Those shocks are insane. I’m surprised that Polaris didn’t advertise them heavier in their promotional material. They are, alongside the new NA 2 liter engine, the best part of the vehicle. They are also by far the most important aspect for real world use.
Love the video! Great job! I had no idea who this was till I remembered seeing him at erx lol you guys need to open erx up for utv playtime.. I work at polaris Osceola building all the drivetrains for snow atv utv and Indian.. I know all of us would come and support erx if they did a open track or beginner race day.... it would be amazing!
if you can make a video of how it sounds by driving it around with different rpms including some wot runs. I know i for one would love to hear this thing rip.
Dude! You might be the first person to post a real video of an actual Pro R in real life. LOL. Do you freaking love it? I can't wait to get one. 4 seater for me. Can you make some more videos of that thing ripping around? Rock on bro!
Yes I love it. It’s mind blowing that it’s a production vehicle that consumers can buy. Trying to get more content out! It’s a Polaris vehicle still so I have to get the OK first.
Thank you! I am a factory racer for Polaris and this vehicle was used for test rides at the launch event that Polaris had for employees. Yup you’re definitely right haha definitely not mounted transverse 😆
@@andrewcarlson15 guys I missed that employee event... lol. They never let us who actually build the engines have any fun... we only get to see the videos early...
Can you let me know if its still really hot in the cabin? I really want this side by side, but my wife will kill me if its still super hot inside the cab. We usually add a full windshield and door covers. Thanks
I drove them for a few days in johnson valley a few months ago and it was over 100 degrees. The center council area is much cooler in the Pro R compared to a lot of other UTVs. They route the clutch duct though that area and it moves a lot of air through.
Based on the awesome experience I hadr demoing the pro Xp, I would say the pro R is just as good if not better with cab cooling. The doors are designed to flow more air into the cab as well as the center console, not only that but the firewall has more surface area to dissipate heat.
I was never a fan of RZR but this has my attention. However can but wont buy one $40k-$60k is stupid. most important for me is how the hell do you change that belt? They will break and to change it you have to remove seats, rear panel. ducting etc.
I get what you’re saying. This is not a good representation of what it sounds like. On the other hand, when you’re going 90mph over 3 foot whoops anything sounds amazing
The Good: Stronger roll-cage and improved suspension & hub. Bad: CVT. Too Heavy. Poor gas mileage. Too wide for single-track. Overly complex. Far too expensive and more expensive to replace components. Did I mention CVT?
Cvt clutches are extremely simple to understand in the UTV application. And how does it make poor gas mileage? The Nissan cars today are getting upwards of 40mpg thanks to cvt clutches. You don’t buy a side by side to get good gas mileage. This new pro R 4 cylinder should get plenty good fuel mileage over its twin cylinder predecessor. An automatic transmission would be far less versatile for the wide array of consumers Polaris is selling the Pro R to, whether you’re a desert rider, rock climber, or duner the CVT is the way to go. Look at how poorly the talon has done with its automatic transmission as well as the YXZ.
@@andrewcarlson15 it looks a dinosaur egg with an engine in it. The front end reminds of the old 90s camero with that fish mouth look. Nothing desert or race car in the looks of this machine at all imo.
The best review video I’ve seen since the release. Thanks for all the information!
Wow, thanks!
Hit any sweet jumps in this lil whipper snapper?
Not anything I wouldn’t hit in a mini van🤫 but I’d also hit about anything in a van
sell the maverick and buy one
You guys need to go one of these!!
Great video, as soon as I saw the vintage snowmobiles in the background I subscribed.

great video! would be cool to see more of these style videos with all your toys
Thank you for the feedback! Anything in particular you would like to see?
Thanks for posting same one I just ordered. Looks better than online in your video. Keep whipping out the vids!
Thanks, will do!
Don’t forget the clutch inlet duct in the center of the hood that also feeds fresh air through a duct right to the clutches.👍🏻
Cool vid AC!
Great comment and knowledge, you must be the `Max Verstappen` of the UTV´s. 👌
Please do a video of it on the track with good audio! I want to hear that 2.0 under load!
I'll see what I can do!
Your he man!
Had to reply to your comment because you have an awesome name. Lol..
Great Breakdown!!
Very cool to see a drivers perspective. Thanks. - Clem's Enumclaw Powersports Enumclaw, WA

How hard is to get to the belt, if need to be changed ? On old 800 was PIA. LOL
Working on making a video showing this👍🏼

Does the stock width actually measure 74”? My turbo s measured 74” when I bought it. Trying to decide what offset wheel to run lol

Awesome video! How did you get your hands on one so quickly? The engine is mounted longitudinal, not transverse. I look forward to your future videos.

@@infabprojects push 1 button per seat 6 turn clips firewall is off pop off clutch cover.. can be done in 5 minutes
Whats the clutch & belt access like?
Crap......like the 800 series cars....
You can do a belt change in under 10 minutes.. I did it once and now could do it in 5... it's very easy
What clutch? I thought it uses a CVT Transmission?
It's a cvt.. it uses driven and drive clutches
Nice work on the video. 74" width is a deal breaker for me with the woods riding we do.
Fricken sweet bud
mo power baby. you gonna run it this year in pro mod?
I ordered mine the day they said they were coming out. It sucks there is no inventory and we are forced to wait months....... Let's Go Brandon !!
