Dave Grohl (paraphrasing)
"I sing to a crowd of 76,000 people and they sing it back for 76,000 different reasons."
THIS is the moment you wait your whole life for as a performer and it is beautiful to witness 🥲💞🙌👏
@@kingmortz Well thank you!! You're a breath of fresh air in this forest of trolls lol.
I can't take credit for DG's obvious brilliance, but quote is spot on. It's transcendent and awe-inspiring to see such hard work and dedication (by the band) have a ripple effect on so many people.
I wish every single person on this planet could have that "moment in the sun" just for 1 day in their lives, despite whatever their dream or profession.
Hope you have a great day! 🤝😁
It's crazy how 20,000 people can't carry a tune when singing alone but when 20,000 people sing it sounds FANFUCKINGTASTIC
I'm not religious anymore but that was the best part of church growing up. Everyone singing in unison.
Someone wrote lyrics when they felt alone… becomes a hit… other lonely feeling (or can relate) people relate to the message… they sing together in unison and harmony. They’re not alone. It’s deep and poetic to me.
Brandon actually wrote this song after finding out his significant other at the time was cheating on him. So it's quite a personal song for him I would imagine.
@@221BBakerStreet true. That’s what I mean. Alone like he couldn’t trust his lady at the time or other etc. But true, can’t imagine how cool to have a personal song that people sing back to you in a happy “I have fans etc” sense.
“they're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinkin' alone” ~Billy Joel (The Piano Man)
Could you imagine being my man when 20,000+ people sang his song to him? So few talented artists experience this, Im happy it came through for him.
True.
Noel Gallagher performing don't look back in anger is also another one worth watching.
30,000 at that stage for that. 140,000 at Glastonbury with Jonny Marr.👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
There had to be more than 30k at this concert. The entire show is on UA-cam. Maybe I’m wrong. But live in Glasgow 2018
Brandon even is silenced by the crowd! Never have I seen that! Great song!!
nope, that part of the song (the Jacques Lu Cont Remix) doesn't have any vocals
@@marcuscrumpton8568 yes it is lmao -- it's the 17th track on Sawdust and they've been doing a 50/50 of it with the "electro" version of Mr. B (as printed on their setlists, of which I have) for years. Do you not hear the slower tempo and the plodding keyboard?
How fun is it to be so defiantly wrong?
@@mackenziek8383 😂😂😂😂 whatever you say mate! 😂😂😂😂 how does it feel to be so definitely stupid? 😂😂😂😂😂
Can you imagine the flood of emotion being on a stage in front of so many people and ALL OF THEM singing your lyrics back to you? Absolutely amazing!
Nothing like Live music; one of the best anthems ever.
The word “anthem” has been overused for music recently, even for dogshit trap. But yeah, this is what the word anthem should really mean.
It must feel amazing to hear so many people singing a song you wrote by yourself
This is when you know that you have reached Queen status, when the crowd sings your song for you strangers from different parts of the world All in harmony with each other. This song is a Timeless Classic 💯💯💯🌄
I was instantly crying when he stopped singing and saw his reaction
I love how you can hear the collective accent of the crowd 😂
he looks so extremely happy and so proud im literally crying
I went to his concert last night and this is what happened when he played it as his ending song it was so fun and a moment i could never forget!!
Words can not describe how happy this guy is at this very moment, so he just smiles and takes it all in. Must be a great feeling for an artist to experience this.
I have watched the whole live video probably 200 times, I get chills everytime
I think 🤔 that it is the biggest honor in the world for a performer when the crowd sings out loud during their performance.
When you hear your crowd singing over you…means you made it!! And yes he even kept humble…that’s an artist in my book 👍🏽
That is what sharing music is all about. Bringing together performers and the audience.
I’ve seen them live twice now, and both times they have let the crowd carry the majority of the song. It’s a blast
I trust musicians when they say its not about the money. This feeling you cannot buy.
Indescribable
Imagine that feeling of having so many people appreciate what you created. The whole of the crowd was in harmony . Massive song, massive band . #lovethekillers ✌️
That song is more a movement than just a simple piece of music 😅 so lovely!
You know you've made a banger of a tune when the crowd screams it back at ya!
Absolutely one of the best songs this side of the millennium! I’ll never get sick of this song and all the emotions it brings from my youth
This is why I love music
Check out Mr Brightside live at São Paulo - Lollapalooza 2013. It’s simply outstanding, such an immense crowd, everybody was thrilled and jumping like crazy, defo the greatest concert i’ve ever been to!
Thanks, I'll take a look. South American crowds are always best haha
As others have said, repeated by musicians. The greatest compliment you could ever receive as a performer.
The moment when you know you’ve definitely arrived. That was great. Props to the crowd.
Seriously one of my favorite bands and vocalists. Words cannot express how much I love this band.
I was there, it was fucking brilliant
there is something so relieving about that song
From a performers standpoint this has to be the best feeling. It doesn’t happen to all.
I wish I could go to one of his concerts!
He's genuinely one of the best live performers of this generation, natural born showman
WOW!! Tears....that has to feel unreal live and in person from a bands perspective!!
Moments like this makes me feel so happy filling my eyes with tears of the beauty of people being completely NSYNC. Sounds cheesy but I get chills for moments like these.
I am literally crying he is so proud and so happy 😊😊😊😊😊😊
This song means so much to me my goddaughter and I used to sing this together before she passed away at 6 years old brought goosebumps and a tear to my eye xxxxx
He did a full set including two new songs The man and the calling and then teased the crowd as he hadn't sung Mr brightside yet then went off and did this as an encore song so the crowd was super pumped up and belted this song out when they started playing this song was such a good end to their Glasgow green set
This must be the most satisfying thing a musician can experience.
That’s so beautiful. The power of music and great song writing 🎶🎶🎶🎶
This song bringing the world together at least in one generation
When your ART touches so many people! What a blessing!
I love this song and this band. What a special time 💥💫
Glasgow Scotland🏴🏴 the best crowds
This is the best. He need to know how much he is treasured 🤙
Love coming back to this amazing concert live!❤
This is really touching. I feel like it's such a special experience to start up a song and then your entire audience starts singing the song so loud that you can't sing over them, so you just stop and enjoy that for a moment.
Spent the opening thinking about that, but I was singing along and tearing up by the end of the short. lol
This hits hard when I’m just a learner on guitar with no band whatsoever but I dream of this and nobody else knows
GLASGOW 👏😍
Anyone else get shivers?
Something tells me they would be awesome to see live
the most precious concert ever!
Chills!!!! Love them to bits ❤
Goosebumps
So sad that the clip ended just as the roof was about to be lifted off! Probably my best memory of being at a music festival, V2009 at Chelmsford singing Mr Brightside with thousands of completely mad, lovely strangers!!
I was one of those strangers. I've seen Mr Brightside live over 30 times and that night was in my top 3 for sure. 👍
I love and impressed by the fact that EVERYBODY is into this song. It’s not a girl band or a boy band, The Killers are an Everybody band.
Omg so great! They make u so happy
Love this song when I was a kid, legendary song
Incredible … immortality moment
Saw him two months ago and this moment was magical.
Awesome song and Band!!!😊
The most magical moment in every artists career and he's had his momemnt I'm always so happy to see these
Every time I see this ONE clip I get cold chills because it’s such a breath taking moment, it’s just really great
This makes me so happy and simutaneously so sad at same time lol. Props to that guy and the crowd. I will never know what that feels like
To be a part of that on either side is an amazing feeling!
I think it's the greatest compliment a band/singer/songwriter can ever get...
Brandon is Awesome!! He's doing great! His family is so very proud of him❤ I am best friend with Brandon's Uncle. He only listens and knows every word to every song Brandon has written!! 🥰🌷
I need to see them in concert! ❤
The power of music
Please go see these guys live. They’re unbelievable!
I never realized just how much a moment like this could mean to a singer until I watched this video. ❤
What a beautiful experience it must be!!!!❤
Must feel amazing to hear that coming back at you.
few songs have the power to unite people like this. truly special
He's still so handsome.
That's freaking awesome that the fans did that.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Im 30 and to this date this is my all time favorite song. Been that way for about half my life.
I also love when they perform One soul's warning. The audience sings full lungs: "I got soul but I am not a soldier. Superb🤟🌟
How freaking cool!! What a moment
Love it when you see an all-star group of musicians starstruck and in awe for themselves! They deserve it as a band forsure!
Why did I start crying 😭💕 THIS IS SO AWESOME!!
Very close, their live concert from royal albertson’s hall will forever be the best concert I’ve ever seen, on UA-cam or in person. That crowd was great.
That's gotta be the most amazing feeling on stage.
Amazing starting out singing that song then after years they sing it in perfect harmony back to him
This was beautiful.
Mr.Brightside favourite song of all time ❤
This made me stupid happy
He didn't even need to be there
That must be the best feeling EVER!!
真喜欢他们。每首歌都好听极了!
When Brandon stop’s and looks at the whole crowd who are in unison sing the whole song he’d realised (relished) the moment he’d made the same mark of Queen live in 85’
T in the Park , Balado, Scotland 2013 I wasn't even suppose to be there, I was one of the hundreds of bus drivers but couldn't miss this for the world so we all had a free pass in and took this opportunity to experience one of the best nights of my life at a concert, I then had to drive these fans home to Glasgow and we were all still singing on the journey back.....that's how a band does it to you
You know you and your bandmates have made an everlasting impression and impact on your fans when they take over the show and sing your music back to you.
This entire concert had one of the. Best crowds you’ll see at any concert ever. Hands down my favorite live performance by the Killers.
The best Mr. Brightside cover I've ever heard
Brandon was humbled. This is every performers dream. What a magical moment
He does this on every performance of mr brightside
Don't assume to know what any performer dreams of, let alone all of them
@@Andy-Bodhi imagine getting triggered by that god shut up
No way, his name is brandon!
@@simonviper3333 I've never heard a crowd sing it like the one.
