I am an alcoholic.
I am 1 week and one day sober...8 days.
Most anyone reading this may laugh but.....for me, that's a big deal.
Its a start.
I am done, I am exorcising this disgusting toxic demon from my life.
This video only helps motivate me more.
God Bless and Be well.....and be grateful for what you have.
-D.
Nobody is laughing at you... In fact we are cheering you on! Amazing so far and you got this 💪🏽💪🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Absolutely not laughing at you Dave, this is s huge step, so congratulations. Now it's time to live brotha, best decision you'll ever make. Cheers (without alcohol)lol
I too was an alcoholic, it destroyed my life, relationships, health, and self image. It's been out of control for me since 2020. In time alcohol began to make me SUPER depressed to the point I felt like I couldn't escape it. I'd make it a week before and relapse. I'm now 30 days sober and feel night and day different in a positive way. Now I'm excited to go 30 more. I had temptation a few times, but I turn to videos like this and pictures of what my face looked like during that time. Just 30 days I've noticed a tremendous increase in sleep quality, mental clarity, energy, and best of all my skin in my face! Its full of color and complexion again. Coming from someone like me that drank a minimum of a 12 pack a day or more and even more on the weekends, trust me this video is spot on.
You can do this!
I'm heavy drinker(alcoholic) 12y. Today 7 day sober.
Well done Kabila now do another 7 days
I’ve been sober 16 months and feel so much better
You'll start seeing an amazing transformation after one month - better sleep, lower blood pressure, better skin, no bloating, improved mental clarity. Keep it up - it's worth it! Hubby and I took our last drink at Christmas.
I was a hard alcoholic since I was 13 years old. I am currently 40. I am proud to say that today I am 15 Days Sober ❤.
Yes alcohol is the gateway drg for most. It’s so protected because it generates Ad dollars for media outlets so they don’t report the truths about it. It kills more pe than all other drugs combined! Way more.
I am on Day 1 and I need to get through these 30 days... Pray with me
Alcoholic for 26 years and I am only 42. 4 months 10 days sober today.
Just hit my first FULL month (31 days) sober. It is absolutely astonishing how much my body and mind have changed in that short a period of time. I also massively changed my diet (cut out ALL inflammatory foods including Gluten, Dairy, etc)...so basically only eating Fruits, Veggies, Lean meats and eggs. I also started exercising as much as possible (a minimum 4 hours of cardio a week, yoga everyday and some lifting thrown in for good measure). I have lost 26.5 pounds, my visceral fat has disappeared, sleep has gotten so much better, anxiety has disappeared and mentally I am on cloud nine. I feel like a new man. I pray I can keep this going.
@@willtaylor7467 Yes sir....now at 27.5 pounds lost. The weight loss is slowing down but has not stopped. Do keep in mind I am doing a whole lot more than just not drinking. I have changed my diet completely (including eliminating all inflammatory foods), working out 6 days a week mostly cardio, etc. It is nothing short of a miracle what the human body will do if allowed to eliminate the toxins we feed ourselves. Looking at my before and after photos, you can see how my body was holding a large amount of fluid/water weight because of the poisons I was ingesting (alcohol daily being the biggest one followed by dietary poisons of gluten, dairy, etc). It has just flushed out of me.
@@willtaylor7467 Ummmm man, thats a good question. Probably not as much as a grizzled alcoholic. I had a rule that during the weekdays I only drank after 5 PM...but I would start with a couple of stiff whiskey drinks. (I pretty much went through one handle of whiskey a week). Then I would move onto a couple of IPA beers (around 7 to 9% ABV) and end up with a glass of wine or two. That would be a typical night with some nights being less or a little different but you get the idea. Then weekends I would drink beer during the day and mix whiskey in later on....pretty much the same the as during the week but just spread out more and I would probably have a bit more since I was starting early. The main issue is that I was drinking daily which never gave my body time to actually recover. Crazy thing is I was working out like crazy also trying to run away from a bad diet. If anything I probably just made things worse since you cant expect your body to grow from working out if you are destroying it with alcohol at the same time.
@@jc7887 yeah spot on. I find when I drink I make really dopey food choices too. Anything high-fat and deep fried was on the radar as soon as I had a couple of drinks in me. I loooove Bourbon too. Can't get enough of the stuff. I'd go through at least 2 bottles a week (though often 3 or 4). I like all the single barrel, extra aged stuff too (which is all 50% + alc by volume). Did that for 2 years.
Been off alcohol for over a year now and have never been happier. No 12 step, no bs program, just raging alcoholic to deciding no longer drink.
@@PrestigeProPainters sorry I’m new to this I just figured out that I had a message to answer question. Geez is over 47 years.
Been an alcoholic for the past 10 years. I'm 32 now and I've tried sobriety many times and today is day 27 for me. In the past, I normally fell off on day 5 or 6 and began the cycle all over again. What's sustaining me this time, is learning to be more self-compassionate and accepting the fact that I'm a worthy individual that's worth taking care of. Might sound corny to some of you, but it seems to be working for me. If you're struggling with alcohol, please begin with some self-compassion and know that the struggle is a shared experience with many others!
Same, 32 yo and been drinking heavily for the past 10 years. I'm on day 29 today. Good luck 👍
My family 31 drinking 10 years aswell made it 12 days and drank last night so back to square one.
I am 38 and drank everyday. My wife said she noticed I was slowly drinking more and more. Just before Christmas I got blackout drunk. My wife took a video of me, which was really embarrassing to see. I have not had a drop of booze since that day. It’s encouraging to see that my body can rebound from me poisoning it for the last few years.
Good on you...I made a video of my alcoholic husband passing out and spilling his whiskey and..nothing has changed
Well done Ben.. Keep it up.. Cycling. Gym. Walk. Sleep.. Read.. All will help as well.
Just done 3 years , best thing I ever done. Cannot explain how much your life will improve . Good luck .... you can do it
.
⬆️⬆️ look up my handle he sells all microdosing and psychedelic stuff 💊🍄🍫🍫…
I have always wondered about this, how has your life improved? I drink once a week (usually on a Saturday) and it is three fingers of bourbon. It is not every single week (I get busy, have plans, etc., so I might missed it a one week or two) and I do not notice any difference at all.
I am thinking this comment is more for people who drink often, are alcoholics or are binge drinkers.
@@NeverDoubtMe23 Naturally there will be a noticeable improvement if you are a big drinker & stop. @NeverDoubtMe23 What.. you drink maybe once a week😂 you are basically a teetotaller & don’t understand. If you stop..ofcourse there will be Zero difference- don’t be silly
@@b-dogs1038 I was just asking a question, I always hear about how revolutionary it is to stop drinking and I didn't get it. I am a "teetotaller" because I work out six to seven days a week, I don't want to undo my progress but I also love bourbon.
I just don't see how this is revolutionary news....did you guys not know that moderation is the key to life? I am pretty sure we all learned this in 5th grade, did you really need a youtube video to tell you this? Isn't that the real "silly" part of al this? Hey, water is wet and fire burns! Just in case you didn't know ;)
@@NeverDoubtMe23 yeah you’re right.
Some ppl get in the habit & over indulge.
I gave up for 6mths not 1 drop(just because didn’t feel the need). I didn’t notice a speck of difference mentally/physically from this total withdrawal.
I’m now back to drinking a few most nights of the week, feeling fine. Giving up totally for some is the only way to go
I’m 75 years old and alcohol free for 35 years! No pot belly! Minor wrinkles! Still working! People say they don’t believe my age! I get ‘carded’! Also, 27 years no pot! 18+ years no smoking! Vitamin regimen daily! But not enough exercise! Working on that!
I'm in my 60s, and have a similar story. I thank God for giving me the ability to abstain from drugs / alcohol. PTL ❤️
I’m on 118 days sober. I never thought I would ever be at this point. Mostly doing this for my newborn daughter. I grew up with alcohol and it was always a negative thing in my life. Having her makes me get through the really hard days when I just want a beer but I never want her to see the things I saw. To anyone reading this, as long as you have your why. You will accomplish anything. You can do it and if you ever feel like no one believes in you just know a random dude in Chicago is rooting for you!!
I hit my 30 days recently; heavy drinking for about 10 years. By far the best improvement I’ve seen is the pure *enjoyment* I feel again. The littlest things are fun like when I was younger and I can focus on enjoying the now.
Awesome, congrats!! I’m about 40 days in. I really want to still somedays but the benefits are outweighing so far.
I’m 23 days sober now. My sleep has drastically improved the last 3 nights. I woke up this morning at 6am after 7 hours of unbroken sleep feeling amazing.
@@timetowakeup6302 great thank you. Just over 7 months in. How about you?
I started drinking alcohol since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting alcohol addiction. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. This is something that really need to be use globally to help people with related health challenges.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Greece. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.
YES very sure of Dr.benfungi. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
I love shrooms. Congrats on the 8 years, that's awesome! I'm clean 4 years now. Good luck.just micro dose and you won't trip. Same story just that mine is with fentanyl and anxiety. Mushrooms literally got me off my feet and turned my whole life around. I am currently a housing manager for a recovery program. I wouldn't have been able to do that shit without the help of psilocybin.

I'm 64. I have been drinking all my life. I stopped for New Years. I also started Keto and 20/4 Intermittent fasting. I feel great. I lost 15lbs. Due to my inflammation disappearing I haven't had to have a pain killer in 2 weeks!
Laura Nelson - Congratulations to you. Keep up the great work! I'm proud of you.
Great job! How is your liver function? I'm 61 and done with this lifestyle.....

13 days alcohol free so far. Best digestion in years. No heartburn. Mentally clearer. Everything you are saying is true for me.
Man that was me. Margaritas times 4 or 5 per day were KILLING MY STOMACH with acid. Now, 13 days sober and not a pain whatsoever. Done with the poison. Finally at age 63.
I noticed I had lost a belt loop after 18 days. Incredible explanation. Good luck to everyone fighting their demons, you are not alone
Amazing man! Yeah I've noticed the same. I've been sober about 5 weeks and I'm dropping in fat around the belly.
Almost 2 months sober, may not be impressive to most but for me it’s a huge step. I’ve been in the gym, and started fasting. I’m on my way to be happy and healthy.
8 days into no alcohol and feeling so much better. Thanks for pushing this message.
We’ll explained, I just started my 30 days without alcohol , after watching this it motivated me even more.
For everyone on their journey to recovery keep it up. Your not alone. Im fighting the good fight as well. All prayers are welcome 😊
My first two weeks off of drinking (almost every night) I was tired all the time. I could live off of 4 hours of sleep a night when I was drinking and smoking weed. now I go to bed at the same time as my kids. But now after 16 days I am getting quality sleep and waking up feeling well rested.
The biggest change that I notice is that now I dream at night, super vivid dreams that I can remember in the morning. I also don't toss and turn as much and my arms don't get numb when I sleep
Not pot 2months and the dreams are incredible so clear and remember most of it. I've had enough done it for years but I'm done .
29 days today with out alcohol, I’m aiming for 30 days. I wanted to prove myself I don’t need alcohol. I am going to keep going. I just had to confess this to someone.
today is my day 30 ! will keep going ! i was drinking a Pt. of bourbon a night> I hope you are doing well !
i quit alcohol for 30 days back in june and now it has been 7 months. so crazy. i love the benefits so much I kept going.
Do you agree about the better brain function, better memory etc? Have you felft that change?
I quit drinking alcohol almost three years ago because of allergies due to binge drinking daily. I was congested for almost three months which led me to quit and live an alcohol free lifestyle. After quitting for about thirty days my congestion was drastically reduced and so far I've been congestion free for the last two years. I've also noticed great improvement in my memory, cognitive functions and am no longer experience episodes of depression.
In the beginning of 2020 I weighed 170 pounds and was a light drinker. I’d only drink once or twice a month. Fast forward 3 months later, we were all in lockdown because of the pandemic and I lost my Mother. I lived on the other side of the country and couldn’t attend her funeral or grieve properly. I was drinking a bottle of wine a night. I was also doing a lot of cocaine and just numbing myself to not deal with the emotions. A year ago I stopped doing cocaine after experiencing a near fatal overdose. This past year I’ve been drinking and eating excessively. I’m up to 210 pounds. I’ve decided enough is enough and I’ve gone cold turkey. Today is day 5.
Similar experience when i lost my Father early 2020, it doesn’t get easier just got to get tougher & learn better ways to deal w your grief & pain. Create a light in your darkness. Thats what i did.
I drank beer every day for over 30 years. 6 to 12 a day
... I went to the emergency room for a heart rhythm issue, and wound up getting the DT's. I had no idea where I was, thought the staff were people from my past, and I was completely out of it for 7 days. I was so unruly and in such danger I wound up in intensive care for 10 days....It's been a year since I've drank, I'll never drink again....
Stopped smoking and drinking December 20th, 2022. After years of doing both, I now sleep better, less bloating, body aches and anxiety. I am more focused on living a healthier lifestyle. Glory to God!😊❤️
I've been alcohol-free for 23 days and the changes to my digestion have been great! I was diagnosed with IBS. Since then the changes has be incalculable. Stronger at the gym! Been sleeping way better too. Thanks for the video. This has been eye-opening.
Its hard to keep drinking if you are working out. Why waste a good workout ? Common sense seems to set in and just feeling good.......becomes feeling great. Doing the same you are now. I'm 74--already feel better than when I was sixty. If you slip a day-forget it,and just get back in routine. Good days will win.
@@johnquillman785 I was so much of a party animal but I loved working out to the point I would leave the gym then go get plastered a few hrs afterwards 🤦🏾♂️ Im now 17 days sober for the first time in years!! I feel amazing
Mine now doing to good had to go get vivatrol to make it 30 days listen to someone telling me it was safe to drink alcohol on vivitrol maybe I had a bad reaction to it I'm not sure had one beer that I really don't like and apparently bought a pint of wiskey and don't remember most of the day
Never thought I’d make it! 32 days and counting. We can do it!
I haven’t drank and have been strict keto since November 2nd and I have never felt better. Thanks for the great content as usual.
Your comment needs context.
How much alcoholic drinks did you have on per week basis before?
I quit Nov 1st and I feel absolutely amazing. So much energy now. I have picked up books that previously I just couldn’t absorb and put aside but now completely understand. Years of being numb is over. Have never slept better. Was drinking about three bottles of wine per week minimum.
I have decreased my alcohol use and started microdosing with psilocybin. Wondering if you had any thoughts on that. I feel amazing.

Lol these religious nuts on YT, can't even credit their own achievements.
30 + days sober, and I’ve gone from 240 to 225. Crazy to see the positives being sober.
The timing of this video was interesting for me, I stopped alcohol 6 days ago for Ulcerated Colitis symptoms. The information you had relating to IBS was quite surprising with the addition of all the other benefits. I had only planned a 30 alcohol free trial to see if it would help my symptoms, but now I am looking forward to, and will keep an eye on the other benefits to keep me motivated. I already eat well and exercise 5 days per week, so I sense this can be a dramatic change. (I was the 25 drink per week person). Thanks for backing this up with research.
I’m 2 yrs sober and it’s help me from joints pain and inflammation.
Hi mate - alcohol free 3 months now. Absolutely big changes in visceral fat. Love your work - thank you
30 days sober and going strong 💪
I went 3 months without drinking last year and the visceral fat reduction was the real deal. Time to cut down alcohol down quite a bit again. Timely video, high five!

I quit alcohol for a month and I was absolutely exhausted for 2 weeks. I did notice a difference in my skin- it looked much healthier but I did't lose weight which I was really hoping that I would. Everyone is different. I didn't notice magical changes but I know that it helped me detox. Need to do this again.... we glamorize drinking so much in our society but it's really actually horrible for us.
Try intermittent fasting combined with no alcohol, the weight will fall off you
Add iodine. Take it with selenium or you cant absorb it. The best iodine supplement is IODORAL 12.5 MG TABS. $58 for 180 tablets. Will last you 6 months iodine and selenium are vitamins that we don't get enough of. Every organ has to have iodine to work properly.
Try dandelion tea to help your liver, then you’ll likely lose weight
31 days sober. Better facial complexion. Sleeping better. Better breathing/cardio. Less aggressive. Less anxious. Exercise much easier. 🤸🏋️💪👍😊
On day 4. How’s everyone doing? I’m definitely trying to go sober for as long as possible to cut down the visceral fat and dehydrated feeling the night after.
I gave up sugar, alcohol and carbs for 30 days, lost 10 pounds and felt AMAZING. Note: the first 2 weeks were horrible as my body adjusted. After 30 days, I still don't do carbs or sugar, but I re-introduced alcohol, I started getting joint pain again. I drank more to relax and stop the pain, but the next day, I was in MORE pain. So, I'm back to no alcohol and the joint pain is gone again.
This video popped up when I was evaluating my drinking.
Yes, this is true.. I stopped drinking for a month and lost 10 pounds.
Then I started drinking wine.. and gained 15 pounds.
So, today I am going to stop drinking ALCOHOL again.

Awesome I’m on day 26 and feel amazing brotha! Hope your staying strong, you won’t regret it in the least. It’s life changing. Lost 8lbs and have more energy, no more anxiety, metal clarity, sleeping better, etc.
me too, bro. never going to get the stomach I want with alcohol in the mix.
I’m on Day 94. So far I’ve noticed I sleep better, have more energy, and better focus.
I’m 41. After a heavy drinking night, it takes me up to a week to feel like I’m fully recovered. Honestly it’s just not worth it anymore.
I heard someone say the feeling of not being hung over is better than the feeling of being drunk.
I am 47 and can work all day and drink 15-20 beers but but but, on the wagon right now which I do at times to heal my mind , body and soul up..
Day 12 here after 4 years of daily drinking, and let me say - I am seeing so much of this! I was especially encouraged to hear about the mental clarity/word recall because it makes me CRAZY to have to sometimes think of a word that I typically would have used without hesitation. I'm not where I want to be, but I sure like the changes I'm feeling so far!
im 60 and started drinking at 14..and im finally sober.. 1 month yesterday..my belly is going down..i feel so much better..my lufe is better..
I’ve always been very athletic but during Covid sadly became a heavy weekend drinker for the last couple years. I wouldn’t call myself an alcoholic but just tired of being not my best self. Im at 11 days and already feeling amazing! Intense workouts, clean eating and don’t plan to go back to any alcohol. It’s such a waste of time and energy!! Great video!
Similar story here, not an alcoholic but I drank heavily on weekends and usually once a week enjoyed a few drinks. On day 11 at the moment and I definitely feel much clearer mentally. I still think I'll enjoy drinking on my birthday or new years etc but definitely not going to go back to weekly drinks or even monthly.
6 years of alcohol abuse here, 10 days sober.
I just ran 12 miles yesterday, my energy is way higher now!!
It’s been 2 years since I’ve had a sip of alcohol. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I honestly don’t plan on going back. I used to drink almost daily. 😳
Great job Thomas! I stopped drinking a long time ago and it made a huge difference for me. I also, about 5 years ago, started getting really extreme with weight loss which was basically 100% eating way less with many fasts mixed in and almost nothing related to working out. I'm 6'8" an went from mid 200 lbs. range down to just below 180 lbs. But within this past year I got a little undisciplined again with late night eating and not a great diet which led to some weight gain. Not to use this as an excuse, but work was the most stressful year I've had in a long time with the job. I like to eat so it is certainly a challenge, but your videos are a help to get me refocused.

I can 100% attest to the healthier bowels. I did a 90 day (MOSTLY) alcohol fast starting in October - After drinking what is considered heavily for years really - I had chronic "bowel issues". It's now been 95 days and I alway do dry January so it's gonna get extended to 120 days. I digress. I Have been making consuming fermented foods and drinks for over 2 months now. My bowels are healthier than I ever remember. My bowels no longer gurgle all day long either. I have never really ever gotten hangovers - friends always hated me growing up coz I could drink all night and wake up and want to keep going. Unfortunately, the lack of hangovers just made me drink beyond what I should on a regular basis. We will see at end of January - I may not go back to drinking at all. Thanks!!!

It's now several months later and I have still MOSTLY abstained from alcohol. I drink maybe 2x per month. my gut is still in the best health it's ever been (at least as far as I remember). working with an (online) personal trainer 3x a week and walking/jogging EVERY day on my own 5+ miles. I am feeling much better as a whole than I have in a LONG time. Never realized how much of a fog I had actually been in until I stopped for so long. One day a time!!
I've been pretty much sober for the past 10 years and I haven't felt better. When I go out with a buddy, I drink a red bull or two and enjoy the company. Thank you Thomas for an excellent video.
This is so true Thomas from personal experience. Stopped drinking/social drinker. Within 3weeks my doctor did a full panel. A1c -2points Cole sterol down 👎. Improvement almost immediately!!! And hamburger, mushrooms, asparagus tips, good pink salt, lemon water. That's it. The doctor and I were shocked. I was 240 , now 225. 1 1/2 months now. Want see the doctor until March. Will post again. Love to all
There can be some initial problems like insomnia or sugar cravings the first several days that get far outweighed by the longer term positive effects. I'm on my way to at least a 30 day break and I can feel the bloat going away and improved GI function. I'm adding in NAC and medicinal mushrooms to accelerate those improvements and to assure my liver heals. I had some family tragedies last month and went off the deep end for a few weeks. I look forward to undoing that damage and getting back into some pants that have been on a shelf for a couple of years. We all can do this.
Really great video. Ive been a 30+ drinks/week guy for about 20 yrs straight! Just started my journey...I am now on my 3rd day alcohol free. Can't wait to see how my health improves as I continue on this path of quitting alcohol! THANK YOU
5 months no alcohol for me. Biggest thing I noticed was the clarity. Books I’ve picked up and then put down because they were too confusing, now are some of my best reads. So much more energy. Had a health scare and that was it for me.
I recently passed the 180 day mark and WOW WHAT A NEW LIFE I HAVE CREATED FOR MYSELF!!
I had to quit or my life would wither away. The Dr didn't tell me but I knew in my gut and my brain that
bad things were soon coming my way. I don't miss it at all and I didn't replace it with anything else
mind numbing. I just said ONE DAY AT A TIME and kept reminding myself HOW GREAT I FEEL NOW
vs how crappy I felt then. I have since read SO MUCH INFO and watched so many UA-cam vids about
what drinking does to your body and health and how easy it is to reverse the damage! Now is the time!
I am forever thankful and I am that new person! You can do it, too...
Cutting alcohol has turned my life upside down in a great way. I quit 3 months ago after 16 years of drinking. My debilitating anxiety is almost completely gone. My sleep is amazing. At about 2 months mark I dropped 9 pounds. My skin is clear. I love to drink but it just isn't worth the havoc it plays on my body.
I’m 90 day’s alcohol free and imma be honest. I don’t really feel any different or look any different. I’m sure my body is healthier overall though.
I didn’t drink for a year, no real reason just overall fitness and eating clean. In the last three months I’ve been enjoying a daily bourbon 🥃 and feel great. Not everyday but most days I have a drink or two. I feel healthier, it’s weird.
Same here. I don't feel much different. I just can't seem to stop once I start. So it's easier just to not start in the first place.
I do dry January every year and usually make it to Valentines Day. The benefits really start around day 15. More focus, ambitious, sleep better, digest better, better eye sight, skin clears just to name a few.
Day 14. I’ve also been doing no sugar. Honestly I’ve been pretty irritable... 😕
I'm 42 days sober at the start of a new recovery journey. Thanks for this vid, I'm trying to incorporate a healthy routine into my daily life also
I’m 16 days with out alcohol and feeling great every day, sleep patterns coming back to normal ,clear headed mind ,less irritable with myself and others, exercising becoming a priority. However I’m aware of the cravings, this is not my first time at the rodeo- so to speak, I’m taking
L- glutamine powder along with magnesium citrate and 5HTP tablets
Plus smoothies loaded with protein, collagen peptides and maca.
Thank you for providing and sharing all this knowledge, it does help me and other ppl I’m sure to be consistent in our health and to make a better choices
THANK YOU, I was getting a little concerned about my drinking and the WHAM!!! This video just popped up out of nowhere.... this give me some motivation.
Drinking is just as addictive as sugar (for me personally) I have a very addictive personality, so it’s very hard to give up the things I love. I have to do things like making a schedule or intermittent fasting so I can put myself on a box so to speak. If not then I’m totally out of control. I’m an “all or nothing” kind of person. It can definitely be a good or a bad trait depending on the circumstances, but it makes life challenging!
Great video as always, Thomas.
Informative and inspiring.
I wish you and your lovely family a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year.
This video is probably my favorite, it just gets you pumped and looking forward to all the sweet coming changes!!! Thanks man, you are really making a huge positive difference!!! Bravo!!! 👊👊👊
Thank you so much man. You can not imagine how this video has spiced me up right now to try save my life💥💥💥
This was a great video. Reminding me to keep going and reminding me my Why I started the Dry January and hoping to keep going after January. I am 13 days without Alcohol and have already noticed some changes in my gut, I have already lost a few pounds, feeling lighter and my mind seems clearer. Thanks for the tips. Another tip I’ve been doing to help the body rid of the toxins is doing a detox bath. ❤😊
Thank you for making this video. I have tried to quit so many times but I can’t help getting drunk at work. I am in medical sales and I am almost the number one producer in the area but I am getting hammered with doctors. I don’t know how to do my job sober. The money is so good and I’m not sure what else I would do besides sales. I have been looking for different type of supplements to help me improve my gut Microbiome after destroying it. I’ve been doing Dr. Mike’s super smoothies but I’m glad to see a healthy probiotic. I think I’m going to give it a try if possible, could you please make more videos about alcohol? It really helps being educated.
Interesting! This was very helpful information. Thanks for sharing, Thomas!
I'm doing a dry January. After slowly noticing my drinking habits creeping up the past 6 months my body needs a break. I'm still in good shape, eat well and train regularly. I have a 6 pack but I think I have extra visceral fat as my stomach has been sticking out a bit even when fasted. I also noticed I'm mentally losing my edge. Hoping to notice a big difference after the month break! Even if not I plan on drinking way less than I was.

I've been 1 month without drinking when I was a daily over drinker for many many years, I've lost 20 lbs my energy is way up, stamina an endurance improved, mental clarity is better, my mood is elevated, mood swings are under control an my daily motivation is up 100 percent an my appetite is decreased. Since feeling better I've also started to use the sauna religiously as it's my new happy place I feel the best I have in ages. Update, i should say i have also been eating an anti inflammatory style diet along with a candida diet, an i work with a homeopathic nutritionist. but just crushing grains, dairy an sugar an eliminating them is the biggest factor for success.

I love the selfless substitute plug at the end. Love your content, it is truly valuable for my life.
Thanks Thomas. I need you, and you give. I can't think of an better roll model. keepin it tuned in
I’m day 119 no alcohol not one drop after 2 liters Jack 30 pack of beer a week for many years. I went on keto diet the same day. My BP was 160/117 P 108 everyday just about. Now it’s 111/70 P 59. Sleep great feel great losing weight.
Most importantly don’t give up. If you do not end of the world just start again. I’ve drank for over 40 years. Quit for a couple of days a 100 times at least. This time diet and no alcohol go together. Memory better too. Just don’t give up. I used an app
That just counts the days that’s it.
Quitting at first was miserable but after about 5 days I started feeling good. Little more than 4 months I’m getting healthy ALL LABS are normal now. The bonus is 54 pound weight loss. I am dedicated to not drinking and eating like I was. I don’t call myself an alcoholic because why tag myself with a negative connotation. I just consider myself a non drinker. I don’t call myself a junk food addict either. I just think of myself as work in progress.
Try it there’s nothing to lose. It’s also free to quit alcohol. 😀BTW I’m not selling anything.
25 days sober during Xmas holidays! That's something...
That's great! I did 80 days til just before Thanksgiving. I'm back at it on day 2! Going for 100 this time!
Hell yeah! Especially when the holidays can be the perfect reason to drink (stress, anxiety, to celebrate, etc)! It's not easy but good for you
For me it's been about a month now, though the month before I didn't have any either, the lapses of time helped me to realize that my psoriasis flares are directly caused by alcohol, no matter how little. I used to drink 1-2 drinks a few days per week and suffered so much with skin issues, I didn't know were connected to the drinking. If I have any, i'll suffer for weeks after.
Thx for this. Heavy drinker wanting to stop. Good reasons & explanations in this video. Pissed as I write this but having another go at quitting tomorrow.
wow i have seen these youtube alerts of your channel for well over almost a year i think? but this is the first time im watching your segment and its so real and so detailed and well informed. Thank you.
Thank you. May I ask what has stopped you from clicking previously? I’m just always trying to better the brand.
My experience with stopping drinking was exactly as you said, bloating gone, significant weight loss 2 weeks in. Coupled with moderate walking exercise I lost 11 kilos within 8 weeks, glucose dropped, blood sugars dropped, everything just improved.
All this is enough finally to make me stop
But I needed ALL the attributes
THANK YOU THOMAS
Your absolutely the best - thanks for the insights and engagement!
2nd day of no drinking I just told myself I'm ready...let this journey begin!!!
I’m on day 5 and so excited to give it up for good 💫✨
Dude, this video teaches so many aspects of health and wellness. Thank you!
A superb analysis and summary. I've been training every single day for 4 years, and in the past month- no alcohol. The mental, emotional and physical changes after only 30 days have been phenomenal.
I am 75 days in alcohol free and I really feel a difference. I am a much better person and I am actually having fun at parties. I got this desire to run, so I am running about 40-50km per week
I changed a bit when I also stopped with caffeine for 3 weeks ago. That was actually much harder and I still feel extra fatigued from time to time. But sleep is much better.
Anxiety is lower andI feel more calm. If you are considering quitting, I can highly recommend it.
In the beginning my brain functioned better, kinds of like when I am fasting. But since I resent quit caffeine and is in withdrawal, I do not feel the benefits so much. I plan to do 365 days with no alcohol or caffeine and after that I will decide if these drugs are for me in the future. (Edit- spelling)
Weekend drinker, decided to stop altogether a month ago as I’m going for hernia surgery and wanted my body to be in a better place to bounce back from the operation. I honestly feel so much better. I think I’ve had that lightbulb moment pretty much by accident. I’m done with booze and I’d recommend to anyone thinking about doing it to give it a try.
Gave up alcohol, every time I drink I feel terrible
Wowwww so well explained , thank you so u much 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Doing 90 days! Great video thanks. Always good to be armed with motivating facts! 👏🏻
Today marks my 30-day milestone, and I felt compelled to share the profound changes I've experienced.
No longer am I startled awake at 3am for a bathroom trip; for the first time in a long while, I'm sleeping uninterrupted throughout the night.
I find myself not struggling to keep my eyes open in the evening, instead naturally drifting off to sleep at a reasonable hour.
There's a newfound zeal I've discovered for numerous tasks, and my mental focus is sustained for longer stretches during the day.
The increase in my libido is quite significant - it might be too personal for this context, but it is indeed a major factor that contributed to my lifestyle shift.
My blood pressure is back to normal. It is now 125/85. Before it was on average 170/115 and that was with medication. That change happened in 1 week!
I've never been an excessive drinker, averaging between two-thirds to a full bottle of wine daily over countless years. Nonetheless, I can confidently say that life has notably improved.
5 days in. Already seeing changes. Yes to being alcohol free!
11 days in now. I feel like me again. In the best way. Im happy, no feelings of anxiety and depression. Sleeping like a baby. Why did I wait so lo g!?
I can relate to everything this man said. Great video!!
Thank you very much
Wow this video articulated a lot of my suspicions about my 4 bottle of wine/week habit. Visceral fat, bloating, leaky gut, immune system issues, fatigue, back pain, etc. I thought "I'm going to have to live with this the rest of my life!" Thank you for showing the science behind this. Until recently, I had been binge-drinking, then stopping for a while/hitting the weights/running, then back on the bottle. That has to stop. Thanks so much for making this video!
I was never a big drinker, but used to enjoy a few adult beverages a week with friends. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I haven't been able to drink alcohol for years because I discovered it's a migraine trigger. After a few weeks of feeling sorry for myself, I realized the health benefits, and I'm actually thankful that my migraines made it so that I couldn't drink. The weird thing is how many other people are uncomfortable with my not having alchohol, so I try not to make it obvious. If I'm going out to a bar I just quietly ask the server to give me something that looks like a vodka cran but hold the vodka. If I'm making the drinks, a recipe for a mock girly drink that I like and isn't too bad healthwise: 1oz ginger juice, 2oz lime juice, 1tsp honey and a small bunch of mint (buise the leaves and mix the mint with the liquids or throw all into a blender and give it a whir) pour over ice into a tall glass and top with carbonated water. Most people just think it's a mojitoesque drink and don't question it. Added benefit - if your friends who drink want to try, you can just add a shot of vodka to their glass ;)
