I used a Link end for my trailer tongue and a metal link/shock ball end with a stainless bolt and nut through the stock Axial bumper/hitch I had. It's plastic and had a hitch ball molded onto it, but I ground it off and drilled a hole through the flat base. Give better pivot angle going over an obstacle.
Love the trailer. The connection to the hitch does not look like it would have much articulation left and right if you were to pull on uneven terrain. I do like the idea of a winch on the front of the trailer to pull broken vehicles on with. Great videos.
That's sweet ! It looks so real and scale . I love your vids , can't wait to see you pull up to the mud hole with your mud truck on the trailer and rip it up
Hi um tried the link box you put in the corner but it says the video isnt there love the trailer and the hitches their AWRSOME they out did them selves with that its great look forward to seeing it in your adventures
That is a cool trailer. I've never heard it called a beaver tail I kind of like that description. I think I'll use it if you don't mind. We call them dovetails where I'm from. Do u think people around here will look at me crazy when I say beavertail? Lol..
that really is a very good looking trailer man!!! already seen the bumper, now the trailer, that Krazy joe friend of yours really has some skills ;-) give him my regards for the great work he´s done. show us more :-))
always enjoy your videos, Iam die hard nitro guy, but watching you guys in the trails has me thinking a trail machine would be nice in the winters, the new wraith. keep up the good work.
I use a Ball Joint and End link for my trailer. Easy Snap on Snap off. It's not bad especially if you use a 1/8th or bigger scale ball join and end link, They're a bit bigger and can handle more abuse when pulling a trailer! I did however have it pop off one time which was amusing not having the tow chains hooked up. watching it roll back down the hill and eventually flip over with my rig on there was amusing.
The only thing I can see popping up is when the truck and trailer are at angles the collar might want to bind. You may need to use a small sloppy collar. Great trailer and hitch. Looks nice!
Just wondering, since it has been a while. Did this hitch system of yours survive the first hill it went over? As it looks like it will only rotate in that one direction...
MEDiC this is AMAZING. I built a caravan for my Honcho, need a trailer now so I can pull the CF100 or my drifter :-) Hope you don't mind I sent a video response of my caravan. Great work can't wait to see it on the trails. Don;t forget everyone head over the the RCSparks website - you will love it.
You talk about water drainage so I assume the trailer will be on the trail and off camber. Wont that hits give you problems not being able to pivot from side to side? I know its kinda stupid but its what I keep thinking about lol. Details details lol/
i was wondering how wide is the bed of this trailer? from the outside wheel to outside wheel of the truck i want to haul on the trailer I would need 11.5 inches. This is would have a bit of space on either side for loading
I'm looking to build a tri axle trailer to haul 2 1/10 trucks. I was considering the goose neck style. And a 5th wheel. Any help would be great. Rude boys did some nice work!
@djmedic2008 dude this is amazing. With especially with the tow package for the frame!! It's brilliant. The other day I was thinkin about makin one and drew up a plan but this trailor set up blows it out the water. Well done !
Hey Medic, would you know where a newb could get some detailed info on building axles for a custom trailer? I am attempting to build my own, but i'm really struggling with how the axles should be properly designed and assembled. I heard you say the axles are fit with bearings, so measurements must have been tight. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated. cheers.
That is so nice!! i think you should of used 1.55 tires. just cause if you think about it if you used a super scale truck like no lift, you would probably have 1.55 tires and so i think the trailer would've been more scale with 1.55's just an opinion but it looks so sick as is! i like the pine? i think you said so shiny!
I know you have probably answered this question a million times but does krazy joe ship trailers for people? Im in montana and i know he's in canada but i really want him to make me a realistic looking trailer to fit my slash
how does is the bearing's held in side the axles like you were talking about I am trying to make a trailer and that's the thing I cant figure out is where the bearings are held and is the old axles and how did he do the shafts inside the axles did he use a threaded shaft going all the way threw the axle or did he us a solid metal shaft and use a tap and make his own threads?
hey medic can you please tell me what the dimensions are for the trailer and also what size metal and type used to make the trailer? please reply back thanks
I think your hitch idea will create vertical binding problems. That is why a full size hitch is a ball, “unlimited movement” in the vertical and horizontal directions.

It's plastic and had a hitch ball molded onto it, but I ground it off and drilled a hole through the flat base. Give better pivot angle going over an obstacle.
One of THE most heavy duty trailer I have seen. Great suspension setup!!
Joe did a amazing job hand making the trailer love it
I've watche this video alot. Great work from Rude Boyz! I'm currently working on my own home-made trailer for the Speed Rustler project. Great video!
Love the trailer. The connection to the hitch does not look like it would have much articulation left and right if you were to pull on uneven terrain. I do like the idea of a winch on the front of the trailer to pull broken vehicles on with. Great videos.
That is AWESOME, would look super sweet with some of the old Tamiya Chevy S10 tires.
blown away with rude boys craftmanship
you should put a winch on the front to pull the trucks onto the trailer
That's sweet ! It looks so real and scale . I love your vids , can't wait to see you pull up to the mud hole with your mud truck on the trailer and rip it up
what a nice Trailer, well done
I know this is a old video but that is a nice trailer medic. Paint job sure makes it look professional. XD I'm jelly.
Love the simplicity of the hitch think ill lend it
Beautiful work
This video gave me such a good idea of the size of these trucks, thanks medic :)
Yeah love it, I bought on eBay a used trailer, looks like this one

Great trailer man. Looks awesome. The rude boyz look to have made you a great quality product. Hope to see it more in your videos and later on.
Just wondering, since it has been a while.
Did this hitch system of yours survive the first hill it went over?
As it looks like it will only rotate in that one direction...
HanZie82 I believe it did
That is super cool!
Did krazy Joe make the hitch to Medic? Please tell me because i want to make a trailer and that hitch is really really cool.

Where did you get all these cool cars.?!!?

Where do you get the axals and leaf springs for this, Im looking in to possibly doing a truck and trailer project.

Can you give me crazy Jo's # so I can buy a custom trailer.
You should somehow use a tie rod end to give you up, down and side to side bind free movement.
Very cool trailer btw
What is a good trailer ti haul a slash with
That is so nice!! i think you should of used 1.55 tires. just cause if you think about it if you used a super scale truck like no lift, you would probably have 1.55 tires and so i think the trailer would've been more scale with 1.55's just an opinion but it looks so sick as is! i like the pine? i think you said so shiny!

Looks cool
I think your hitch idea will create vertical binding problems. That is why a full size hitch is a ball, “unlimited movement” in the vertical and horizontal directions.
whats that round cylinder thingy called ????
I cant find where to order a trailer. I went to the site. Just seen a review on it
For your hitch why don't you use a closed turn buckle and its pretty close to scale ball n tongue. Thanks for the vid made a replica of rude boyz
Man I have used the emaxx tie rod ends and the ball on a 3 mm screw and looks just like a real ball and pops off and on
Qiadguy112851 said it , it don't have lights ! That would be slick . You could run the wires and cover it with the plastadip .
Are these trailers available for purchase? Love that trailer!! And the vids!!
That thing is awsome!
