Kap isn't a starting Q today is an erroneous perception. especially with Brian freakin hoyer still in the league.
Did you know in this game Justin Smith tore his bicep. Aldon Smith tore his shoulder. Neither would have a sack during the playoffs and Superbowl. Both had surgery after the season was over. The 49ers may have won the game but this game was actually a loss for them .
The reason the 49ers struggled the year after the super bowl was teams figured out how to defend Kaepernick. The O.C. didn't create new plays which made the 49ers too predictable.
They made it to the NFC title game and couldve beaten Seattle on the final possession of the game. Another huge play was Navorro Bowman tearing up his knee on a would be fumble recovery. The pain forced him to relinquish the ball.
They didn’t struggle😂 they ran into the leagues best defense not named the Niners. Whoever won that game would’ve won the super bowl. Just like the 2021 championship game with the niner rams. Even in 2014 injuries and all they still was 8-8. Granted kaep struggled midway but the defense was clearly a step behind that year
@@kjjr6713 I kinda have to disagree on the 2014 part. Even with all the injuries that defense was ranked top 5 overall. The offense clearly regressed and was a shell of its former self. The issue with Kap vs a guy like Russ was the lack of development and growth.
Exactly and I also believe that Alex Smith should have came back after he suffered concussion and should have became the starting quarterback for the rest of that season.. I know Colin Kaepernick was great when he first started he can run the ball and keep with you with his arm but the part I don't understand is why didn't forget to make more plays and maybe the exact same play without Smith because he can run really good and I'm not saying he's better than Kaepernick when it comes to running the ball or even on the same level but he can throw the good ball...

A shooting in Connecticut. The same year he shot Odin Lloyd there. Weird......... Fuck Hernandez man....... Such a waste of talent.
Grown Man talk about "brainwashed." Lmao! Moron.
gogetta80
Of course it was fake. Cause you said so.
Fuckin' shit-bag.
Was thinking the same thing
1:16 Aaron Hernandez during the tribute to the Newtown massacre victims... little did we know he was already a murderer.
2:06:38 That throw is so clutch by Brady, great composure with the pass rush in his face. Makes it look so easy
ACZiemba 326 that’s cause it is easy... mahomes is so much better cause he can throw outside the pocket
as a 49er fan, I was very happy that randy Moss got sign by the 49ers...if you look at stats....Randy Moss only caught 3 touchdowns that season, bt he made such a difference, a lot of teams double randy moss even after his prime, and it help Michael Crabtree get open,....his stats in 2012 season, were like hall of fame numbers...I never understand why he wasn't offer to play in pro bowl.
Delanie Walker was a 49er?
Yea he was are backup behind Davis missing them both
Yah the niners were stacked back then
ksavage0 Kyle hey man we got kittle now so we alright
This team beat the Patriots in Foxborough, how many teams do that?
Never mind New York, never mind Los Angeles- this is San Francisco vs. Boston(New England)!!!
Yes Sir
If it would have been the super bowl instead of Baltimore I wonder how it would have played out?
It’s a shame how there has never been a San Francisco/Bay Area vs Boston title matchup in any pro sport ever!
49ers vs Patriots
SF Giants vs Red Sox
Warriors vs Celtics
Sharks vs Bruins
These ads are out of fucking control.
Any chance at all you've got 2005's Seahawks Monday Night Massacre of the Eagles? louis noverati uploaded it earlier this week but it was flagged within an hour or two, and I've long wanted to see that game again.
Sweet! Thanks!
Those salty ass eagles fans flagging it. i loved that game
I hate to trouble you further, but I've just thought of a few others! These are long shots, but since you seem to specialize in playoffs when it comes to older years, I thought I may as well ask, just in case. No hurry of any kind, of course. The ones I'm looking for are:
-2001 Wildcard Ravens-Dolphins
-2001 Wildcard 49ers-Packers
-2001 Divisional Ravens-Steelers
-2002 Wildcard Colts-Jets
Bart Simpson Do you have any more Chargers games for download?
Can i have the upload for Lions at Packers 2014 for the NFC North Title
Packers at Vikings 2004 for the NFC North Title
I loved Danny Woodhead .....just a slippery little fella
Boy, did this turn into a thriller.

"...Sunday night shootout..."
Poor choice of words my guy
You said it. Earlier that week there was a school shooting that occurred in Connecticut
It's just a saying. It's really not that deep lol
man this team was fun to watch!
Are there enough ads
Bart, I was at this game. Thanks for putting this on. Any chance you could also put the 12/28/1998 49ers @ Pats game on as well? I was at that game as well.
One of Nfl’s best game-which it could of kept going
1:09:55 Since the punt was first touched by NE at the 36yd line, the ball should be placed at the 26 instead of the 22.
and then York and baalke decided to dismantle this team. what bozos
Are there any full Patriots games in January 2013???
I’m watching 2017 and man all the stories I heard are after seeing this I actually think the stories are real
Since becoming a Niners fan in 2010 roughly (I'm 20 now) it's been a really strange ride. 2 SB loses, faithful then and faithful now, its gonna be sweet when we finally get the 6th
RANDY JUDAH TALK ❤️*✓
WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT WILLIS WE GOING WHEN 7
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Bart you are awesome thanks for upload
Not getting ahead of ourselves but maybe this will be the Super Bowl matchup this year
What made this team so good? Few penalties, ball position and good D.
crazy how in just 4 years the only players left from this squad are brooks, bowman, Brock, an kap from offense an defense
an Staley
Now it's just Staley.
Kap beat Brady and Rodgers, twice
How many rings does he have?
@@truelegend816 bums win rings just by riding the pine, that argument is flawed
Kap also beat Matt Ryan in Atlanta when Ryan was the league leading QB, and beat Aaron Rogers in the Divisional Playoff (9ers first playoff in 9 years). And Kap beat Rogers again for the 2nd time at the follow-up 2013 season opener, which was supposed to be the Packer's revenge game.
(All 3 games here on YT - all great ones, highly recommended.)
@@rhmayer1 Alex Smith was the QB in that divisional game vs the Saints.
@@BasePuma4007 I was referring to the 2012 Season.
Oh, I see the point of confusion. Whoops, Kap didn't beat Drew Brees in the Div Playoff, but rather Aaron Rogers. (Now corrected.)
Brady be lookin the same every year 😂 it’s like he copy and paste his equipment each game
That 49ers defense might be the greatest of all time.
Not even close.
yeah..they just can't maintain a 4 touchdown lead, they're really up there with the orange crush, purple people eaters, doomsday defense and the steel curtain. you read my mind
benny robinson they kinda got overshadowed by the LOB the next year but this defense without a doubt was one of the most dominant defenses during 2011 and 2012
Not even close to being the greatest of all time. They had the best defensive front seven in the league from 2011-2013 though.
This year’s defense is better 💯💪🏾
27 ADS??!?!??
what i remember about this game was the TD pass to Moss. to say Kap isn't a starting Q today is an erroneous perception. especially with Brian freakin hoyer still in the league.
I wish the niners were this good again the game this year could have been in prime time again and it could have been another high scoring one
no it couldn't have been. The niners are awful, why would they put them on sunday night football?
Yea
frozenturtle16 dude, you're an idiot. Read his post again.
Aiight dude chill, no need for hate :]
The 49ers not being able to win a Super Bowl during this decade with these teams (prior to Harbaugh's departure) is definitely a disappointment.
It's 2019. Still my favorite Brady game.. Great watch.
Kyle Arrington would always mess up the games.
Did you know in this game Justin Smith tore his bicep. Aldon Smith tore his shoulder. Neither would have a sack during the playoffs and Superbowl. Both had surgery after the season was over. The 49ers may have won the game but this game was actually a loss for them .
That is right wow I forgot about that it hurt us bad to
Niners left 17-20 points on the field in the 1H. Could easily have been 34-3 at half.
watching this in 2020, just before the SB...Niners could use that secondary right now...and R.Moss !!
KAP was badd then - but something happened to that team - after they lost that Super Bowl to the Ravens - like all the air was let out.
They were still good the following year 2013 after the NFC championship game loss in Seattle that's when everything went downhill
gotta love the 3 consecutive 3 and outs Brady got gifted by his defense to aid the comeback
yeah, defense doing what they are supposed to do, and brady seizing the opportunity, its what you are supposed to do
Is their by any chance you can upload super bowl 46.
@@aaronjackson9385exactly but u can’t talk to these types of people. Kaepernick actually kept us in that nfc championship game against Seattle single handedly
